“Thank you Sir.” She stood and began to leave.

“Oh, and do try to be on time tomorrow?” she turned around, vodka in hand.

“If the work is done by end of the day, what does it matter what time I show up?” she asked while taking a swig.

“I suppose we really are just from different generations. I still expect you here on time.” She left without another word. It was just a brisk walk to get to her apartment from the Summoning shop that he ran. She noticed as the sun dropped the streets became vacant, without a person in sight. Normally by this time in Varrock you can notice a host of thugs, thieves and other unpleasant people crawling out from the rocks they live under. Speaking of thugs and people who live under rocks, she spotted Aiden and Caden jogging wearily up to her.

“H-hey.” Caden said between pants.

*We’re just… just in time right?” Aiden looked a little pale in the face.

“More or less, I haven’t gotten chance to cook yet though. Is that blood on your shirt?”

“Yeah I punched some guy in the face. Anyway, me and Caden like cooking, we’ll handle it… think of it as a house warming gift.” She smiled and the three continued on towards the building. A druid looked at the two, rather huge and unfamiliar men and looked at them in curiosity as to who they were.

“I oughta punch you in the face!” Caden suddenly lashed out at the unsuspecting druid.

“W-what, why?” he stepped back and pushed a pair of glasses into place.

“Starrin’ at me like I’m some kind of freak.”

“Yeah.” Aiden punched his fists together angrily. A cold splash of vodka got their attention.

“You can’t just assault people on street, is illegal.”

“Thank you ma'am… would you two… brutes please listen to the lady?” he straightened his back.

“Besides, there are people watching. Get him while he’s alone.” She suggested, and the three continued. Aiden pointed at the man as he walked away, then removed his dagger from his belt and moved it across his neck. The druid quickly got the message, and fled the scene as many confused by standers wondered what the hell had just happened.

“You two should use Forrest as an example. He Is much better at controlling his anger than you two.”

“Blah.” Was their simultaneous response.

“Besides there’s a difference.” Aiden started.

“Yeah, Forrest was an awesome beast of a man who would fade out of reality for a while… and fade back in with blood in his teeth. Not his blood, of course.”

“And we just pretend to be angry so we have an excuse to break stuff.”

“And people.” The two giggled like unintelligent gorillas, while pushing each other. Anastasia questioned their mental capacity sometimes. She unlocked the apartment door and the two tossed their vodka stained shirts into a pile on the floor inside the kitchen, and quickly went to work preparing dinner. Anastasia wasn’t aware of this, and after putting up her bag and sword she returned to find the two dancing about the kitchen, tossing ingredients to and fro, already mixing chopping and dicing.

“I feel like I’m living some house wife’s fantasy.” She said dryly, leaning on the wall. A knock on the door signaled the arrival of Ko and Azura, and as expected neither Lowe or Forrest were anywhere to be found.

“Wow, am I dreaming, they cook?” Azura said with amazement.

“If there is two things we’re good at, one is cooking!” Caden exclaimed while using his massive fists to tenderize a slab of meat.”

“And the other?” Ko crossed his arms and waited for a response with a smirk.

“Fighting!” Caden smashed his fist into the meat again.

“So Ana… how was the first day of lessons?” Ko questioned. Soon the night was there and gone. The brothers’ meal was surprisingly delightful, with a variety of textures and spices to make for a truly memorable meal. The two large ox men fell asleep on the couch, comically slouched over on each other, each head propping the other up. Azura’s hyper body finally descended into something of a coma as her nights of only an hour or two of sleep caught up with her. It wasn’t a good cycle. She would go several days with only about six hours of sleep between them all, and then over sleep, and do it all again.

That left a not-quite-done-drinking-yet Anastasia and Ko. “I’d be more than willing to help you during the day time with your lessons. After all, my job is at night and so I spend the day simply killing time. And traveling with you to collect all the items would be a great way for me to travel and explore these lands more thoroughly. All while helping a good friend.”

“If you insist, I guess you can sleep here if you want.”

“Like I said, my job is during the night. I actually need to get to work in a few minutes.”

“Who are you working with, again?”

“Dief, Lowe’s friend.” Anastasia did*’t like the sound of that at all, but figured it wasn’t any of her business.

“Well if that is the case, I need sleep, so it was fun drinking with you.” She hugged him “And I hope to do it again soon.”

“Of course.” He smiled slyly. And waved goodbye, before teleporting back to Varrock.

As he landed, he checked his waist, yup still there he thought. He removed his knife and inspected it while strolling at a brisk pace down the dangerous streets of Varrock. His knife wasn’t huge like Aiden and Caden’s, their knives were more like daggers really, and were nearing a foot long. His was half that, at six inches. Ko believed knife fighting was more about smooth and agile movements, and against most enemies, you did*’t even need a huge blade to deal with them.

A man stepped out before Ko and held an axe handle in his hand “You ain’t takin’ a ‘nother step if ya don’t empty ya pockets.” Ko crossed his arms and smirked. The man grabbed him by the shirt “What ya ‘fink is so damn funny!?” he demanded, but never got an answer as Dief leapt and punched the man across the jaw, knocking him out cold.

