Being unable to sleep, I read a bit. Just a couple of the stories so far, but something. I particularly liked "Toil". By using "rock-hard" as an adjective early on, it made me think of all sorts of armor except actual stone. The piece set me up perfectly for the ending. Well done.

Do you happen to write any longer pieces, or mostly short stories?

Also: I have more comments about what I read, but they must wait until I am more coherent.

Thanks. I had to re-write 'Toil' before I posted it, because I hadn't been able to find the right words to set it up that way. I'm glad it works now. ^^

I don't usually write longer pieces - but I've been working on a few.

I wont post them until they're finished, though. =p

Hey Logan, just read "Surpise" and "The Sun Smells Too Loud".


I thought that they were both written well, and you have good voice, desription, and a mysterious air. I just thought that the well written beginning and middle of "Surprise" was going to ****** in a thought provoking ending, but it climaxed pretty, well, anticlimactically.

I liked your comparison of a crowd mentality to the mindless buzzing of flies to a fly lantern in "The Sun Smells Too Loud."

I agree. To be honest, Surprise is my least favorite of all the stories I have on here. I wonder why I put it on the first post...=/

Maybe I'll shuffle it around a bit, lol.

I think I'm going to post my AoG entry story here aswell, because my other thread is a pain to keep up. But I might wait until the results are released to do that.

Is there any particular piece or two that you'd like more in-depth comments on? I cant write two posts each like I did for your contest entry. :P

But I can do it for one or two.

I understand, it would take quite a while to write in-depth reviews of two pages worth of stories. =p

But if you want to review more, just pick your favorites. ^^

Personally, my favorite of the ones I've written so far is "synergy" - because it was the most fun to write. =p

Second favorite is "The Sun Smells too Loud" =p
