Ko and Azura stood in odd silence for several minutes. She had partially forgotten him as she tried to listen to an odd noise in the far distance, like shouting. He tried to figure out how to word everything properly, and once he was sure, began to speak.

“I am not what I said I am,” he began, meaningfully taking a few steps towards her “I do believe I fabricated my ‘history’ after a certain point.”

“Really? Well I remember you talking about the classes of people, and how you never had fun be-*

*I think everything past explaining the classes of society in my lands are lies.*

*What..?” she seemed confused, and at the same time adorable. He smirked at the idea of keeping her around as a mistress, or just a servant.

“I also forgot to mention a class of people, the one I was part of. We called ourselves whatever we wanted, and lacked an official name. I personally was head over everything, a King or Emperor or whatever title you like,” her eyes seemed to swell “And I ruled my lands with an ironfist.” he snickered. “Most importantly, we had strict laws regarding worship, and no god was to be served except for the ancient Karamthulhu.” the weird name seemed to slither off his tongue.

“Who’s that?” she asked, batting her eyelashes.” Ko was again amused by her ignorance. He carefully explained the details of the god Karamthulhu to her, taking her from confused, to horrorified. “So you’re just a cult leader!? You let all those people get their... heads removed just cause you think it’ll make your 'god’ happy?!* she was fuming with rage, this was simply the most stupid reason to conquer a castle and kill people she had eve heard. He raised his hand to strike her, but managed to catch himself mid swing, she was suddenly very quiet. He cleared his throat and fixed the collar of his shirt, and resumed speaking.

“There exists extremists in our world. I could be called one, but there are more, the so called “Divine Ones.” are no more than a cult sect of Saradominists who make it their duty to slay lesser races and those who believe differently from them. They had agents planted in my lands, and I worked endlessly to have them removed, for they were eager to bring a dagger to my throat, and spread their filth beliefs,” he spat in disgust “And I ran into a perplexing situation... My lands would have to do without me for several months, since I received a letter from a long time friend, proclaiming that the time was very near for His return.” he paced slowly back and forth, she sat down on the ground and crossed her legs.

“How to leave my lands without attracting attention from those who wish to kill me, and foil my every plan? Naturally they couldn’t pursue a dead man. So I designed a vessel that would sink, and being the fantastic swimmer I am, I would simply make my way to a coast and flag down pirates, and pay them to take me the rest of the way.”

“Why not just teleport?”

“A man dead at sea, and a man disappeared and magical particles are floating around are radically different. Besides, I did*’t urgently need to be in either place,” he yawned, it sure was getting late quickly “But my plan did not work out as I anticipated, my vessel sank as designed, by merely minutes afterwards, the waves betrayed me and began twisting and raging and a full blown storm was upon me,” his voice rose louder with each word, until he smashed his fist into his palm “I fought against them with all my might, with every ounce of strength I possessed, but can you win a battle with the sea? Of course not,” his voice began to lower again “fate would have it a huge storm proof vessel would be passing by, and fate would have it a strong woman with good ears would hear my cries for help, and dive into the waves to help me to safety.”

“Anastasia...” she whispered.

He giggled while holding his chin “What a woman she is, sweet and kind when she wants to be, hard fisted brawling alcoholic at others, she’s hard not to like,” he smiled thinly “fate would only be kinder and kinder still as you and your friends decided to be helpful enough to take me to the Lunar Isles to practice and hone my skills further, and then bring me all the way back to where I needed to be in the first place, Varrock,” he paused for a minute “and your friend Lowe even knew a man who was apart of the sect of 'gang’ which was entirely mine. He proved to be fantastic in delivering my messages and arranging meetings so I could maintain my working man appearance.”

“So your plan worked just like expected?” she stood back up and crossed her arms, it was beginning to get cold up there.

“No, actually. Several Divine Ones attempted to assault me, pursue me, stalk me, and so on.”

“What did you do?” in a quick motion, he removed his knife and had the tip of blade at her throat.

“Something like that.” he said with a smug look on his face. She gulped, and used her thin index finger to push the knife away carefully. He put it back in his sheath.

She wanted to cuss him out and tell him exactly how she felt at that moment, but realized that staying on good terms with him was possibly the only thing between her and the executioner.

“I guess I have to give it you to... you are clever.” she tried to keep his ego healthy. He smiled and seemed to think for a moment.

“I believe I have a room I can offer you, just a servant’* but I think you’ll prefer it to sleeping on the cobblestone?” she simply nodded, and he motioned for her to follow.

Palace Kitchen...

Johnny was left alone with a pair of zombies to watch over him as he finished washing what remained of the dish pile. As he steadily scrubbed and stacked the plates, he never once heard anyone approaching him. A thin hand picked up a large cleaver from behind him.

“Ahhhh!” he shouted in pain and turned to see his attacker. Roxanne had turned the cleaver sideways and used it more like a paddle “What’s wrong with you?!”

“Shhh, people are sleeping, use your indoor voice.” she said waving her finger sarcastically.

He shoved her playfully, but the two guards gripped him by the arms, and one gave him a fist to the stomach, she panicked for a brief second, but then decided words were the best option “Stand down, he’s my toy.” she ordered, the brain dead guards slouched back to the door way.

“Everyone in this castle hates me.” he whined holding his stomach. She bit her finger and pulled back her med length black hair.

“Yeah, I think you’re right for once,” she admitted *I don’t even know if zombies possess complex enough thoughts to hate you, but they still hate you. You should probably just kill yourself.” he smiled for a few minutes, and then began to talk.

