The brothers, and Moric had left the barbarian nobility to hold off what remained of the zombies, as they and a handful of soldiers made their way to the Palace to assist. They were just reaching the roof as they witnessed the ominous being unleashing his might for some odd reason.

“What the hell is he doing?” Moric asked the two, who merely replied with a shrug.

Karamthulhu looked around, and lifted Anjel into the air with magical force “ Your followers, may flee but I have plans for you.” he tossed the battered man to the ground, and his soldiers sprinted away as they fled in horror. His voice was very collected, and calculating. The Divine Ones were gone in a matter of seconds, shoving and pushing around the massive brothers. He strolled forward from his Altar, and looked across the faces of several of the people that challenged his followers. But he felt it to be unjust for a god to smite mortals unless the situation was very specific.

“Savages return to your home,” he waved his hand at the few living barbarians, who quickly ran down the stairs to safety “Knights lay down your arms and bow.” for fear of being smitten, they all obeyed without question. “My loyal followers, your reward is at hand.” he waved his hand, and the slain corpses raised to their feet, but were instantly warped away into a vortex of black energy. Their removed pieces reconnected, and they were no longer dead. Not even undead, life had been re-gifted to them.

The brothers and Moric were dragged to their friends by a force of magic. Elder and Ko stood, Roxanne put her arms around Elder’s.

“Do you have unfinished business?” He stepped aside, and allowed his three followers to speak with the seven odd adventurers, who had been the main threat to the ritual, and also driven for completely different reasons than the others.

“Anastasia, I want you to know you made this all much easier,” Ko said in an arrogant tone “I replaced the summoning familiar you were supposed to obtain, with the Overlord, with you summoning my most prized ally, I was able to focus on other matters. Meanwhile he collected the precious gem we needed for this ritual, and managed to learn about the castle of Varrock from the inside out, while traveling with you. ” Lowe held Anastasia’s hand, if they were reduced to ash, he couldn’t think of a better way for that to happen. Ko continued, sounding ever so smug “I did love you, but as you said, times have changed.”

“You mean nothing to me, you are just another person.” was her oddly cold and offensive reply. Ko wasn’t sure what to say, he was shocked really. The others giggled slightly.


“Is that all?” Karamthulhu waved his hands towards Johnny and Roxanne*Siblings, do you have anything left to discuss?* his sudden question pulled on Johnny’s heart string, he felt an overwhelming sadness.

“I love you.” was all he could manage to mutter, as he fought back tears.

“I love you too, and this isn’t good bye,” she tried to sound genuine “It’s just, see you later. And I will see you later.” he nodded slowly. Azura rubbed his back in a comforting way.

“You are all just as corrupt as any of those who attempted to prevent my rebirth,” his powerful voice echoed “But you came here with true and just intentions, you are spared.” he forced Anjel to his knees by magic. “Tuflos, end your feud, and let us start anew.”

“He don’t got eyes...” Caden whispered to his brother, they stared on in confusion.

“I’ll make it quick, an honor you should be thankful for.” Tuflos sounded all too happy to be doing what he was. He simply began twisting his most hated enemies neck until it let out a sickening snap. Johnny cringed, and thought it to be odd none of Azura’s friends seemed even remotely concerned about the man who had just been brutally murdered before them.

“You okay?” Aiden asked Azura quietly, she replied with a nod.

Karamthulhu snapped his fingers, and the three disappeared into a cloud of smoke, and were teleported to a far off land.

“Farewell.” He said in an oddly happy way. A loud roar like popping thunder was combined with an aggressive explosion of black mist, and he was gone.
“Whoa!” Moric exclaimed, “That was amazing! We saw a god in person, I me- Lowe what are you... that’s..” he stumbled away to vomit. Lowe just couldn’t help but to notice what lovely teeth Anjel had, and began taking them to make a necklace.

“You hang out with these people?” Johnny asked in a genuinely concerned manner.

“You’ll get used to them.” he heard a menacing giggle as Aiden and Caden each placed on of their massive paws on the boy’s shoulders.

