Still shocked were Truand and Dief “What’re the odds the only man willing to fight me, would be her brother?”
“I guess about the same as a blind fighting expert?” Truand grinned.
“If you lose your vision, you’ll very quickly learn to live without it, or you’ll be a worthless vegetable for the rest of your life. I took the first option. Dief, make yourself useful, find me some red wine.”
“Yes sir...” Dief sighed and went to search for his 'masters’ favorite drink. This just wasn’t fair he thought. A blind man had won the beautiful girl, was in charge of the strongest gang in Varrock, he was rich, a world class warrior... The list went on endlessly... and he was blind! Dief thought hard, just what in the world was he doing wrong? He had two perfectly good eyes, and had achieved much less than his blind leader.
“So...” Johnny coughed “just what’s going on anyway? What’re you trying to do?”
“Why would I tell you?” Elder laughed.
“Would it hurt to tell him?” she asked and batted her eyelashes. He grunted.
“I won’t explain it here, perhaps during dinner...”
“Okay, but only if the girl in the pretty robes can come too.” he pointed to Azura, who by now was a nervous wreck.
“No.* was his stern reply.
“Then I’m not going to dine with you.”
“Please...?” she begged, and put her arms around him.
“You’re killing me, woman.” he began to think if it’d actually be much of a problem to do this for her.
“I heard men discussing something out here, what is going on?” Ko asked, he had been spending his time reading up on various subjects.
“Ko?” Azura shouted softly.
“Azura?” he gasped.
“Oh for gods sake!” Elder snatched his red wine from Dief, and downed the entire glass in one go.
“Well we cannot leave her tied up like an animal, she... was a friend of mine.” Ko wasn’t exactly sympathetic, but he knew Azura was simply a harmless young woman who wasn’t a threat at all, and she was pretty to look at. He saw no reason why he shouldn’t bring her inside the Palace.
