Sans: It's just not fair. We're the better franchise. Why do these cheapskates get to have the good luck?

Asriel: It wasn't luck. They are skilled, but most of them don't even come from RuneScape.

Chara: It's always the same people. From Touhou. We can't beat them. They're always better than us.

Asriel: I know how you feel. There's nothing we can do about it. As long as we have a fanbase, we still win overall. RuneScape may have the better team but we have the better computer game.

Sans: That's debateable, but I think most people would agree with you.

Rick and Morty are about to give up. It has been 4 months, and they've found basically nothing.

Morty: Maybe it's a nothing burger. Maybe there's no real problem. Some universes just randomly disappear.

Rick: But it looked really suspicious at first. Or we're just paranoid.

Suddenly, the machine beeped. An anomaly was detected.

Morty: Universe #26,789 is abnormal. Cannot exchange signals.

Rick: Finally. Looks like there is something after all...

Their spaceship fleet enter this universe.

Instead of seeing nothing, they come across what appears to be a living universe, or so it seems...

Rick: It's completely abnormal. The laws of physics have broken down into chaos. Notice how the stars are in strange shapes. They're supposed to be spheres, but here they are blobs.

Morty: Most planets have disintegrated or are disintegrating. Nothing looks right.

Rick: Scanning for life... Aha!

The spaceship fleet enters a wormhole which leads to a planet with life. Some drones are sent out to scout the planet before they actually make a landing. The drones conclude that the planet is safe.

Rick and Morty step out of the ship without any astronaut suits since this planet has breathable air. There is an eerie silence. The planet appears to have an advanced civilization, since there are buildings and flying cars. Rick and Morty roam the streets on flying motorcycles of what they believe to be the capital city.

Rick: Drones have detected traces of life throughout this planet.

*Beep**Beep*

Rick: One human life in that skyscraper over there. Let's go!

The front door is locked. Rick presses the button on the intercom. After a few minutes of static, a voice finally emerges.

"Hello?"

Rick: Hello, this is Rick and Morty. We're researching universes. It looks like your universe is decaying. Please let us in.

"Uhh...what?"

Morty: Look, it's hard to explain. Can you trust us? We have ID.

"..."

Rick: Do you know who we are? Have you heard of the Multi-Universal Sports League?

"..."

Morty: Forget it. This universe is alien to us. I doubt they even watch our sports...

Rick: He or she or whatever it is obviously speaks English! So they must be related to us, right?!?!

Morty: Your universe is in trouble. We came to help!

Just before they were about to leave, the front door opened. They went in with robot bodyguards.

Rick: The human is at the top.

They took an elevator to the top floor.

It is the 500th floor, which is at 1000 metres above the ground. The whole floor is surrounded by glass windows to show the view of the city. It is very luxurious; exactly what one would expect to see in a luxury hotel.

Rick: Just on that chair...ready?

Morty: OK.

They slowly approach a chair behind a table that is facing away from them, and facing the view.

Rick: We come in peace.

"Thank you for coming."

A woman with long black hair and a red dress turns the chair around to face them.

Rick: Name?

Princess: I don't remember anymore. I was the princess of this world.

Rick: Drones indicate that you are the last living human on this planet. Can you remember what happened here? We need your story. Morty, go outside and help scan this planet.

Princess: I just remember everything was "normal", well, relatively yeah. Then about a year ago, things started to fall apart...

Rick: What fell apart?

He noticed that she was intimidated by the robot bodyguards, so he ushered them away.

Princess: Things. In general. Really hard to explain. You can see for yourself.

Rick: The sun is supposed to be a yellow sphere. Instead, it is a deformed purple blob. The stars are dimming and disappearing. This planet is losing its atmosphere.

Princess: We had a civilization. Then people started to die out. People turned into monsters. We couldn't find a cure. We had no idea.

Rick: Why didn't you reach for help?

Princess: We couldn't. We thought we were alone in the universe...

Rick: Multiverse. There are multiple universes. We came from another universe.

Princess: It was the end of the world. My friends, my family...I'm the only one left.

She starts to cry.

Rick: Is there anything at all you were able to find before-

She keeps crying, and is unable to continue the discussion.

Morty sends drones all over the planet to take samples. The water is no longer water. It has turned into gelatin.

Most of the trees have transformed into strange and scary things. A few strange fish were seen walking on land. Morty came across a pile of human remains in a back alley. Most of these remains have turned to dust but he could still find traces of human DNA. There were military equipment left behind everywhere, which shows signs of a struggle.

The human DNA traces made no sense when he analyzed them. All of the genetic information was out of order.

Morty: It's chaos. That is what destroyed this world. I got it!

Rick: It's going to be OK. You can be saved. Please come with me.

The princess does not respond.

Rick: Look, your loved ones would not have wanted you to die here. You need to live on for their sakes, and spread the word of what happened here. You can save existence, you can become a hero!

She still does not respond.

Rick: I mean, erm…sorry. I mean, you should live on to help us. Maybe we can bring back your world too.

She slowly wipes off her tears and nods her head. Rick takes her into the spaceship. He analyzes a sample of her blood. Her DNA does not match human DNA. The genes are out of order.

Rick: You've been affected as well. I can try injecting human blood into you-

He notices that his human blood samples have been contaminated.

Princess: Well?

Rick sighs.

Rick: You can't be saved. I don't know how you would be saved. I've never seen this before.

Princess: So you lied.

Rick: I didn't lie! I swear!

Princess: You said I could be saved!

Rick: I'm sorry. I should've known better-

She leaves the spaceship.

Rick: Well, I guess I'll just call Morty back and we'll just leave her...? No time to waste, we got the information we need! The issue is chaos. Somehow the universes are being dissolved into chaos and nothingness.

He calls back all of the drones and Morty. After a few minutes, a chill runs down his spine. No one returns.

Rick: MORTY?!?!?!?! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!

Silence.

He tries to call him on his cellphone. It doesn't work.

Rick: No time to waste. I'll resurrect you later. But now, I have to go!

He tries to start up his spaceship. It doesn't work. The engine literally sputters.

Rick: The barrier should've protected it from getting infected by whatever is in the universes...

He checks the engine and notices that it is disintegrating. He orders the robot bodyguards to make repairs. After a few tense moments, the engine finally starts up again.

Rick: Thank God. Set course back to the universe where we came from!

Just before he could press the button to open the wormhole, he fell down onto the floor completely unconscious. The chaos has gotten to him. In a sense, he has been infected and he didn't even realize it. The robot bodyguards tried to wake him up, but they couldn't. The backup plan is to relay the information to the Multi-Universal Sports League if no one can make it out alive. The robots try to send the message out, but find that they cannot open a wormhole at all.

Morty has also passed out. He sleeps on the streets, with all of his data in hand. The drones have all fallen apart. Within an hour, the whole spaceship and all remaining robots and drones shut down. The spaceship silently orbits what's left of the planet.

The entire universe then begins to shut down. Stars and planets completely disappear. The princess leaves through a portal with an evil smile, just before Rick and Morty, along with everything in this universe, are deleted.

In RuneScape, Guthix anxiously gazes at the stars.

Guthix: There's something seriously wrong going on.

Wise Old Man: The Cup?

Guthix: No. Something far worse. Something that is bigger than any of us could possibly ever imagine...