“I got ya back, I got ya back! So you ready to meet the “Elder”? What a lame nick-name huh? Anyway… he’s an important fella to get good with if you plan on making it far in The Vial.”

“I have a feeling things will go well.” Ko said calmly as they strolled deeper into the slums. The Vial was the most powerful gang you’ve never heard of in Varrock. They did a good job of controlling the majority of drug importing, exporting, and dealing around the city. They totaled only four hundred, but made up for it with brilliant leaders and remarkable loyalty, courage, and brutality. Or perhaps it was just an advanced form of greed. Dief wore their mark on his back and chest while walking at night, as it kept most thugs and thieves from trying to mess with him, since there would be a good chance of being murdered for harming one of The Vial.

The mark was easy to recognize, it was a large eye with what appeared to be two tentacle like appendages curling around it. Dief walked over to a house that appeared to be ready to crumble at any given minute. He used a key to unlock it, and made sure no one was watching while doing so. He lit the path with a torch and they stopped at a trap door. He knocked on it three times, paused, and knocked twice more. The trapdoor flung open, and a ladder was raised up for them. They shut the trapdoor behind them and quickly scrambled to the ground. There was about a ten foot drop to the ground, and the man watching over the trap door was a very interesting sight.

He wore a facemask, but his hair was plainly visible, and it was a multi colored Mohawk. In his hand was a mace. “Dief man, how’s it going?”

He spoke very well, taking Ko off guard somewhat.

“Not bad brotha, not bad. Hey we’re here to see Elder, get Ko here officalized and all that.”

“You know where he is. Good luck, Ko.” He said shaking his hand.

“Aight Ko this might get messy.” He explained as they walked through the ankle high water that covered the floor. They appeared to be in a section of the sewer, but there was no bad smell, and the entire place was well lit with torches. There was large amounts of doors carved into the walls, laughter and talking could be heard from many of them, snoring from others. This was The Vial’s safe house, where they stored their drugs weapons and enough food and water to stay hidden down there for months, and with several entrances and exits leading to the surface, it would be nearly impossible for a cave in to be completely disastrous. They passed guards who patrolled the entire area, some had crazy hair like the first, some appeared to be very well trained and dressed fencers. Ko thought it was astounding the types of people involved with this gig.

“Ya see brotha, he ain’t just gone let you in here no questions asked. I had to stab a guy to death and have three of our dudes watchin’ to confirm it. Before that I had to run drugs all ova the place man. So get ready for some hell.” Ko nodded, but seemed oddly unphased by the whole situation.

“And this is his office, I assume?” Ko said as they stood before a large imposing stone wall, with a windowless steel door leading to his room. The entire wall was painted as a raging sea, and the iconic eyeball was on the door. Dief nervously opened the door he did*’t like to admit it, but Elder terrified him, he was almost certain he wasn’t even a human, rather some kind of demon or wraith. Both entered, but a harsh, snake like voice echoed from the darkness.

“Await beyond my door, Dief.” Elder commanded.

“Y-yes s-sir!” Dief slammed the door shut by accident, and his heart nearly exploded.

“Ko, care for a drink?” the snake like man was mostly hidden by the shadows, only a single candle lit the large room, but Elder did*’t require light like other men. He stood before the candle and leaned over it to pour wine into a fine glass that was preplaced for Ko’s arrival. He wore a hooded jacket which was completely black. He also wore a pair of armbands that featured The Vial’s trademark symbol. The hood was pulled so it covered his eyes. His skin looked more like scales, and his canine teeth seemed enlarged as he smiled while pouring the drink.

He sat in his chair and stirred his wine with a finger, Ko also took note that his fingernails appeared to be grown out. “You have changed a great deal.” Ko finally said through the overwhelming silence.

“As have you, but it is good we are finally in the same room again.” Ko sipped from his glass, the wine was very good. He thought briefly of Anastasia, he wasn’t sure if she liked wine or not.

"So what’s the plan?” Ko asked. His colleague sat his glass down and put his leathery looking hands together, and his face faded out into the darkness as he reclined, only his large white teeth were visible in a crooked smile.

So a Katana huh? I bet that things fun. I personally keep a small array of weapons near my desk. namely a crowbar and a few machetes. Maybe I'm paranoid, but god forbid some unluck fool climbs through my window! :P

Anyway fellas, enjoy the update.

I keep my machetes sharpened, but I doubt they're as sharp as a katana. That and they get dulled down after bush whacking the yard, I normally sharpen them afterwards but not always. In any case If I did need to use one for fighting, I'd probably grab the crowbar instead, it doesn't need to be sharp to do damage. :P

Well after reading Creepter's stories, I return to your thread to keep up with your updates :3

Hmm...who is this scaly guy anyway? I have yet to encounter any species of Gielinor with such a description other than Mogres, except they are kinda fat....