Tuflos’ eyes had been restored by his migthy reborn god, and he looked with tears skating down his cheeks as he stood on the coast of a peninsula. Roxanne grabbed his hand, and Ko smiled at him. They looked at their massive, resource rich new home. There was already fifteen thousand Cultists from all over who had been brought to the forgotten lands of Karamthulhu, and here they could begin to rebuild his empire.

“What color are my eyes?” Tuflos asked as he struggled with eyesight, he considered just wearing a blindfold. He had been used to being blind for so long now.

*Black.” She told him, as she leaned up to kiss him.

One week later...

“Rellekka was a wreck,” Aiden sighed as he sat down at Anastasia’s dining table.

“Yup, but hey it’s still standing, the Lunar Clan even showed up to help.” Caden said with a shrug. Forrest nodded, his old lady friend Dalla sat next to him.

“We finally decided to tie the knot, we ain’t gettin’ any younger...”

“And after that little shock, well. We felt compelled to spend what time was left together.”

“Fantastic!” the brothers roared together, they loved weddings. Wedding cake was delicious.

“I checked on those barbarians, they’ve been granted large sums of money by Varrock for their assistance.” Azura said with a smile, she and Johnny sat close together on Anastasia’s couch.

“They earned it, I tell you what.” Moric sat adjacent to Azura and Johnny.

“Definitely!” Johnny said with a smile.

“Lowe! Anastasia! What’s taking you two so long!?” Caden shouted abruptly.

“Yeah!” His brother added in.

They broke apart from their kiss, and smiled at one another as they brought the drinks from the kitchen to the living area.

“All right, here’s the big news... we’re officially heroes,” Lowe said drinking from his shot glass of rum. He held up a newspaper which showed an image, it depicted architects carefully carving life sized statues of them atop the roof where the battle had been fought “And I’ve sold that goddamn shop, I’m a hunter now.” he smiled, and the two sat down on the couch. A loud roar of laughter erupted.

“The King and Queen were very lucky,” Anastasia said loudly “They were vacationing in Karamja, tribe called Tai Bwo Wannai rescue them from undead.”

“Well it looks like a happy ending.” Moric grinned. They smiled, and awkwardly shifted about and sipped from their drinks for a few moments.

“So what the hell,”

“Are we gonna do now?* The brothers asked.

“I say it’s about time for an adventure, don’t ya’ll?” Forrest smiled.

“That sounds wonderful.” Dalla added.

Johnny’s eyes lit up, Azura had told him all about the exciting trips they had gone on “Yeah! Hell yeah!” he said excitedly.

“I can’t wait, but to where?” Azura looked perplexed.

“An adventure? Hah, I haven’t heard that in a while, why not though?” Moric stood up, and unrolled a map on the dining table “What about The Wilderness?”

Everyone stood and hovered over the map, “I don’t know, how about some where close to the sea, some where like...” Lowe smiled, Anastasia dropped a smaller map atop Moric’s.

“This peninsula is unexplored.” she said, pointing her finger at the spit of land on the map.

“Let’s do it.” Lowe said with a grin, the others quickly agreed, and they swiftly ran around the apartment to gather up everything they would need for a long adventure.

“This will be fun.” Anastasia grinned, as she examined the Karamthulhu eyeball on the map very carefully, she had found the chart on her nightstand early one morning, and found it to be sticky and slimy... just like her favorite pet.

Finished. I'm not exactly sure what to make of it tbh......some parts came off as really sad (like when the Overlord left during the end), but other parts just made me go wtf (the brothers eating dead people....seriously, didn't expect that one coming O_o )

It was pretty good overall, but I get the feeling that there should be a sequel or spin off or something with some of the characters in this. At least something going further into Azura's inner magic thing would be pretty interesting :D

Well hey, looks like I captured a wide range of emotions then! :D

A follow up? Hmm, you know I didn't actually think about that at all while writing this one, that's definitely a possibility, though.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed... and thanks for the feedback. ^_^

Anyway, that was a pretty great ending ^_^ Normally, you would expect a winning side and a losing side, but with your Ogre-like skills, you managed to surprise us :) Well done!
