Ehh, to tell you the truth, I only really know about 4chan because of their infamous "rules of the internet" memes. I think going there now would be like comparing this forum to how it was back in 2010.

Yeah, it's a long way from what it once was. Back in the day you could have a conversation there but there was always that cesspool type of atmosphere to it, which was kind of unique because it was like the wild west of the Internet. You had no idea what you'd see there, some of it was disturbing, but there was something to it that appealed to the natural morbidity of the human condition. Now it's quite tame and a bunch of sperglords arguing about politics.

There are dating websites that help people with poor social skills, and considering how many people have internet, there really is no excuse to not being able to find a partner.

Realistically, how many healthy long-term relationships actually begin on dating websites?

Rarely do long-term healthy relationships begin from online sites of dating/matching/pairing/whatever. But it's a start, and it's better than nothing. I'm willing to bet that good partners don't need websites to find other good partners, mostly.
