She shoved it into her sack made of very fine leathers and decorated with gems and jewels, along with the folded coat. As she stepped outside, she instantly remembered that Forrest had disappeared inside of that house, with the lady… “Time to ruin his good time!” she chuckled, storming towards the house. Nearly there, she began to wonder if it’d be extremely rude to interrupt.. whatever they were doing, probably. But who cares, she was starting to get bored, and Aiden and Caden were busy stuffing their faces, Anastasia was probably close to being drunk, and Lowe’s eye never drifted far from his drunken angel while she was around.

She stood before the, suddenly imposing door and hesitated momentarily, before smashing her fist repeatedly onto the hardwood.

Forrest and his lady friend were sitting casually, in her well created living room, a lovely, very well crafted fireplace kept the entire room at a comfortable temperature. Forrest was not one to be bothered much by the elements, but even he found the piercing winds of Fremennik province to be unbearable, without proper protection. “So Forrest my dear, how have you been?” she asked, pouring a steamy cup of coffee for him, she personally did*’t like coffee, and had instead made hot tea for herself. Forrest took a sip from the, near boiling brew and sat the wooden mug down carefully on her oak table.

“Well, I bought myself a house in big city Varrock, honestly though, it don’t get much use, so I’ve started renting it out.” He felt uncomfortable, he had left the Fremennik lands with a lot of unfulfilled promises, but he intended on making things right, that was the whole reason he came along with his friends.

“I did*’t like that city last time we visited, too noisy.” She said, stirring her cup. Forrest took a moment before replying, she was lovely, her long golden hair had not faded in the slightest, and she still retained her womanly curves. He assumed so much would change in the time they were away, but that’s not what happened at all… it was looking like he’d be capable of picking up where he had left off.

“Me either… I was thinking of trying to find a home in a, quieter area.” He said as calmly as he was able to, but she could tell he was slightly nervous, she laughed on the inside, looks like Forrest had finally found his emotions. His blood was practically ice water when she had first met him, and his heart was made of blackened steel, but she had mellowed out the, hot tempered, uncaring beast that he once was. What few people realized, was that beast was simply laying dormant, waiting until something rubbed it the wrong way, and sent it on another blood crazed frenzy.

“Forrest darling, you know I don’t have any spite towards you. You were younger.. we both were, and if you’d like-“ a sudden knock on the door interrupted her. She and Forrest’s eyes connected and locked for several moments, before she finally walked away. “I hope it’s not more of my ex’s.” she jokingly said aloud. Forrest placed his palm on his face and wondered why he had ever left this place, he could be raising a family by now. He shrugged it off, he was going to try and make this work one more time. It suddenly became extraordinarily difficult to concentrate as Azura’s girlish voice could be heard from the front door.

“Damn it to hell.” He mumbled to himself, that girl had the worst timing. He thought back to the time he was hunting with Lowe and Anastasia, and unfortunately Azura had tagged along as well, for she lacked anything else to do with her time. And there it was, the largest, mightiest looking Larupia you have ever seen, paws the size of your head, and those alone would, without a doubt sale for thousands.

As the trio aimed their bows carefully, Azura’s low
attention span had gotten the best of her, and she startled a small flock of birds that were resting on a low hanging branch, while she was “Trying to get a better, closer look.”, needless to say, the larupia heard the birds, shortly afterwards spotted the hunters, and then fled the area. It was an older, experienced beast, one that knew to avoid human hunters as often as possible.

“Forrest!” Azura said, she jumped and landed on the couch he was sitting on, causing him to spill his coffee, which managed to find its way to his crotch.

“Damn it Azura!” she had only seen him angry once or twice… and she found herself to be rather startled by the boiling anger she could see building up inside him. “Stupid little…”

“Now now.* Dalla said, rubbing his shoulders firmly, “It was just a little spill. Azura dear… I don’t even know you.” She said with a soft giggle “but if you don’t mind , go fetch me a rag from the kitchen, it is right up the hall from here, they’re under the sink.” Azura nodded and skipped away, humming to herself.

“She gets under my skin, real bad.” Forrest sighed. Dalla leaned and kissed his cheek softly.

“I know that must’ve burned, but she is just young, and apparently, easily excitable.” A sudden crash emerged from the kitchen.

“I’ll clean it up!” Azura shouted cheekily down the hall, Forrest smirked.

“So, how do you know her?” Dalla asked, wondering if by any chance he had been dating her, because all the girl said at the door was “Hi! I’m looking for Forrest, I saw him come in.”, before Dalla could even finish replying, she had pushed her way past her, and into the living room. She was going to scold him if he was, she couldn’t have been any older than 18 or 19.

“Well Dalla, I’m here with a group of buddies, we’re heading off to the Lunar Isles in the morning, and I met her through two men named Aiden and Caden, you see they travel around constantly looking for new challenges, they were looking after some “Kalphite Queen”, and it was Azura who helped them track it down, and slay it. And according to Aiden and Caden, she enjoyed the thrill of adventures, and tagged along with them, ever since.”

