I think that I speak for all of us when I say that Aquaregis should stop being so lazy and write more... oh wait, I'm Aquaregis... right...

Anyway, more adds coming up!

(I am making a fool of myself because it is 3:00 am, and I haven't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep in the last 48+ hours...)

Aquaregis knelt within an ancient temple. In front of him stood an altar of carved marble, behind which was a golden door set into the stone of the temple wall. On either side of this door were red candles, the glow of which cast strange shadows upon the wall. Nearby a small amount of incense was burning on a golden platter.

“Come back to report to the master, Aquaregis?”

Aquaregis’ mouth formed a slight smile, as he turned and faced the speaker; a blond girl in her mid teens clad in black dragon leather, bearing a bow made of white wood and containing a bowstring which sparkled like diamonds in the dim light of the temple.

“As you know, he needs no report,” answered Aquaregis, “I came to receive instructions.”

“Something that interesting happened, huh?” questioned the girl, smiling broadly, “What could it be, I wonder?*

*Whatever it was, it must be important, seeing as three of us were called here,” commented a lady with flowing black hair as she left the shadows. Her dark blue eyes moved from the first girl to Aquaregis and back, “I do hope you aren’t being a nuisance to Aquaregis, Barabal.”

The blond girl, Barabal, snickered to herself, *Aquaregis is not as easily annoyed as you think,” she replied.

“Nonetheless, I’m sure you, who could provoke a boulder to anger, would be able to find a way,” the black haired lady responded, “Regardless; I am interested to hear what Aquaregis has found. If you wouldn’t mind, Aquaregis…”

“Not at all,” replied the mage. He was slightly smiling, a dead giveaway that he thought highly of whatever he had discovered. “I believe…” he began, “That I have found the ‘child of chaos’.”

Barabal and the black haired lady both gasped.

“Are you sure?” asked the black haired lady, “We had thought for sure that she was under the control of Zamorak.”

“I also believed that was the case,” answered Aquaregis, “But apparently something has happened, and the Zamorakians were forced to evacuate her from the Void Temple. Since of course, only Zamorak is aware of what she actually is, they wouldn’t have thought to have her fight with them.”

“Not even she knows what she is, right now, correct?” asked Barabal, “But, Aquaregis, where is she? If her power is unleashed, it could mean the destruction of Gielinor. And if Guthix finds out that she is here… he will spare no effort to destroy her. Furthermore, if she realizes who she is, it could cause disaster.”

“She is with Selene,” replied Aquaregis, “However, it appears she has lost her memories of the time spent with the Zamorakians… last I checked, she was heading toward the elflands.”

“But why the elflands?” asked the black haired lady, “If I recall, Selene is not inclined to return there.”

“The ways of chaos are strange,” replied Aquaregis, “However, there is something else that you should be informed of… Someone may soon arrive on Gielinor…”

Both of the girls looked shocked, and Barabal asked “You don’t mean…”

In the skies above the wilderness, a glowing pink shooting star appeared, plummeting toward the land. It smashed into the ground, forming a large crater directly in front of the Rogues’ Castle. From the rubble in the center of the crater, a human hand suddenly emerged; followed by the rest of the person; an old man clad in a multicolor suit.

“Ohohohohohohohohoho!” laughed the old man as he worked his way out of the rubble, “I have arrived!” Having said this, he reached back into the rubble and removed a large brimmed purple hat with an enormous acid green feather stuck in it. He gingerly placed the hat on his head and began to look around. “What a depressing place,” he said as he observed the battle scarred wasteland surrounding him. “Pshaw, that castle is blocking my view!” he exclaimed as he noticed the Rogues’ Castle. “Well, let’s get that out of the way.” With a flick of his wrist, the old man somehow made the Rogue’s Castle vanish. “Much better,” he said, “Now, where did my granddaughter run off to?”

Before he could do anything else, a cockroach the size of a ship appeared before the old man. “I am a guardian of Guthix, my master has sent me to tell you to leave at once; he knows who you are Ginko Fask, and you are not welcome here!”

“Well, why isn’t Guthix here then?” asked the old man, whose name was indeed Ginko Fask.

The cockroach sighed, “He may not interfere in the mortal realm dir-“

“Oh yes, the contract thingy,” interrupted Ginko, “Well, if he thinks I’m taking orders from a giant smelly roach, he’s got another thing coming.”

