Well, I feel like I want to join something but I really don't know what. I'm gravitating towards Fallen Light right now just because of a character idea, but I'm also lazy and don't feel like reading through everything to figure out what's going on.

Pretty sure I need help in some capacity.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I can help with that.

Okay, let's start at the beginning.

Wolf's character, Aylin, the chosen one, was out wandering the woods when she stumbled upon Azi's 'tribe' - the Colonists, who are based off of Europeans. The colonists were small in number, but had gunpowder weapons. Aylin yelled them to put out the fire, because the Blood Tribe - the dark god's servants and the ones who massacred Aylin's tribe - are in the area. Because of all the yelling, the colonists thought they were under attack, and then proceeded to fire at each other in the darkness... for some reason.

My character, Joric Ironfist of the Iron Tribe, happened to be in the area, leading a scouting party. He saw the smoke and went to investigate. Fortunately, the colonists had ran out of bullets by the time Joric's group arrived. More yelling ensued, and then the Blood Tribe showed up to attack.

At this point, Joric noticed a mark on Aylin's shoulder which signified: "Yo, if this girl dies, the thread doesn't have a plot." So, he immediately decided to help her. After he and the colonists repelled the Blood Tribe, he took Aylin and left, but the Colonists mistook this as a kidnapping and threw a grenade, but one of Joric's men kicked it into a bush and they got away.

Joric then took Aylin to Dormoor, the Iron Tribe capital, and brought her before the King. The King was eager to offer aid at first, but then his son pointed out that they had few resources to spare, and there was a very good chance that Aylin could be lying, so instead he decided to simply give her a better weapon and assign her an escort.

A wild Annie Wells appeared! She had apparently been following the group the entire time. She attempted to lie to the guards in order to convince them to let her in. They were almost convinced, but gradually began to see through her lie, and instead knocked her out and imprisoned her. While in jail, she met my other character, Rilton, who considered helping her. But ultimately he decided against it, as he himself was about to be released, and Annie refused to heed his warnings about her upcoming execution.

But while all this is happening in Dormoor, Azi's vikings arrive via riverboat to another Iron Tribe settlement called Daralt. Fifteen of them visit and stay at the town itself, where they receive a warm, but wary, welcome - they are kept under guard and forbidden to carry weapons, but the chief also invited them to a feast and allowed them to stay the night. Meanwhile, another fifteen went to explore the countryside. The purpose of both groups was to find more information about the chosen one they had been hearing so much about.

Fast forward to the next day (if a world in constant blackness even has days), and Aylin, Joric, Rilton, and a few other unimportant soldiers have set out on her journey to... she hasn't actually told them anything yet.

They, the Vikings, and a group of Blood Tribe scouts have just stumbled across each other on the road, and a fight has broken out.

Meanwhile, Annie is being tried before the King who is willing to spare her life if she sells out her own tribe. And in Daralt, the Chief is currently holding a tournament for the Vikings there.

OK George, give me some time to read through your posts and get the prologue up, but I am currently eating supper, so may need an hour or two.

Ha, sounds like Dreadgrave had quite the day.

I don't know if there are any schools of pyromancy in Rome, I'm guessing cults of Minerva would be a means for it. Greek virgin women practiced pyromancy in worship of Athena, and the Roman equivalent being Minerva, I suppose there may have been a cult to Minerva worshipped via pyromancy. In Scions, we assume schools of magic are taught in temples or universities. It's up to you. I suppose schools of magic would be taught in a Temple of Minerva or at a university.

@.@ why would you want to know the food I am eating? Well, I am eating a baked steak, potato salad, baked potato wedges, a pickle, and leftovers of boiled peas, corn, carrot, and pea parts. I can sure taste the peaness.

Oh, and I forgot to say, very nice summary for Fallen Light, Not!

No worries, I've got all the time in the world.

I've been real interested in the whole redemption thing lately, so it only made sense to me to make a character who has very strongly turned over a new leaf. Finding redemption for his past deeds by saving kids and being a real bro of a bro to all the folk who need a hand. Maybe save the world or something too, that would probably get his name changed.

I thought I left his history on a very easy to work with note as well.
