Growing closer to the ever boiling spring, Lowe took off his backpack, and tossed it ahead of him, landing near the water. He removed his shirt and rolled it into a ball, and threw it near his pack. Hopping on one foot, he slipped off one shoe, then the other, and then ran and splashed into the steamy waters, that he beloved so. “And now I’m wet, go to hell.” Aiden did*’t plan on getting his clothes damp. Infact, he planned on eating before considering the spring.

“Someone isn’t in a good mood. What’s a matter?” Azura asked, as she sat down on on a blanket.

“Nothing I guess…” He sighed, he had a headache.

“Well cheer the hell up… we got like, two baskets full of food.” Caden unwraped a large beef sandwich and offered it to his brother. They began eating, even though they had breakfast no more than thirty minutes ago. Anastasia liked food, but she wasn’t fond of eating heavy dishes early in the day. It was always funny to her how much food the two could put down; it was like tossing wood into a raging furnace. Rummaging about in their baskets, she managed to locate some assorted vegtabels, and lightly snacked on them.

“Hey fellas, where’s Ko?” Forrest looked around.

“He’s… well damn. I don’t know.” Lowe shrugged. About twenty minutes passed before Azura and Ana entered the pool of water. The brothers were too busy eating to think about soaking. Casual conversation continued, as the two women shared the information they had been taught. Lowe and Forrest began discussing the work they had once they returned home. The brothers mumbled inbetween bites. Speaking in a language only they could understand. Loudly chewing on assorted meats, the noises which came from their mouths could only loosely be called words. But the two continued speaking in this odd language until they had concluded their plan.

Taking a long drink from a flask of water, Aiden’s words finally made sense. “So we’ll leave next week?”

“You bet. Those poor losers won’t ever suspect us.” His brother laughed.

“What’re the plans?” Lowe asked, while reclining in the water.

“A trip the Godwars hole.. dungeon… cave? Whatever. Where all those frozen soldiers were uncovered.”

“I did*’t hear about any of that.” Forrest rubbed his chin.

“Well it’s not widely known for…” Caden stopped speaking and suddenly appeared to be very confused. “I have no idea why it wasn’t made more public that they discovered an entire cavern full of thawed soldiers and endless wealth in the form of ancient priceless equipment.”

“I would not worry about it.” Anastasia said with a shrug. They continued to relax and soak, though nothing interesting happened in the following hours they were there.

“It’s about an hour till noon** Lowe sighed. He relunctantly emerged from the water. “If I plan on getting that damn shop opened at a reasonable time, we should go a head and get all our things together now.*

*Reasonable time, at noon?* Forrest laughed. “That ain’t no reasonable time to start the work day.”

“I know, I know. But having half a day of work is better than no work at all.” Forrest tilted his head slightly, and nodded.

“Yeah. Need to stop choppin’ suqah, start choppin’ trees…” Forrest began to dry himself off with a towel.

“Good timing, we just ran out of food.” The Cannebal Brothers grabbed eachother by the arm at the same time, and then pulled themselves up simultaneously.

“Agh. Back to home so soon?” Ana sighed “I s’pose I need to find apartment in Falador anyway…” Azura remained quiet for once. In deep though of what she was going to do once she returned home again.

The friends made their way back to the town in about twenty minutes; morning grogginess did*’t slow them down this time around. They found Ko waiting patiently.

“I spent my last few hours with the old spell casting woman. I wanted to assure I could learn as much as possible while I was here.” He explained quickly, prompting no further questions from the group.

“Well get your crap packed. We’re teleporting in a couple of minutes.” Caden instructed Ko.

“Already done.” He said with a smirk, pointing to his small pack, containing his very few possessions.

“Well ” Caden started.

“Just keep being patient.” Aiden finished for him. He nodded, and leaned against the summong obelisk as his new friends walked past him. He starred out into the ocean with longing eyes.

