“Hmm…” I said, “I see. Looks like this is the only way in then. Lets hope the guards are friendly.” I stated. Jaya grabbed a torch at the entrance and led the way down into the tunnel. We started walking, and about 5 minutes later, I noticed something. I don’t know how, but the torch light seemed to make Jaya even more beautiful then before. I must have been drooling, because 5 seconds later: WHAM! I was slapped across the face by an unforgiving hand, that just happened to belong to Amy.
“Get a grip, we’re here to do a mission.” She snarled. As I recollected myself, I looked up and was startled to see that, through her anger, Amy’s face was red. I came to a surprising and unreliable realization.
“Your jealous!” I whispered loudly to her. Amy’s face turned even redder. “Jealous? Ha! Of what?” She asked.
“Jealous that I’m drooling over new girl and not you!” I grinned. WHAM! Smacked again!
“You wish!” She puffed and walked down into the tunnel after the rest of the gang.
I was smiling after that ordeal until someone thumped me on the back of the head. It was Ore*. “Get your head in the game.” He growled. He was right, and I could begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
As we approached the exit to the tunnel, Jaya gave us the halt sign to stop walking. She peered around the corner, and immediately came back. “There is a mage in the guard tower. The only way into the city is under it, but we’ll need a distraction.”
Yo*hi stood up proudly. “Leave it to me!” he whispered. We all shrugged and let Yoshi approach the corner. Suddenly, Yoshi yelled, “Hey guard! There’s something interesting behind you!”
Amy put her hands over her eyes. “you idiot! They’d have to be morons to-” She was interrupted by the mage.
“Really? I wonder what it could be!* The mage yelled and turned around. We were all dumbstruck, except for Yo*hi. He was counting on this. Jaya was the first to see the opportunity at hand. “We have to go, NOW!”

and we rushed from behind the corner and ran under the guard tower. As we heard the guard mumble, disappointed, we ran into the city. By the will of Zammorak, we chanced upon some mage cloths hanging out to dry. We put them on, now blending in with the crowd. This meant we could now move around freely.
I whispered, *Ok, now all we have to do is act casual and try to find the throne room.”
Oreo nodded. “It should be somewhere in the central city.” He said. “Mages always like to surround their leaders.” Doodle added.
Yoshi nodded. “Right, so act natural?” Yoshi began to was stiffly and said aloud “Boy, it’s sure good to be a mage! Don’t get to close though; I don’* want to have to use my…er…Powers!” Yoshi raised his hands, and with each sound effect, he thrust his hands forward. “Ptoo! Ptoo! Only with fire coming out. Yaaa don’* want to mess with me!”
Finally Amy dragged Yoshi back so he could stop embarrassing us. I thought he was doing a great job acting casual. That’* what mages usually do, don’t they?
We finally reached the main chamber. I t was large and ordinate, with magical glowing stones surrounding the perimeter, shining all different colors. The building itself was made of aged stone with wooden framing. It was broken down by our standards, but from what I’ve seen in the world so far, this was a formal, highly up kept building. We barged right in, and was surprised to see it was nearly empty; just a man in purple-dark green mage clothing and a few regular mages. “I demand and audience!” I said with authority.
The purple-green mage crossed his arms and looked up. I then realized how old he was. He had to be in his 70’s. people did*’t even live to be that old in my time, let alone this harsh new world.
“Oh? Speak you mind, young mage.” Said the Old mage. I began to chuckle which eventually transformed into a full blown evil laugh. “Bwhahahahaha! Mage, says you? Well, I’m no mage I’m…”