Dalla nodded, taking in all the information. “Sorry… I accidentally knocked over your pots and pans rack, I cleaned it up though!” she smiled, handing Dalla the rag. It took only a few moments to clean up the spilled coffee. She moved a chair next to the table, and poured Azura a cup of tea, that had been deluded with milk, since she feared that any small amount of sugar might just give the hyper girl a heart attack.

“So tell me about yourself.” Dalla said, sipping from her cup of tea. The group began to exchange stories and soon, laughter.

Mean while, many miles away, on the fantastic island of Karamja. Two young boys, no older than 10 were laughing whilst racing one another through the dense brush of the island, running took a special kind of skill on Karamja, you had to watch every step to avoid steeping on a snake, or tripping over a root, but of course if you planned on winning the race, you have to be swift, and staring at your feet could be a good way to crack your head open, with the thick littering of trees. But it came naturally to the kids. A low hanging branch nearly smacked the one named “Chata” in the face, if it were not for his lighting fast reflexes, he ducked under it, and pushed forward into a roll, before leaping back to his feet, laughing hard.

“Noice tricks!” his best friend, Gamba called out. The two could run long and hard without any problems, for it was a task that had been performing since they were younger, running supplies to and from the hunting parties, from village to village, everywhere they did run, for any number of tasks. The young were not spared from the work in Karamja, for there was too much work to be done for anyone to sit around lazily.

“Der day are!” Gamba shouted out “I beat*ha too ‘um!” he shouted, sprinting with all his energy towards the group of hunters by the coast, they were throwing out fishing nets, but there were also some small animals that had been slain laying near their current location. But, what was that thing? Chata dared not reply to the comment, for he would need all the breath he had in order to beat his, slightly older friend. The two slid across the sand, landing with a ‘thump’, laughing and giggling, but were rather surprised by the sudden.

“Shut up!” Jagter said in a low, but firm voice, “boys, for our safety… be quiet.” He wasn’t the type to be rude, but they might just startle away the creatures which were drawing closer to the shore. They had anywhere from 4, to 10 tentacles, a single large eye attatched to stalk, and a certain gracefulness in their movement. But they were uncertain if they were edible, or not. “Here is what we gunna do, we scoop’em up into a sack filled wit water, and we have da boys run it to the shamaness, and she will know if they are edible.”

Carefully, Jagter took steps into the water, his net in hands, before making a quick lunge at the odd blue creatures, it fought back with much more power than he expected; it was nothing like the karambwan, they were powerful creatures to net, but they did not rip nets open, or lash out towards its capturer, it’s tentacles seemed to have small teeth in them, and it left a nasty cut on Jagter’s mighty arm. “it’s a fighter!” he roared out, shoving it into the animal hide sack which had been filled with the salt water the creature was used to.

“Okay boys.” He said, handing the sack to Chata. “Run swiftly, to the shamaness!” he watched the two dart off, back into the brush, like monkeys. He looked at the cut on his arm, it wasn’t looking too pretty. He began to wrap it up, and sent out two of his hunters to search for healing herbs, which, with any luck would remove any infections or disease the creature might have had.

“Whatcha ‘fink day are, Jagter?” his second in command, Abate questioned. Jagter was almost certain he knew what this meant, but there was no way he’d be informing anyone, not even his closest ally, and friend.

“I do not rightfully know.” He lied, and began using some cloth to stop the bleeding. He wasn’t really sure how the slash was so deep, so large, the creature was barely two feet long, and those little teeth on the inside of the suction cup really couldn’t have been too large, but if they were what he believed them to be, it might not have been a physical attack, at all. Abate sensed his life time friend wasn’t speaking truthfully, but he was aware that he would be told the truth, when it was time.

“Da bleedin’ don’t wanna stop, eh man?” one of Jagter’s hunters asked from behind him, holding an assortment of strong smelling herbs in his large hands. He removed a small, wooden bowl and placed the herbs inside of it, and began to grind them down into a powder with a well shaped stone that he had found on the dense jungle floor. It took him several minutes before it was fine enough to be used for a paste. Mixing some fresh water, which was stored in flasks they had brought along for drinking, the paste was green, and did*’t smell very pleasant. His hunter carefully applied it over the large cut, which ran vertically down his forearm. After the paste was applied, they tightly wrapped it with strips of cloth.

“Well men, we ain’t fishing anymore until those boyos return with the message from the shamaness, so I want you to go off in pairs and look for fruit and small game, I want two of us to wait here, for their return, though.” His men insisted that he rest, as a small cut could easily become infected with the countless diseases which lurked in the jungles of Karamja, for the weather was perfect breeding grounds for such bacteria.
