I feel like if you focus on the entire world, you'll end up with everyone spread out across the factions. You'll have like one black knight, one white knight, a neutral TzHaar, one or two freelance mercenaries, Annie, and possibly a vampyre or something.
Don't necessarily make it about the factions, but if you do, try to condense it down to about two or three.

Well not about factions, then what?
I was thinking of something rather ambitious, but the idea would be that whoever you end up working for, or even if you're going freelance, you would end up running into opposition quite quickly. The Sixth Age is meant to be about all of the different factions, both religious and political, playing their cards in rapid succession to get a stranglehold on the world/retain their position in the wider narrative.
A black knight, for example, wouldn't just be sitting around in Taverly Dungeon or the Black Knight Castle all day.
Maybe instead of factions you could intro for regions, like you describe the current state of Asgarnia, Misthalin, Kandarin, etc. "In Misthalin x group of Saradominists is battling y group of Zamorakians near Lumbridge, riots in Varrock, etc."
Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.
Sorry if I'm throwing cold water on your idea, but I've always been a bit skeptical of great big open Sandbox threads. But many of the threads I dismiss actually tend to do quite well for themselves, so there's that.

ZCRP was a huge RuneScape sandbox, and it (almost) finished two threads.

Yeah, but there were more roleplayers back then, and I remember it being more confined to about two or three groups.

No need to apologise, I understand the criticism completely. I do tend, every so often, to get ideas in my head that are of such a grandiose nature that they end up being utterly impractical. TFQ/TCG/ITF have been some of my more modest works. At any rate, I asked for feedback, I'm hardly going to kick up a fuss because you complied.

Venom, last page,
I did attempt a Sandbox thread before making As Demons Weeping but it was not successful, but did get a few posts. This was why I formed ADW with a sense of direction, and it was immediately way more successful despite being criticized for just that by a user who was interested in the thread but chose not to partake in it. As I said several times, users are always allowed to inquire, suggest, or criticize anything I do. At least in my opinion, for a first-time RPer and thread owner, I'm not doing bad despite a few really big mistakes on my part, but I learned.
