Isaac found himself to be only half listening to the various replies and shenanigans taking place throughout the room. Rory attempted to break down the solid metal door with a wooden chair, with self-explanatory results - where he was chided by no less than three people. Harry made his own opinion on the writer's outburst known, albeit the woman - who eventually introduced herself as Talia - seemed to have calmed herself and effectively explained she knew nothing more than the rest of them.

But beyond the talking there was more to happen. A series of fuzzy images crossing through Isaac's mind made him scowl, having no idea why the apparent memories had come to him unbidden - but they were not dissimilar to what he'd dreamt about, only... Clearer. That much he could tell, but not what the hell it was about. A word from Annie suggested he wasn't the only one to have experienced the odd flash of pictures, but it still didn't explain it.

Furthermore, two of the doors opened up within a few moments of one another. The first the soldier looked up at to find Lias emerging, not looking so great, and planting herself in the corner with hands over her ears. The next door that opened revealed... Somebody else. Someone he'd never seen before, who introduced herself at Violet - and going on to infer that she had been there for quite some time.

At this point the most pressing thing, to Isaac, would have been the newcomer. She could probably explain something about this place if she had really been here for a while, but such a thing would have to wait.

It was getting worse.

He grit his teeth, his other hand raising to cover his other ear - mimicking Lias' actions without intending to. Unlike the woman his expression wasn't pained, but more frustrated - growing increasingly irritated.

" So goddamn loud... " He growled.

Annie saw a new person come into the room who name is was Violet. She replied,”Nice to meet you Violet. My name Annie. We fought together that’s why we knew each other. I don’t remember how we got captured. How long of you been here Violet?” -Dances-

Talia jerked from Rory's little kick, but overall, neither were able to establish answers.

“Ughhh... We’re getting nowhere.” Elizabeth casually looked around but there was no progress anywhere. She watched Isaac’s facial expression. She pondered to herself. He complained about loudness. “What’s loud?”

“‘Ihz vision er whut, whaddya t'ink, woman? I ‘ah one, too, but I can handle it,” Rory stated.

“Hunh, I also saw something. Surgeons, blurriness. If that’s the case for most of us, he’s having a much more severe version,” Elizabeth said. “Hm?” She turned her head as someone else walked out their door that opened. The new woman introduced herself and seemed quite level-headed. Annie switched from her consolation of the younger woman to speak to the new lady.

“Ey! Help me get deh couch up, we can all ram it into the door!” Rory barked as he began to push an unoccupied sofa to see if it would slide. If it was not fastened to the floor, perhaps it could be used as a battering ram, though...

“Oh, for Christ’s sake... Do you really think you’re gonna open any of these doors by force? If your attempts didn’t work the first time, they’re not gonna work any other time.”

“Yeh give up too quick. Get ov’r ‘ere!” Rory motioned for help, brow furrowed, eyes focused, face rather angry, as usual.

Amidst the tension, Talia's voice gradually amplified, even her breaths audible. She shouted her anger and confusion, and then...

Talia’s reaction when Annie tried to sit next to her on a single-person chair was one of a little skepticism, giving her a strange look before standing up and allowing the girl to have the seat to herself. She didn’t say much regarding the question, either, choosing to only respond with a short, “
No.

Part of the reason for the short answer was likely Lias, who Talia’s eyes had gone to when she had exited her room and stayed on when she continued to act...strange. It wasn’t a surprise; nobody else here had exhibited any form of unusual behavior, instead staying true to the way they were beforehand. Lias, on the other hand, clearly had something wrong with her, or was at least aware of something that nobody else here was.

The individual in question didn’t answer the immediate question directed at her, although it was clear she did feel the kick on her foot by the immediate jerking wince that she did when it connected. Pulling her legs closer to her body, she started talking. Her voice sounded rather frustrated and angry, although both were overlaid by what was clearly pain. Her hands remained over her ears, her fingers kneading at her head as though there was something there she was trying to dig out.

Why can’t you decide? Why can’t you all speak normally? Stop shouting, then whispering, then shouting, then whispering, loud, soft, loud soft, and somebody stop that infernal humming!

It was unclear what she was talking about, but everyone listening would hear that her voice was fluctuating in volume as she spoke, almost like what she was saying was translating into her voice. However, after the first couple repetitions, her voice kept growing in volume, reaching a point by the end where it was uncomfortable to listen to.

For the first time since she’d left the room, Lias looked up at everyone, saw from the various expressions that nobody knew what she was talking about, and backed up even more into the corner, as much as she could. In what almost seemed like a slow-motion action, all of which could be heard clearly in a way that made everyone listening wonder how they could hear the inhale of breath as though it was happening within an inch of their ear, she drew in a breath…

...And then expelled it in the loudest shout that anyone in the room had ever heard. It was loud enough that anything made of glass in the room shattered, and anyone near her would be pushed back by the force of the sound waves. If anyone had seen her face beforehand, the look of panic that had welled up in it made it clear that she was not in control of her situation right now.

