Azi, I was just thinking of how quite a lot of the Holy Order of St Ambrose are not actually from Astriki, in fact not even from the Helens. I've been writing some bits up on short backstories of some of the night guards and how the foreigners got there, linking them together for something a bit more interesting I have planned later.
Also, is it possible for someone currently alive to become Unhallowed later, after they die?
Prepare for hell on RuneScape in
Naval Cataclysm!
Yes, you become Unhallowed after you die. Unhallowed are undead who came back from death on their own, not summoned by others, and have independent thought and interests.
Anyways, I will be leaving soon to help my move stuff, will be back far later.

Agreed. If we give the undead free will, they will start demanding pay for their labor. Then they will start demanding equal pay to their living counterparts. Then they will start unionizing. Then they will start striking. Next thing you know, there's a communist revolution being led by the ghost of Karl Marx. Madness!

Man, I just remembered a scene from a book called Mogworld, where a necromancer brings back an entire army of undead, only to discover they have free will, and then has to negotiate a labor contract for their services.
Dreadgrave, I think his name was. Best Dark Lord ever.
