Lias’ tone was one that indicated she had known what she was saying would go nowhere, but was disheartened by the fact that she didn’t get any support on it. She didn’t push it, though, indicating that, despite what she was obviously feeling, she knew enough to realize it wasn’t a good idea to make this hostile.

Even then, though, how can we know he’ll even tell the truth? If he’s imprisoned here for a good reason, do you think he’d actually say it? I’m willing to listen because I don’t think I have a choice anymore, but I don’t think I can trust anything that get said.

I wish that was possible.
” Storm replied. “
Even though Vellin can be insufferable, and he’d probably tell you I’m kidnapping him just to make things difficult, it’d do more to help than harm. Unfortunately, it’s going to take time for the stasis to wear off, and we don’t have the time to wait for that. The portal has a very short lifespan, and we cannot afford to take the time to return conventionally.
”
There was a quiet chuckle from the center of the group at this, the writer following it up with a rather dry, “
That’s convenient.
”
If she heard that, Storm ignored it, adding, “
Oh, and Vellin is his name. I’m sorry, I forgot that there’s no way any of you would know that. First and foremost, he needs to come back now so that he has the ability to continue his life, but also because there's something we need him to...call. It's difficult to explain, but the most direct way of saying it is that he sealed something away that needs to be brought back.
”
