“I suggest revolution!” Blue said with emotion. “If we all band together; combine our armies, then we can stand a chance. I know what I’m asking for is big, but big things change the world. I know there is a lot of tension between the clans for dominance, but will you truly let your children, and their children suffer for our apprehension? I say nay. We’ve all made mistakes in the past; let it not be our ultimate downfall.” Blue finished and waited for a response.
Wibble was the first to speak. “A beautiful speech,” he began “, but you have done nothing to convince me that this could work. How do you plan to dethrone Saradomin?” Blue looked at me. I stood up.
I coughed to let everyone know I was about to speak. “By killing him.” I said.
There were a few jeers and laughs, but Wibble raised his eyebrow. “And how do you plan to accomplish such a task? As we all know, Saradomin cannot be killed.”
“Not in his current state, but I can change that.” Doodle whispered. Everyone fell silent. Doodle looked up at Wibble. “Master, I was taught by a sage not too long ago. He’s knowledge was so great he did*’t seem mortal. He trained me in the ways of life-force magic. It’s an extremely complicated spell, and has a high-fail rate, but I learnt a spell the takes away immorality.”
“We need a great army to gain access into Saradomin throne room, but once we are in, my gang can handle the rest.” I stated.
“This will never work.” Kel Thuzad sneered. “Even if we all teamed together, we are 5 different armies, not 1 big one. Our lack of unity will be the death of us.”
“Then let us unite.” Blue said.
Everyone laughed. Even Wibble chuckled a little. “The seeds of hate go far too deep to make peace.” Wibble stated.
“Then you have doomed us all!” Blue shouted. Everyone fell silent. “I am giving everyone here a chance to live like we used to!” Blue said with great passion. *Would you really sentence the peoples of your clan to this poor life because of your own pride?”

Once again, silence.
“Think everyone! We can make a difference today, right now! If we unite, Saradomin will have no choice but look onto us as the biggest threat he’s ever faced, and for good reason.”
Again, silence. Until finally broken by Neo. “Even if we were to go along with this crazy idea,” Neo started “, who among us would lead?”
“We would all lead as a council.” Blue said.
“No no that would never work.” Skeef interjected. “A council would cause conflict as all of us have different styles when it comes to leading, and tactics when it comes to battle. What we need is a single leader who we would follow and obey despite our objections. “
After a moment’s pause, Kel Thuzud said, “Well, I would obviously be the leader.”
“You most certainly would not!* Skeef sneered.
Arguing broke out for the next few minutes. Every leader in turn giving their reasons why they should be the leader. This continued until Jaya brought down a hammer onto the table with a loud thud.
“You fools, you will never trust each other. So why not put your faith into someone you all trust? Someone who has proven themselves to you over and over again?” She said.
“And where, my lady, where we find such a mystical person?” Skeef said sarcastically.
Jaya*s eyes fell upon me. I knew where this was headed.
“The Noob has proven himself to each of you as a firm leader and a fierce fighter.” Jaya said. “He was the original person to be weary of Saradomin. His knowledge of the fallen God outmatches that of anyone else, and it’* his gang that we need to protect at all cost, for they hold the power to kill Saradomin.” Jaya was walking around the room, looking each leader in the eye. Each one in turn looked down in thought, until she came upon Blue, her leader. He met her gaze and kept it.
After a few seconds of endless silence, Jaya turned and said, “You have all seen The Noob’s might; is there someone amongst us who does not believe in The Noob’s abilities?” No one spoke.