Again, much of what was said was lost on Isaac - at least up until Lias began speaking. Her fluctuating voice rising in volume and lowering again, yet not in a way that seemed natural, prompted the soldier to lift his hands off of his ears a short distance and look across at the woman. He visibly winced during one of the louder moments, the discomfort seemign to be growing especially bad for him - when suddenly she burst out in a shout.

And so did Isaac.

The glass-shattering scream of fear and confusion Lias released was incredible, the force of it even rolled over the soldier where he sat some considerable distance away. It did not move him, but it didn't need to. When Lias shouted he immediately reacted, his hands planting themselves back over his ears firmly as he too let loose a loud, agonized scream. Not one of fear, but of agony.

Isaac jerked violently on the chair with enough force to topple it over, the man hitting the ground hard without even trying to move his hands from his head. His scream of pain cut after a couple of seconds as the man ground his teeth together, one hand leaving his ear and grasping the fallen chair - gripping onto it tight, whether to help himself get back up or to just hold onto something not clear, as it almost immediately started creaking loudly and the leg he was holding onto snapped. In his hand the piece of wood was crushed into splinters, tumbling to the ground or poking at his skin.

He set his hand to the ground and shoved himself up to his knees, struggling back to his feet and stumbling forwards slightly - catching himself on the nearby table where he steadied himself. It creaked under his finger's grip.

Violet looked to Annie as she spoke. Violet raised her eyebrows at the mention of the group fighting together, but before she could question it, Annie asked how long she was there. Violet shrugged.
"It's hard to tell time here. I have woken up and entered this room ---"

Violet was cut off as Lias began to speak. She was complaining about the level of everyone's voice. Violet noticed that everyone was maintaining the same speaking level but that Lias herself was the one who's volume was fluctuating. Violet put her hands up over her ears as Lias' voice rose.

Realization dawned in Violet's eyes as it clicked what was happening. Violet crouched down and pressed her hands into her ears, trying to block what was inevitably coming. Lias' released the indrawn breath into a loud shout that caused the glass in the room to break. The pain of the volume of Lias' voice still made it through to Violet's eardrums. Violet glanced at Issac from her crouched position as he too released a loud shout, but more of pain than fear.

Violet watched as Issac tumbled over himself and the sparse furniture in the room, breaking some of the furniture in the process. Violet finally stood when Issac steadied himself against the table. She glanced from Issac to Lias, not knowing who to approach first. She knew what they had just been through, as she herself experienced her own version of it days before, but she was alone, they were not. Instead, she froze, not moving to either, not sure of what to do in this situation. It was the first time she has seen people in days, and it was slightly overwhelming.
There isn't one.

Annie listened what violet just told her but, she stopped in mid sentence because Lias complained how loud they were being and yelled. She felt her body shake from the vibrations from Lias Scream. She felt very confuse and very scared of what's going on.

After a few minutes later, she felt a strange Energy star growing in her. She was very frightened of what's going on with her. She screamed in pain because the strange energy inside her hurts her very badly. Finally the strange energy grew so much that a fire came out of her fingers. She screamed with fear because she never felt this before. She asked in a scared, tired voice,"What the hell going on with me?" She just laid on the floor to get her strength back.

Harry Richard

Harry sighed and rubbed his temples, as the strange fuzzy vision faded. Was that a memory? A hallucination? Had they been drugged, or poisoned? Maybe they were going mad. Those antics at the outpost - had that even been real? What had happened to him?

He wasn't sure what to make of all this. Many of the people in the room began to collapse, scream, or both. He was no doctor. Out of necessity, he did have some basic knowledge on how to treat bullet or knife wounds, but this? This was beyond him. What would happen to them? Would they die, would they pass out, would they go berserk? And was he about to go through a similar episode?

Adding more noise to the chaos would not help.

And so Harry sighed, and sat back down, keeping an eye on the rest of the room as they went through their episodes, half-expecting his own head to start aching as well.

Elizabeth covered her ears and spun around when the amplified shout came. Glass shattered, Rory frowned but remained somewhat untroubled, and a couple more people were in distress.

Peculiarly, the chair leg Isaac had grasped imploded somehow, something Violet and Elizabeth noticed. Annie started to scream as well and then fire flowed out her fingers.

“Deh hell is dis? A freakin’ insane asylum?” Rory complained. “Ey, ya made dat chair leg shatter, do deh same fer deh door.” He seemed rather oblivious to emotions and suffering. However, the veins in his forehead throbbed and his frown deepened.

Elizabeth notied Rory’s bulging veins and quickly scuttled a short distance away from that direction, but also to avoid those writhed and screamed. She took her seat on a sofa and waited, lips parted, eyes wary, and breathed heavy.
