Ha! Now, let's try to figure out the RS equivalents of our characters in ItF!
I guess Spirry is that area you go to via the mind talisman, to make mind runes, and I suppose also that area in the Stronghold of Security, though I don't know which character he'd directly be as.
Oh, and in ItF, shall I go ahead and post Spirry's reaction to being shot in the head, or wait for someone else to post?

Keep in mind that the tier system is non-canon, and isn't the be-all-to-end-all in terms of ability or potential. This is actually referenced by Zaros in the quest "Fate of the Gods".
Zamorak directly references it in Dishonored Among Thieves.
Also, yeah, I know it doesn't necessarily dictate a god's actual skill, and that it simply refers to what they can do with their power - Tier 1 can create and destroy entire worlds and species, Tier 2 can alter life, Tier 3 can control thoughts, Tier 4 can create portals, etc.

The Staff of Armadyl is actually a power conduit, not a weapon.
It is both.

As a siphon, I don't think the Staff actually needs to kill a god to transfer power (Zaros isn't dead, is he?)
Consider you need to impale them, it is extremely unlikely that they will survive - Zaros only survived because he was Tier 2, and had the ability to leave his form behind and become a sp00ky gh0st... but that also left him without a body for thousands of years.
And even if you do let them live... why would you let them live? You now have an immortal being that is ****** at you for stabbing them, and also wants their power back. I see no such angry god chasing Armadyl across the cosmos.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
Zaros, for example, is extremely passive, what with being stabbed by his most trusted general and friend and as a result being sent back to his mothers basement for a couple of centuries. If anything, Zamorak has more to fear from the other gods (who fear the same might happen to them if he is not made an example of).
Maybe Arma stab a god like that?
EDIT: I suspect Zaros survived because Zamorak didn't know what the Staff of Armadyl was, besides that it could kill gods. The fact that Zaros had to be impaled was more a case of "how do I shoot web?" on Zamorak's part. Which can be forgiven, since it's not like he has a broom closet full of Zaros clones to test the siphon on. I hope.

But Zaros is a special and unique snowflake. He thinks of things logically before he thinks of them emotionally, does not give in to petty things like revenge, and he has had thousands of years to get over it.
Any other god would want Zamorak's head, since what Zamorak did to Zaros is like the god-equivalent of being beaten and violated to an inch of your life in a dark alleyway, and then deported from your country.
Maybe Armadyl's god was an oppressive tyrant? Or maybe Armadyl was much more arrogant back then but changed his ways later on?
One thing is certain though: they are going to have to give us SOME dirt on Armadyl. Every other faction has their flaws.

Zaros survived because he left his body before Zamorak could kill him and absorb too much power
But yeah, Zamorak's inexperience was another factor.

By the way, a Jmod posted a crude comic about Zamorak's betrayal on Twitter. It was called 'The Empty Throne.' It really highlights how Zamorak was such a calm, rational, intelligent, and humble individual back then.
If you head over to the Lore forum, there's a sticky thread with the title that links to all the pages.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
Zemouregal is more about zombies and skeletons. Brodus's power would be more akin to Sliske's wights. Then again, Brodus does not care as much about theatrics as Sliske does, and is more concerned with advancing his own power like Zemouregal. He has the arrogance, too.
Yep, Brodus is Zemouregal.
I sort of regret limiting Brodus's power as much as I did, but I felt it necessary to prevent him from becoming too overpowered.
Also, the 'Dorgeshuun goblin chick' is Zanik.
Let's see... I can't think of any other parallels with my characters. I suppose Cirion would be like the male version of Ariane, maybe?

It doesn't matter what flaws the gods have, Sue-ros is the god of the player base. People supported him before we even knew who he was, and the vast majority of players support him now that he's the one and only god who will lead us to salvation against the Elder Gods.
There is a reason for the results of the World Events, and they unfortunately have nothing to do with any of the information you can find in-game.
World Event 1 was won because people hated Zamorak more than Saradomin (because Sara isn't a threat to Zaros yet), not because people actually believed in Saradomin.
World Event 2 was won because the majority of people farmed Armadyl for the rewards. It was a landslide, Bandos had no chance after people took his warpriest - people just wanted to join the winning team. People also constantly asked why Zaros and the Godless weren't playable factions, which lead to...
World Event 3 was won because all the Zaros followers decided to join the Godless, since Zaros was content with watching and the belief that the Godless will always be seen as a joke character in the eyes of Jagex.
Regardless of the motivations of the Gods or their creeds, the game will always be swayed by Zaros.

Eh... you sure that wouldn't be Ubaid?

Yeah, you're right. I got Sliske and Zemo confused. Also Zanik was censored in that last post for some reason.
There's Dwaves name Doric and Boric, but neither of them are like much our favorite Punmaster.