"Put it to an official vote then. Let us decide this right here, right now. Everyone who thinks our new king should be The Noob, says ‘I’.” After a few seconds of hesitation, Blue stood up. “I.” He said. After ensued about 30 seconds of silence as all the leaders were in deep thought.
And just as it seemed no one else was going to back me, Neo stood up. “I.” He said. My confidence soared. Maybe this could work!
Slowly, 2 of the remaining leaders agreed to this arrangement, until Kel Thuzad was the last to say anything. He stood up and walked towards me. I gulped and sat straighter. He stood next to me and put his face right next to mine. I saw his eyes searching mine. “You will become the most powerful man in the free world. Can you handle that?” He asked seriously.
I looked right into his eyes. *Yes.” I said with no hesitation. I sat up straighter as I said it. Kel Thuzad once again looked into my eyes for a few seconds to see any hint of weakness. He then walked back to his seat and stood at it. He looked at all of us. “Never has there been a mortal man, in the history of RuneScape, who has united all of us. I guess to be brought together, we first needed to be shattered apart. I say ‘I’ in the faith that The Noob will bring prosperity back to the land.”
I stood up and looked at them. “I can’t thank you enough, all of you.” I was half tempted to yell YOU FOOLS!!! But I held it in. “I will do everything to ensure Saradomin’s downfall… Everything.”
We spent the next hour or so talking about my plan, which I will not enter into my diary for dramatic effect. They also all swore loyalty to me, which was pretty cool. “Ok then everyone.” Blue said. “Tomorrow we begin the campaign. Make sure everyone knows now that we are no longer the leaders of the 5, but the generals of the 1.” Blue nodded at me.
“Tomorrow we march onto Saradomin’s castle. Make sure all of your warriors are well rested, for they will need to be.” I said.
“Hail to the king.”

DAY NINETYEIGHT -Redemption-
Red moonlight bathed the landscape around me as I stood still at the base of a hill. I don’t know how I got here, nor do I search for an explanation; for some reason I accept it as a reality. A slight wind stirs tree branches in the forest surrounding me. I involuntarily glanced up, but I wasn’t being controlled. It was just as if my mind already knew what to do. Atop the strange hill stood a silhouette of a single figure. I could tell it was a male, and every time the wind came I heard chains rattling, which lead me to think he was a captive. I couldn’t tell it at the time, but the figure was facing away from me. I found out seconds later when he turned around. I knew because when his head spun around, his eyes glowed red. Red as the moonlight – red as blood. The figure tried to move, but the chains held taught. I had the sudden urge to help the figure. I started to walk up the hill, then I began to jog, then I ran as if my life depended on this man.
I reached the top with beads of sweat running down my brow. The man was no more than 20 feet away from, yet darkness still masked his identity. All that was seen were his eyes… His blood-red eyes…
The figure was staring at me intently, still as a statue. I shivered as I returned the gaze. I stood there patiently for the man to speak, but he did not. After several minutes of waiting, I decided to speak. “Who are you?” I croaked. I hadn’t realized how dry my throat was.
The red eyes fell onto the chains. At first the creature screeched, but I wasn’t surprised. I knew somehow that the being was simply trying to find a frequency audible to humans. It finally found one, but what came out were 2 voices. I heard a child’s voice, but it was being overlapped by a deeper, almost demonic voice. “Struggle…” The voice said. *Used…” it said desperately. It was a sound of pure sorrow that brought tears to my eyes.

“I want to help you.” I shouted through tears. “Tell me how!”
“Take…” Said the being. A red feather drifted down from the sky, and landed on the ground next to me. I picked it up and examined it. It was about 8 inches long with a whitish-red spine and – of course – dark red feathers. It was gilded in black around the spine and the edges.
The creature fell to its knees; instinctively I ran to help it. But no matter how far or fast I ran the creature never got any closer. “Power…Failing…Sorry…” Its last word was barely audible as the creature collapsed to the ground.
“NOOB WAKE UP!” I heard someone yell. I jumped in my bed with a start, and when I realized where I was, I slightly relaxed and searched for the voice. Of course, it was Yoshi. “Quit mumbling, you’re keeping me awake!” He whined. I sighed and apologized. I pushed my feet over the edges of my bed and just sat there for a few seconds while I rubbed my eyes. It was still hours before everyone would wake up. Yoshi went back to his bed and immediately fell asleep. Man, he sure is a pro at sleeping.
I got up and walked to my door. Standing outside were two guards making sure no one got in my cabin while I slept. Their poor posture and tired faces went away in a flash when they saw me come out. They stood at attention and looked straight ahead. “Noob, sir, where are you going?” One asked.
“I’m going for a walk.” I replied.
“Will you be needing accompaniment, sire?” The other asked. I shook my head and continued on. I walked through some forest brush towards a small river, one of the few clean ones left in this world. I bent down, cupped water into my hands and splashed it into my face. The water was freezing and the shock helped me wake up. I heard a twig snap behind me. Without thinking I grabbed for the hilt of my sword and had it drawn by the time I turned around. To my surprise, Amy came through the brush. I immediately put my sword back in its sheath.

