The playoffs officially ended on June 24, 2017 when Game 4 ended.

Touhou is the 2017 Multiverse Cup Champion!

Touhou wins 16 games straight, 16-0, and does not allow a single point against for all 16 games; 16 straight shutouts. They maxed out the score on all 16 games, which is a perfect performance.

All team members, including the emergency call-ups and staff, will receive Cup rings and have their names etched on the Cup.

What seems like just a moment is a memory that will last thoroughout eternity. As Touhou fans rejoice, Undertale fans leave the arena in bitter disappointment and fury. As many congratulate this great Touhou team, others choose to boo and hate them in sheer jealousy. As always, they've made their choice.

Aside from a few skirmishes, Undertale fans did not riot.

Sans: I thought we tried our best. They are a good team. Just gotta give credit where credit is due.

Asriel Dragneel: I had fun. We'll be back next year.

As Touhou returns home to celebrate, Undertale mourns its loss.

But none of them are aware, that meanwhile, a distant universe has gone completely dark.
A mysterious threat far greater than anyone could ever imagine looms on the horizon...

As it would turn out, Saitama does not even get to play a single game with RuneScape. The Wise Old Man advises King Roald to trade him immediately. Saradomin, Guthix, and Zamorak approve this decision.

Wise Old Man: He is good, no doubt, but these are team sports. One good player cannot carry us to the Cup, we need many good players.

Guthix: I agree.

Teams like the SOS Brigade, Team Monkey King, Anime Villains, and even Mortal Kombat made huge offers for Saitama.

However, RuneScape rejected all cash and resource offers right off the bat.

Wise Old Man: That leaves the SOS Brigade; the only team that is willing to give us players...!

Haruhi Suzumiya: I am willing to offer you Misaka Mikoto, Saber, Monkey D. Luffy, and Alucard for Saitama!

Guthix: That's a lot of players you got there, buddy!

Haruhi Suzumiya: Our team is stacked! Whatever you want!

Rick and Morty will coach Fortnite. The team Super Sonic has been renamed to Peanuts, a Canadian-based sports team. Sonic the hedgehog will remain as the team captain. Dr. Robotnik will continue to be the coach and general manager. Charlie Brown and Garfield, among a few others, have joined this team.

Since Touhou is overpowered, they have been asked to step out of the league for this season. They will be replaced by Minecraft (24%, 68%). Reimu agreed, saying that she wants a vacation anyways.

Club Penguin has been replaced by Club Penguin Island.

It was not a fluke, like the critics say. RuneScape went on to win 60 more games straight to establish a 64-game winning streak. They effectively sweep the entire western conference. 55 of these wins were in regulation. Their next big challenge would be against the SOS Brigade, another team that has not lost a game so far. They have a 64-game winning streak, with 54 regulation wins. They swept the eastern conference and have swept 3 teams in the western conference.

It's going to be another exciting matchup. Another big game. More tickets sold. More crazy fans. More money in the pockets of big businesses. The league wishes life could be that easy...

Reporter: Sir, you need to see this. Universal analomy detected.

Commissioner: What?

Reporter: We have lost all connections to Universe #288.

Commissioner: Yeah, so?

Reporter: We don't know what's going on. But some universes out there no longer exist.

Commissioner: That's natural, universes die out eventually.

The commissioner hands the phone to the reporter.

Reporter: Umm...yes. Yes, it did. I don't know how it happened.

Superman: How do you know it's gone?

Reporter: Just something I noticed when I was managing the communication networks.

Superman: I'm obviously busy playing games right now, ironically.

Reporter: Heh.

Superman: But I'll send someone over to check. Maybe it's just a malfunction.

Rick ignores him and continues to probe the equipment. He then attempts to open a portal to Universe #288...

A chill runs down his spine, and his face fills with fear.

Commissioner: Sooooo....

An eerie silence fills the room.

Reporter: So it's gone. The whole universe.

Rick: How long have you known about this?

Reporter: Uhhh...just two days ago-

Rick: Morty, alert the Justice League immediately. Tell them it's an emergency! CODE RED!

Commissioner: What-

Rick: Many universes have disappeared. This one, in particular, has been dead for months. And I can confirm it's spreading!
