Men were already quite drunk and the longhouse was almost filled to the brim, making it quite difficult to move around without being thrust into other people, but the Fremennik could careless if someone brushed into them, for they too realized it was quite difficult to move about freely. Anastasia kept a firm grip on Azura’s hand, Zaf* would probably beat her into a pulp if anything happened to his niece while she was in her care. “Stay with me, these men are.. not thinking straight.” She told the young Azura. The Fremennik men starred at the Al Khairdian girl as if she was a piece of meat, but Azura found the stares to be something like compliments, they wouldn’t eye her unless she was beautiful, right?

Aiden and Caden found the staked pigs, which were slowly roasting on the small fires to be almost irresistible, but they knew they needed to speak with the Chief before ravaging his longhouse of its food supply. Brundt the Chieftain was a fierce warrior in his prime, the rumors claim he has slain a total of ten thousand men, which earned him his bloody throne. Whereas that number may have been exaggerated, it’s no lie that he has smitten every man who opposed his rule of Fremennik tribes.

The mighty Chief had his table set up towards the end of the hall, many of his most elite and loyal warriors posted around him, keeping their eyes out for any possible threat, more than one had tried knifing the chief in the hall. “Hold on there, outlanders!” one of his guards roared, stepping in front of them with his sword in hand. “You don’t get to go any further.” His powerful voice informed them, his eyes seemed to say *Try something”.

Lowe decided he could outsmart this brute and talk him into letting them speak with the chief, but his plan never got a chance to take flight as Aiden and Caden pushed forward through the crowd, plates flowing with food in their big hands, the guard instantly recognized the two. "Bajorne, Magne!” he shouted out, quickly hugging both of them “These outlanders with you?” he questioned, arching his eyebrow.

“Yeah.” Aiden began.

“These are our buddies. We’re planning a trip to the Lunar Isles, need a rite of passage from Brundt.” The guard immediately nodded and allowed them to pass. The Chief sat quietly at his table, he was missing an eye from one battle which he often referred to as “The best and worst battle of my youth.”

Lowe pulled up a chair and sat before Brundt, he was quietly looking over charts, maps, and other documents. “Hello, Chieftain Brundt.” Lowe said firmly, grabbing his attention.

“Hello, Bajorn, Magne, how is life?” he said, completely ignoring Lowe.

“Just fine, pillaging, raids” Caden began.

“Cunning and ferocity, have gotten us very far!” the Chieftains face turned to a big smile.

“I’ll drink to that!” he shouted, before taking a big gulp from his even larger mug of ale. “So what brings you back to Rellekka?” he asked, he could read people like a book, it’s one of the things which made him so successful, and he knew they wanted something.

“We were hoping you could give us six rites of passage to the Moonclan’s island.” Aiden asked, as politely as he could.

“What business do you have there?” he asked once more, as he looked at the small island on his map.

“Adventure, what else?” Caden exclaimed. The Chieftain began writing out all six rites of passage. He took a very thin, and small piece of wood, and wrote onto it “I, Chieftain Brundt hereby gives the rite of passage to the Lunar Islands to XXX”, Aiden and Caden gave him the names of all their companions as he filled in the blanks. The Chief shuffled through some of his papers before handing over the seals of passage “You know, Peer has predicated a massive storm, which he claims will drag on for a week.”

“We’ll be fine!” the two said simultaneously “We’re Fremennik, we’re practically unstoppable, right?” the old chief couldn’t help but to find their arrogance to be admirable, but he sincerely hoped they wouldn’t meet their end on the seas.
