This is as usual FABULOUS ;)
Thank you dear Lady for shedding light upon the great Fearless (and elusive) Leader Holy Corugi!!
"But I do know one of his first great acts of heroic justice was done in the small farmer's town called Lumbridge"
Here we can see the burgeoning origins of Corugi's passion (obsession?) with Farming possibly? In addition a highly illuminating and entertaining insight into a most Guthix oriented skill - cultivation of vegetables!!!
A Most Excellent Read - Cheers for Kimzi!! (and her most fascinating subject of course ;)

The manor turned out to be haunted by not only a group of ghosts, but a mad scientist and a chicken as well. Luckily they all preferred to stay on the upper floors, and Corugi claimed the bottom floor for himself.
Our emperor planned to eventually have the ghosts banished, but they could stay for now. They were harmless anyway, and besides, they made very creepy noises and when kindly asked to leave they would start throwing books around.
After being hit in the head with a particularly large dictionary, Corugi decided to stay far away from them. He would have his revenge later.
After searching through Diango's clothes, Corugi quickly established that his money was not there. No one steals from the Mighty Slayer Corugi and gets away with it, and so our hero set out to locate his four million nine hundred thousand gold.
After all, and idiot like Diango would never be able to come up with a good hiding place anyway. Finding his gold should be as easy as slaying a vampire baby.
Diango he kept locked in the basement for training. To start a new career as a Holy Prophet and Saviour, one would need believers, and believers are hard to find in today's world.
Diango would do nicely as a test subject for various new poisons and torture methods until he was ready to declare the holy word of Corugi to the world. And the mad scientist on the top floor could always use a fresh chicken.

The marketplace of Draynor was quiet this morning. People had partied like there was no tomorrow last night, and were sleeping off the effects of various beverages. Swiftly and stealthily Corugi approached Diango's old table, but his gold appeared to be hidden.
“No matter”, he mumbled to himself. “For someone as intelligent as me, finding this gold should be easy.”
He looked under the table, and went through Diango's personal belongings that were left behind. Nothing.
One of the local peasants noticed something was going on and walked towards the busy Corugi.
“Y' need to dig. Once I dropped me coin and it went straight into the soil. 'S good soil around 'ere, it is.”
Corugi gave the peasant an interested look.
“Digging you say? A surprisingly smart idea. Don't suppose you have a spade I can borrow?”
The peasant walked off quickly and returned shortly after with an old rusty spade. “Ere's me best one. Found me coin with this one I did.”
“Thanks,” Corugi said, and took the tool from the dirty hands of the old farmer.
With renewed determination to get his money back, our Glorious leader stared digging. It took a while to clear the first layer of hard packed dirt, but soon things were going pretty smoothly.
More and more local farmers and fishermen crowded around the ever growing hole, curious about what was going on. Some of them started cheering and shouting encouragements whenever Corugi started looking tired.
After a few hours a large mob had gathered around what seemed to be a pit of doom in the middle of Draynor Square.

When the sun started setting that evening Corugi accepted that his money was not hidden here, and if it was the lava would have destroyed it by now anyway. Tiredly he climbed out of the epic pit and was surprised with an offer of hot food and cold beer by a few farmers.
"That's one amazing pit that is,” one of them said. “Haven't seen a pit like that since, well since ever!”
“Yeah, 's a good pit,” another added while peering into the darkness deep down below.
Corugi gratefully took the offerings of food and drink, and quickly devoured it. Using his amazing intellect he instantly realised that the pit could have its advantages.
Disbelievers, infidels, smelly old people, any who opposed him could easily have an 'accident' and fall to their doom in the pit. A brilliant and well planned side effect of his overzealous digging.
The next day our most Holy of holy leaders woke up to a lot of shouting going on outside. Irritated, he got dressed quickly and proceeded to investigate. Outside the door of the manor a small mob of peasants had gathered. They didn't seem too pleased.
“There 'e is!” One of them, a short fat woman wielding a burning torch shouted and pointed at the door.
“He killed Diango, and now he is after his gold!'”Another exclaimed.
“Behold!“A dramatic voice sounded from somewhere within the house.
“A mob has come to pay their respect to the Great and Glorious Corugi!”
“Ah, Diango,” Corugi mumbled to himself. “You are ready just in time.”