“So i’ve never approved of your... profession, but I never talked down to you about it, Roxanne,” he started “but I draw the line at hanging around with cultists and blind lizard men, what the hell?” he demanded an answer. She crossed her arms and looked away from him.

“Well I thought it sounded exciting... and I was right. And you shouldn’t talk bad about Tuflos, he’s really sweet...”

“Tuflos, that’s his real name?” he thought about it for a few moments “And sweet people don’t order their guards to lop off heads for advanced worship.”

“People have always judged me for my looks little brother,” she loved calling him that, it annoyed him “when I met him, he seemed like any old gang lord, but he was a gang lord of an important gang.” she laughed “I thought he was lying when he said I had the most pretty voice he had ever heard. I told him he just liked my short dress, he replied by taking off his hood to show me his empty sockets,” she chuckled “I won’t lie and say I did*’t scream and freak out, but after the initial shock wore off, we grew close quick.”

“I still think you’re crazy, but at least you’ve found someone just as insane as you.” he joked. The siblings spent the rest of the night talking.

Meanwhile...

The sun was beginning to rise and thus work began to quickly assess and repair damage, and burn or bury all corpses left inside the walls. The brothers were sent outside the walls to drag dead bodies into the river, or inside to be dealt with “Mother of God!” Caden shouted as he looked at the war camp on the opposite side of the river. The group of warriors sent to help them turned on their heels and ran to spread the word. Zombies skeletons, squid and what appeared to be gray skinned humans inhabitated the camp.

Several war cries and taunts were tossed at the large brothers, but no arrows or spells were cast, and so they went to work using their strength to drag in the bodies quickly. They soon noticed a bound fire where they were being tossed into.

“Brother, it is good we meet again!” Eckhard hugged the smaller nomadic tribe leader, named Crunge. Though not actual brothers, they called each other that due to their powerful friendship. Crunge was incharge of a relatively large nomadic tribe that wondered constantly in search of new grounds to hunt and rest in, for they did not like city life.

“I am only happy your messenger managed to locate my people! We did not stop running until we made it here, I promise,” Eckhard’massive beard seemed to have what looked like a finger stuck in it “I think you have a.. little..” he carefully removed it, and tossed it into the fire. Eckhard simply grinned.

“Damn these rations.” Moric complained as he munched on the loaf of bread.

“Tell ya w’hut man, just ain’t enough to keep ya running, and now we’s got all these new guys here help’an us...”

“On the bright side, we may be able to overthrow the invasion soon with all these extra soldiers.” Lowe encouraged.

“We just need more bomb.” Anastasia said, taking a swig from her last bottle of vodka, she wasn’t worried though, the barbarians stored plenty of alcohol. She began collecting pots and various odd objects.

“Getting hungry right about now.* people began to complain, the bread just wasn’t enough for most people. Most finished eating what little they had and settled down into the quiet, as they waited for news or more attacks.

“Sir, I have some bad news...” A scout reported to Eckhard, as he quickly explained there was at least three times as many of the Cultists as there were able bodied Barbarians, even with the recent reinforcements. Eckhard realized word was quickly spreading about their grim situation, and figured it wasn’t worth announcing as everyone was already aware. Morale seemed to plummet.

“Do you hear that?” Lowe suddenly asked, a very faint munching noise echoed from outside. No guards were stationed upon the walls, and panic set in that undead may be just outside the damaged and unlocked gate. A loud snap of a bone was easily audible over the little talking, and Lowe and Forrest stood to investigate, quickly followed by their friends. Several guards armed with telescopes climbed upon the palisade to see what was the matter, one man turned around and vomited on his boots.

Lowe ran, arrow drawn, and was greeted with quite the unpleasant sight. Aiden and Caden were slouched over, covered in blood.

“Oh... hey ....” Caden said as he shoved another handful of flesh off a dead warrior into his mouth.

“Want some?” Aiden asked, he used his axe to chop off an arm, and offered it out. All of the accompanying warriors turned and tried to keep their food down, Moric just stood there completely stunned with what he saw.

“Nothing to see.* Anastasia sighed and returned back behind the walls, Forrest just laughed and followed her. Lowe on the other hand, examined the dead man’s mouth first. It was a terrible smell, but he wasn’t really affected, he checked all of the man’s teeth carefully, and then left the brothers to their meal. Moric kept waiting for someone to tell him it was a prank of some kind, but the longer he stood and watched, the more he realized it was not.
*Split it with you?” Caden said, holding dark red heart, his brother grinned and the two grabbed it from both sides, and pulled until it split in two. They greedily ate what they considered one of the best parts of the body you could eat.

“Eyeballs are good for your immune system,” Aiden said to Moric, as he pulled one from the man’s socket “Want one?” Moric gagged, and waved his hand before briskly walking away. He just shrugged and popped it in his mouth as if it were a cherry tomato.

Moric stumbled over to the fire where they were sitting around, visibly disturbed looking. He sat down on a block of wood and just seemed utterly confused and sick to his stomach. “Awright buddy?” Forrest asked, patting his back.

“What do you mean?! They were just eating that guy!”

“They are big, they need lots of food.” Anastasia shrugged.

“C’mon! It’s not natural to just tear into a dead corpse cause you... and you want me to stay behind with them and fight? This is crazy.”

“I wouldn’t think too much about it.” Lowe suggested, sipping from a mug of hot tea.

A loud bugle blast echoed and the sound of mobilizing soldiers was clearly audible. Men rushed to their stations and armed themselves, but then another trumpet blast echoed out from the distance, clearly not belonging to the Cultists.

It sounded out again, much louder the second time.