and, by thought that mage cloths hid my real identity, I quickly tore off my mage garments to reveal my normal cloths. “The Noob!” I struck a heroic pose. The regular mages aimed their staffs at me and formed a wall guarding their leader.
“No, let him through.” The head mage said. He then approached me. “Why do you all yourself The Noob?” He asked with tired eyes. Before I could answer, he looked past me, and his mouth opened slightly.
I looked behind me and noticed he was staring at Doodle. He approached him, and gave him a once-over. “Do…Doodle?” The old man asked shakily.
Doodle returned the stare as if trying to remember where he knew this old man. Then his eyes lit up. “Master Wibble!” Doodle shouted. And gave the old man a hug. “Oh it’s so good to see you Doodle. I thought I’d never see you again.” The old man said, beginning to tear up.
And there the rest of us stood, dumbstruck, even the guards. After a few seconds of confusion, I said, *Ok, what’s going on?”
Doodle turned to me. “Noob! This is master Wibble! H-he was the youngest professor at the mage academy where I trained and was kicked out. Master Wibble was the only one to vouch for me to stay in the academy when they told me I was being kicked out!
“That’s right!” The old mage croaked, “But I have to say, I was much younger then!” He chuckled. That sentenced reminded the old mage how long it’s been. “Doodle! You still look as young as the day you were kicked out of the academy! Don’t be telling me you found the fountain of Youth?” He said playfully.
Doodle chuckled. “No, but it** a lot to explain… See it all started in the hollows…”
Doodle spent the next 30 minutes or so telling him everything that happened to us over the past month. Him recapping the story put a lot in perspective on how much we’ve really been doing. Not many people can do what we did in a month, no?

At the end of the story, I preceded in telling him the story how all the clans were going to work together to take down Saradomin and restore what once was.
“Interesting story.” Said Master Wibble. “And I’d be more then willing to help…”
“Yay!” We cheered.
“If…” Master Wibble said.
“Aw…” We muttered.
“If you can pass the mage trial.” Master Wibble stated. *Ok then, what do I have to do?” I asked.
Master Wibble walked to the back of the building and took up a vial and dipped it in a cauldron and picked it back out and had this green liquid inside it. “This elixir will send you into your dreams. There, you must confront and defeat yourself.” He said.
I took a few steps back. “What do you mean ‘Defeat myself’?” I asked shakily. He did*’t answer me and handed me the potion. “Your friends will join you in your dream when you are out.” Master Wibble said.
I shrugged and drank the potion. I was out in a few seconds.
My eyes fluttered open as I gradually lifted my head. I felt like I just woke up, but I’m smarter than that… Maybe. I knew that this in fact was my dream. Out of nowhere, I heard Yoshi yell, “Hey, if this is a dream, then I can fly!” and he jumped off a cliff that just kind of appeared. He fell, and came down from the sky above us and landed on the ground next to us. I turned in time to hear Doodle response. “This is The Noob’s dream, we are simple bystanders. Only he has the power to sway his dream.” He said. I like the sound of that.
I turned to Yoshi and said, “try it again, I’ll make you fly!” Yo*hi got all excited. *Ok!” He squeaked and re-jumped off the cliff. This time, I thought about sharp weapons, and a spear appeared below Yo*hi. Aha-oh! Right through the forehead! Yoshi reappeared right next to me without a scratch. “Oh you are the worse type of person…” He said, arms crossed.
It’s hard to describe this dream world, because it’s always changing. It started off like a blank sheet of papyrus.

All I had to do was concentrate on something, and it appeared.
Then, sudden blackness. A deep voice echoed throughout my dream. “It is time for your challenge Noob. All you must do is… Kill yourself.” The world became illuminated and I stood there, sword in hand, looking at a mirror image of myself with no mirror involved, but this version of me was ready to fight. The voice came back, “You may choose one of your comrades to aid you, but be warned: They shall also have a copy of themselves they will need to fight.”
I looked behind me to see my friends were all imprisoned so they couldn’t use their abilities:
Yoshi and Jaya were in a cage, bound in rope. Doodle and Amy had handcuffs on and were behind a magical barrier. Oreo was wrapped in chains and bolted to the ground. I looked and saw Jaya looking at me. She nodded, knowing I would pick her. I was about to, until I saw Amy out of the corner of my eye. She was looking away. I came to the realization that now I’m not just picking combat partner… but maybe more. I gave a sigh. “I pick Amy.* She looked up shocked, but it was immediately changed into a grin. Amy was released and stood next to me. She drew her bow, and winked at me. Before my legs went to nothing, a form of another Amy started to appear.
I put my sword at the ready. “You take the ugly one.” I said smoothly.
Amy wined and remarked, “What, and miss and chance to fight myself? Dream on!” We both chuckled and simultaneously lunged at our opposites.
Sparks flew as I brought my sword heavily on my opponent. With my sword over our heads, my copy easily kicked me in the stomach, which made me stumble backwards. I raised me sword just in time to block a lightning-fast thrust of the sword at my gut. I jumped back and started giving him a few short jabs, which he blocked with ease. All was going good until I made a stab at his chest. He knocked it away with a sideward swipe, and brought the blunt part of his sword onto my unprotected hand.