“You fool, Ginko, I have been ordered to kill you if you refuse to leave!” so shouting, the cockroach began drooling a form of acid which burned holes into the ground of the wilderness.

“Well, behold my magic!” shouted Ginko. He waved his arms wildly and the cockroach braced itself for a spell that never came. Instead a large cylinder with the words “Roach Killer” written on it appeared. Without waiting for the cockroach to react, Ginko flipped onto the cylinder, landing on a small top which sprayed a noxious mist toward the cockroach. Within moments, the cockroach was lying on its back, twitching as it died.

“Well, that was easy,” said Ginko. He looked around again and found himself face to face with the chaos elemental. “Aha!” shouted Ginko, “I have finally found you, pony!” As he said this, Ginko jumped onto the chaos elemental and grabbed two of its tentacles. “Now, onward! To Camelot!” shouted Ginko. As if on cue, the chaos elemental began speeding toward the southwest. Passing by and frightening several adventurers along the way.

Within the hall of the gods; Guthix sighed. "Oh great, as if Zamorak wasn't enough..."

"Hey, I heard that you old death-head!" shouted Zamorak, "Anyway, who is the old guy you're watching?"

"You don't want to know," replied Guthix.

"Oh come on, he rocks!" exclaimed Zamorak, "And did you see what he did to your guardian? That was freaking awesome!"

"You know, I think I finally understand why Saradomin hates you so much," commented Guthix.

Caihoc stood once again in Zaros’ presence.

“What you tell me is unwelcomed, Caihoc,” Zaros told the warlock.

“I apologize,” said Caihoc, “I have gathered as many of your followers as I can, and have them excavating various ruins that have significance to Guthix… I even have spies searching through the Druidic Histories, but as of yet, no leads have surfaced.”

Zaros did not respond for a moment. He seemed lost in thought. After what seemed like ages, the empty lord finally spoke, “I seem to have either overestimated you, or underestimated the task I have given you,” the god said stoically, “Perhaps I should grant you some help… yes…”

Caihoc stood motionless, waiting for his god and master to further instruct him. His patience was rewarded; Zaros motioned with his hand and the images of two people appeared. One was a girl with short, blood-red hair, nearly twenty by Caihoc’s estimates, and the other was a man, slightly younger than the girl, and garbed in red robes.

“These people are Weva and Ruko,” explained Zaros, “Two of my most loyal human servants. Both currently live in Ardougne and have positions of power. You are to meet with them and use their influence to arrange a meeting with King Lathas. Once you meet with the king, you are to convince him, by whatever means necessary, to aid you in this endeavor. This should not be difficult; Lathas is an ambitious and unscrupulous man…

Caihoc, I do not care about the methods you use, but ensure that the king becomes our puppet. Do you understand?”

“Of course, my master,* the warlock replied, bowing deeply.

“Good, now go.”

The warlock bowed once more, than vanished from Zaros’ audience hall.

Zaros sat back after Caihoc had left. ‘Humans are so eager to rush toward their own demise,’ the empty lord thought. There was no emotion with the thought, neither amusement nor pity; to the empty lord, it was simply an observation. Zaros had existed long before humans had come into being; he had witnessed many heroic and villainous deeds coming from that race, and his observations had taught him much about the nature of humans; they were a foolish race, and always had been.

The only difference now, he concluded was that they were far less powerful. In this day and age, a mere lesser demon could destroy the average human with little more than a sneeze, but this had not always been the case. The ancestors of the humans were so powerful that demons had feared them. They had controlled powerful magicks, had been immune to the diseases and plagues which now ravaged humans, and immune to many of the adverse effects of aging. They had possessed perfect control over their bodies, able to control the urges and passions that ran through them, able to dismiss thoughts and urges they despised without effort.

It had taken the demons many years of slow and tactical manipulation to change that. Thankfully for them, the sworn enemies of the demons had provided them with a method; a temple called the Luminous Shrine. The Luminous Shrine had been built by one of the six most ancient gods, and given to the mortal races as a gift. If used they way it was meant, the Luminous Shrine would reveal any truth that the user sought, but this was not the purpose the demons had for that temple. Instead, they had convinced the three mortal races that if they, in unison with each other used the Luminous Shrine, they could discover all the truths about the oldest and most powerful of all the gods; the First God, and in doing so, destroy it. The demons told those ancient races that once the First God was gone, they would become their own masters and the masters of the universe.