As she walked over to me in the darkness, a chilly wind started blowing. In response, she folded her arms in an attempt to keep warm. “You shouldn’t be up,” she stated, “You need your rest.”
I flashed back to the nightmare I had. “Couldn’t sleep.” I grunted as I knelt down by the water. She paused for a second, then came and sat next to me. “Me either.” She replied.
We paused to observe the slow-moving river. The moon’s reflection wavered as the gentle current contorted the image. She began to talk, but then bit her lip. I looked at her and waited to hear what she had to say. It was an awkward few seconds until she spoke. “Thank you.” She finally said.
I looked at her questionably. “For…What?” I asked. She cleared her voice and swallowed.
“Well,” she began, “Thank you for picking me to be in your group. If you did*’t, I would have had to grow up in this world.” She said, gesturing to the landscape. I looked back at the river. What do I say to that!? Oh my god Noob don’t blow it don’t blow it don’t blow it!
I put a hand on her leg and looked into her eyes. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” I Whispered and smiled. She smiled back and after a few seconds, she blinked and lowered her eyelids and smiled more sensually. Hey I know that look! That’s the look someone gives when they’re about to –
That’s all I had time to think about before she leaned in and kissed me. ME! I was dumbfounded at first and forgot to kiss back. I recovered quickly though and I put my arm around her, closed my eyes, and enjoyed the kiss. We spent the few remaining hours together at the river until the sun rose.
Red moon-light everywhere… unholy wailing. “Betrayal… used!” It moans in agony. The sounds of bells began to come from nowhere, until it dominated all other sounds.
“Noob, wake up!” I heard Amy yell. I snapped awake immediately. We were still at the river, but the sun had risen. Looks like we dosed off for about 30 minutes. I heard the bells; they were real.

The army was massing, and I wasn’t there! It took us a few minutes to reach the rendezvous area, right next to the Portal Palace. The plan was to use the Palace’s energy to make a portal that could teleport an entire army.
I would estimate there were about 15,000 soldiers before me in formation. My generals were standing a few paces behind me, next to them stood my gang. 2 soldiers approached and helped me put on my gilded plate mail. I walked back towards my group and I signaled to Doodle. He raised his battle staff and casted an enchantment on my voice, amplifying it.
“Testing, testing: 1, 2, 3. is this thing on? It is? Very good.” I started by clearing my throat. “Warriors, mages, barbarians, pirates, and engineers: You have been called here today to do the impossible.” Murmurs rippled through the crowd. “But men, you have done the impossible already. We’ve created unity out of conflict; friendship out of suffering. Saradomin sits upon his throne, looking down at you laughing! Why? He enjoys watching you squirm! He underestimates us. He thought his rules would create distrust, which it has. But something happened thereafter that he did not foresee.” I sighed. “We grew tired. Tired of wars over a drink of water, tired of fighting our own, tired of living in filth and constant fear!” I said with emotion. Everyone was still, the only sound being the rustling of the trees.
“Eventually our hate for Saradomin outgrew the distrust, and it is hate what unites us. We can end this now! No more wars or fighting! We will all live as one for the betterment of our society. For this to come to pass, you must do me this one thing.” Everyone looked at me, I saw a few soldiers lick their lips in anticipation. “You must win!” I shouted and raised my fist. All the soldiers started cheering confidently. I turned to Wibble and gave him a nod. He nodded back, and raised his staff. His mages mirrored what he did.