Aiden and Caden stumbled into their room, and realized they had managed to destroy it. Scratching their heads, they decided the only logical course of action, was to throw everything that belonged to them, in a large sack, then sort it out later. And that’* exactly what they did. Everyone else was much more organized, it took no more than fifteen minutes to gather up all their things and head outside. No one had met anyone worth saying goodbye, save for Azura, Ko, and Anastasai. Though they were lucky to pass them on the way out.

“Leaving so soon?” Baba Yaga asked with a smile.

“Yes, you’ve only been here for three days.”

“Oh well, I did teach Azura the communication spell. We hope to hear from you soon!” the two hovered away without allowing a response.

“That was sort of weird.” Caden said scratching his head.

“They… not exactly normal. No one on this island is.” Anastasia said with a whisper.

“Is everyone ready” Ko asked the group, while walking up to them. Lowe sighed and took a look around.

“I guess so. Azura… let’s see some magic.” She smiled and outstretched her arms. The locals thought a cult had gathered for a barbaric ritual, but we thoroughly surprised when they teleported away. No explosions, no thunderous booms. Just a normal teleport. Their feet connected with the ground.

“That was… interesting.” Ko commented. “So this is Varrock?”

"Yep, this is it." Lowe sighed.

"Glorious, huh?" Caden punched him on the shoulder.

"It's awkward compared to my old home. I don't see any starving people in the streets... or guards beating random people in the streets." He looked around and carefully observed everything. It seemed like a busy city, filled with a large amount of working folk, homeless people, and strong noblemen and women. Adventurers discussed their latest kills and discoveries to one another while passing by, and goods were being sold every where.

He even noticed several people having friendly conversations with the guards, and perhaps most pleasing was a pair of guards helping a man up, who had tripped while delivering some boxes in a hurry. He sighed with relief, he didn't have to peak over his shoulder constantly here, or he didn't feel like he did. Things were looking good.

"C'mon, I'll show you your room." Lowe said motioning for him to follow.

"Where would that be?" Ko questioned.

"My store has some bedrooms on the second story, you can sleep there. I'll give you some work too, if you'd like. Rent's free, I don't charge friends for favours." Lowe gave him a friendly smile

"Sounds good. I'll repay you someday." He promised.

"I wouldn't worry about that too much." he patted ** on the back. "I'll see you guys later!"

"Yeah alright man, take it easy." Caden and Aiden said at the same time. Forrest nodded and began walking away.

"Byeeee Lowe! Bye Ko!" Azura, skipping across Varrock Square to her uncle's shop.

"Take it easy boys, I might stop by later." Anastasia called to them, as the group split apart. Back to their mundane tasks.

“Listen up… this may seem better than your old home, but don’t buy into it. These people are ass holes looking for a quick buck. Or, some of them are… anyway, just watch your wallet and don’t trust anyone about anything. And don’t wonder in the alley ways and crap unless you have some friends, or are looking for a fight.” Lowe said quickly as they shoved through the thickening crowd. Ko took the information in silence. “Other wise, this isn’t a half bad place to live. The guards do their jobs well enough so that goblin hordes and what not aren’t a problem we worry about. Food is every where, even if you’re poor. And you can always find a job some where… even if it’s not legal…” Lowe crouched down and grabbed his hidden key from the plant pot.

“Home sweet home…” he sighed. Click the door was open.

“Lowe! Lowe bro!” a young man ran up and patted him on the back. “Damn man, can’t you tell your friends ‘bye’? I thought you got killed or something.”

“Can’t you read the sign?” he pointed to the door of his shop, which had a message reading “Away on vacation.”

“That thing wasn’t’ there bro. I swear it wasn’t there.”

“You’re just illiterate.”

“Ah up yours man! Grow up on the streets, see what it does for your reading ability. Damn…. Say man, what’s your name? I haven’t seen you before.” He hugged Ko while shaking his hand at the same time. “I’m Dief, by the way.”

“I am Ko, Dief, and nice to meet you.” Ko thought the man seemed interesting, if not a little shifty, and maybe even untrustworthy.

“So what, you a friend of this knuckle head from some far away place or something?”

“It’s a long, confusing story that involves squids.” Lowe sighed "We could discuss it over dinner."
