The mob went quiet as Diango walked out of the massive doors. He was pale, his eyes wide in constant fear and his hair was messy. He walked slowly, always taking quick looks behind him, as if making sure there was nothing there.
One of the peasants, a little old lady, stumbled forwards to take a better look.
“Diango! What have they done to you!” She shouted.
“Corugi has opened my eyes!” Diango explained in his dramatic sounding voice. “You are blind to his ways, but you will find the Path to Salvation soon!”
“What have you done?” She asked Corugi. “Tell me what did you do to my son?”
“I didn't do anything,” Corugi replied truthfully. After all, he just lent Diango to the mad scientist upstairs for a day. He had no idea what the crazy man had done to Diango, but it had seemed effective enough. Diango was his new prophet, ready to spread the word of the Holy Corugi.
“Maybe you should listen to him, he seems to know what he is talking about,” he continued to the old lady. ”Maybe you all should listen to what Diango has to say.”
“Corugi is Great!” Diango started his speech again. “He shall lead us to salvation. Walk the path of the Righteous, or your Soul will burn Eternally!”
“That's right, burn eternally in the pit of doom, which I have created for that very purpose in the market yesterday!” Corugi quickly added, and took on an impressive pose.
The mob shouted its surprise with various oohs and ahhs.
“Well if Diango says so, who am I to disagree?” One of the peasants explained.
“Yeah,” another added. “Diango has never lied to us before.”
“If anyone knows what he is talking about, it is Diango.” A last peasant confirmed, and the whole mob nodded and grunted their approval.
And thus it was decided, Corugi would lead the peasants of Draynor to their salvation. Whatever that may be.