I yelped with pain, and accidentally dropped the sword. I tried to pick it back up, but a vertical slice with his sword stopped me. I dove out of the way, with the blade barely missing me. I felt the wind of the blade going through my hair and down my arm. I surprised him by barreling into him like a gnome ball tackler, making him drop his sword.
A quick tussle ensued until I heard a voice. “Enough!” I heard Amy say. I turned to find she had bested her copy already and her bow was aimed at us. He kept moving her aim from me to my copy. I quickly realized the problem.
“I…I don’t know which one to shoot!” She yelled nervously. I was surprised when my copy was the first one to speak.
“Don’t let this copy get the best of me Amy! We’ve been through to much to have me die at the end!” My copy yelled.
“Amy! He’s trying to confuse you! I’m the real one! Please believe me!” I said with passion.
We then went back and forth for the next minute or so trying to get Amy to believe what ever one of us was the real one. Finally, my copy said, “Amy! Look at me! I love you! I always have! I always want to be with you, because you move me so much!”
I chuckled a little. I knew it was over. Without hesitation Amy aimed at the copy and fired a arrow through it’s head. I ran up an hugged Amy. “It’s over! We did it!” I yelled, and the dream ended.
I once again gradually opened my eyes feeling like I just woke up. I looked around and saw Master Wibble standing over me. The others were just waking up to.
Master Wibble had a big grin on his face. “Congratulations lad! You passed the trail!”
“Does this mean… You’ll help me out?” I asked wearily.
“Yes it does!” Master Wibble said happily.
“Oh good…” I said, and Passed out.

DAY NINETYSEVEN -Sewing the Tear-
I was too giddy last night and barely got any sleep at all! Today the world’s underground leaders were meeting for the first time in 50 years, and it was all because of me! I’m so happy I think I have to hit something! “Yo*hi, come here!” I shouted. He ran over with undying loyalty.
“Yes Noob?” He asked like an excited puppy. WHAM! Knocked him out cold! Ahh… much better. He’ll wake up in a few minutes and won’t remember a thing.

Everyone was starting to wake up. We had camped the night about a mile south of where the First of 5 was located. We didnt want to show up before the leaders did. And if we’ve timed it right, they’re all there right now, so we better not keep ‘em waiting. You know how cranky leaders get when they’re not getting attention. I looked around and saw a few of the gang awake: Oreo had already packed away his gear and Doodle was next to him. They were making short conversation that was to indistinct to hear. As I stretched and yawned Amy and Jaya crawled out of the tent that they shared. Yoshi was already up back on his feet and ready for more. He was walking about the campsite none to dazed by the happenings before.
As soon as they all did their own jobs gathering everything I called them all to me. Now was a time for a good ol fashion heroic speech that will inspire confidence into all of them. As with all great speeches, it started with a dramatic pause. I stood there for a few second with a stern look on my face, looking at each one of them in turn. I then spoke in an old, haunting voice that gave my words more gravity.

