Divus smiled. "You too," he replied, concern still an acute factor in his voice. Raphael opened the door, stepping forth into the next room and closing the door behind him. Raphael stood outside the door, his trembling left hand slowly reached up to his chest. He placed his left palm onto the center of his chest, just in front of his heart. He felt the quick pounding that felt like a jackhammer.
Raphael began to walk himself home. Ten minutes passed and Raphael was just outside the majorelle blue crystal gates into the Imperial Palace. Raphael seemed to get a grip on himself a bit more with each minute. Though he still felt very uneasy as he began walking towards the dead silent mark district.
The gray sky cried sorrow, silently pouring tears down onto the face of the earth. These droplets crashed onto the silver hair of Raphael, rolling down his face. The rain was a heavy downpour, steadily falling from the gray ceiling. Not a soul ventured out into the cold, damp day. Not even the knights. Raphael was the only soul in the market district
He slowly made his way into the quiet that caped the world. It was an eerie silence, yet strangely peaceful. The chilling air bit all across his bare, pale skin as he continued to walk passed empty stalls with blankets covered on top of them. Windows from building to his left and right peered a dim light out towards the colorless afternoon.
His face gazed upon the stone brinks that lined up as a pathway. His purple eyes lost in a nightmare of thought. As his feet smashed into puddle after puddle, a small rupture of voices broke through the troubling silence and caught his ear. Raphael's head was attracted to the source of the sound, reeling his head back up. His eyes stared down three people walking out of a building.
The end
is only
the beginning...
