As for the "eye for an eye" discussion, Hammurabi's Code was the first recorded set of laws, and was much harsher than that -- striking your father, for example, resulting in your hand getting cut off, and similarly disjointed punishments. The Ten Commandments evened the count -- an eye for an eye, a hand for a hand, a life for a life. Much more just.

I don't have time to continue our discussion today Ael, sorry - I'll try to get back to it later. But be assured you didn't offend me. =p

Chek: The idea is that the cockroach and the barren land it lives in are the readers mind before they read my stories.

Upon which nurishment comes and rejuvinates the land - until the cockroachs realize that what they're eating is poison laid down by the exterminator.

In other words: These stories excite your imagination, but they're not all good for you, lol. That's the simple explination - I might elaborate later but I have to go.

Cya guys. ^^

Edit: Wow, long time later - and i'm looking back at this conversation and wondering where it came from, haha! =]

Good. So I was on the right track in figuring it out at least. :3

I got the whole cockroaches are readers thing and the poison is something they want and bad for them...just never made the connection to stories.

The pilot is my favorite, he was from the very first episode, where he is playing with the dinosaurs, lol.

Wash, I think it was? I hardly remember.
Yup, him and Jayne are the funniest in the group I think, and I like funny - lol.

As for my favorite episode...I really don't know, they're all spectacular. I don't know if you've seen it, but Wash and Malcolm get captured and tortured, and I think thats my favorite episode because of the torture scene, its rather funny...though that sounds really twisted xD

It's been years since I saw it...I think Wash was with Malcolm, but I don't remember for sure.

Edit: My second favorite one is the one where they land on a planet where Jayne is a hero and there is a town named after him and everybody loves him and sings his praises lol xD

Yeah, that was one I was watching the other night. They kept arguing about ****** tension between Mal's war buddy who happened to be Wash's wife.

And Jayne's pretty funny for sure.

I have to say I like the Train Job, 'cause it really exemplifies the crew's character when they give the medicine back to the people who need it. Which just happens to be the episode that later ends with Mal and Wash being tortured.

Lol. I love that show. I wish they would start it back.

Forget the movie, just get the show going again where they left it off.

I don't care if they ever bring the plot into it - a bunch of stories of them going to different planets would be fine, lol...Perhaps I'm not as picky as their regular fan base.

But yeah, I agree, they give the medicine back and stuff - it helps show that they're not the badguys...entirely, lol.