“Friends,” I started. Woot I’m on fire! “, Over the past thirty days, we’ve gone through a hell like no other. We have seen things that no one should see, no matter how bad of a character he might have been. We’ve seen people die; thousands. And when we get back, what do we find? Our very home has been turned inside out from something we could have prevented a long time ago. In a way, this is our faults, and I’ll be **mned if we don’t do our best – no, our duty in bringing this world back to its potential. We’ve seen a lot of things, but those are the very things that have made up strong and courageous – OH MY GOD THERE’S A BUG ON ME!!! SOMEONE SQUISH IT! EWWW IT’S SO SLIMY!” I dropped down into the fetal position and started shivering. Smoooooth, so much for my inspiring speech.
Oreo and Amy helped me up as the rest of them giggled in the background. We did*’t say much as Doodle prepared to teleport us to the main guard tower that would gain us entrance into the encampment that was the First of 5. It took us but a few seconds to reach our destination. After the guards got confirmation that we were aloud in, they opened the portcullis gate. We wasted no time go straight to the war room.
We entered expecting to see all the leaders sitting quietly, and some of them were. But we walk in to find that there was a lot of shouting and arguing going on about thievery, betrayal, and all sorts of underhanded deeds. The only ones talking quietly were Blue and Neo, who if you remember was the leader of the Second of 5 and wanted this union. Kel Thuzad and Skeef were having a shouting match about some shipments gone missing while Wibble sat respectfully looking past everyone else, a tired look in his eyes. Each leader had about 10 guards who accompanied him, in case anything gone wrong. The only exception was master Wibble, who had but 1 mage at his side whispering in his ear.

He had a sort of aura about him that gave the impression that even though Wibble did*’t have 10 guards, that one could defend him.
Blue, Neo, and Wibble took notice of our presence immediately, but Kel Thuzad and Skeef kept right on yelling; their guards eyeing each other suspiciously, knowing they might have the fight the man opposite of him in a moment’s notice. I took a seat at the far end of the table. I felt so powerful sitting in that seat! I could get used to it. Blue sat at the other end. With a gavel, Blue struck the table hard; the shockwave of the blow resonating throughout the room.
Blue stood up, his broad chest rising and falling as him calm breathing filled the room. “First things first.” Blue muttered loudly. He tilted his head to the side and gave a quick nod to his guards, who immediately and without question, left the room. Blue then turned back to the table. “Now if you all would provide me with the same courtesy.” I chuckled silently to myself. He was asking them to get rid of their guards! Let’s see how this turns out… where’s the popcorn!?
There was a few seconds of up-roared discontent. Even Wibble and Neo, the non-violent ones, seemed a bit hesitant to release their guards. Blue banged the gavel again. “Please, friends. If there is any bloodshed here today, then Saradomin will have won. Besides, the Noob and his friends are an independent party in all this,” he said pointing to me “, and he will ensure that nothing happens to any of you. He has gained each of your trusts, and so you no doubt know of his ability to control situations.

Someone laughed. Everyone looked at me. Oh god, I’m the one who laughed. “Um…I was just…thinking of a really funny joke I heard earlier…” I said uneasily.
“Oh do tell us the joke Noob!” Yoshi squeaked. I looked back at him with disgust. “Yes Noob, let’s hear the joke.” Oreo chuckled. Unbelievable… They were enjoying this. I cleared my throat, trying to think of a joke fast.
“Ok well um….OH! There’s two goldfish in a tank. The first goldfish yells ‘You take the gun and I’ll drive!’” No one laughed. I forgot that tanks haven’t been invented yet. Grr…
After a few more moments of making a fool of myself, Blue finally took pity on me and told me to stop. I shrunk down in my chair and tried to disappear. It did*’t work. So after that there were a few more arguments about everyone’s guards leaving but reluctantly, they all agreed and their guards shuffled off.
Blue slowly sat back down and stared at the rest of us with his hands folded. He then started with a simple word. “Time.” He said. “Time is a dangerous thing. Nothing, not even mountains can evade its eternal grasp. It is because of time that people have become ignorant. Ignorant of something that has been eating away at us from the moment it set its eyes on us. This would be Saradomin. Some of us have been born into this conflict, but most of us here remember what it was like before. What’s to say that all can’t happen again? If we do nothing, then we are choosing to live the way we are now forever, until Saradomin puts us all out of our misery, which if I understand correctly, he can do at anytime. My friends, I gather you here today to suggest another option besides eradication. “
He narrowed his eyes as silence engulfed the room. Even Yo*hi, who had been nibbling noisily at a cookie in the corner, fell silent and looked up.
