You’re welcome, and thank-you, too! All your points are reasonable, and I feel the debate has come to a close. The “realism vs. fantasy” really is not something either of us can win, so, as you’ve said, I would suggest doing whatever you wish to, but watching the suggested videos will surely spice-up your combat scenes. My intent is to poke you in the face with a stick to entice you to look at the videos basically, but yeah, they are all optional, and feel free to save it for another time.

The title, Military Designs from Talhoffer's Medieval Combat Manual, put into YouTube, will give you the upload dealing with the medieval tank, grenade and frogmen. It is truly interesting, and mixed with fantasy, I’m sure you could create something awesome. If you wish to use the Knights Templar in a fictional version of itself, that’s definitely a start. The other popular Orders would be the Teutonic Order and the Order of the Dragon (Dracula came from this Order).

The Knights Hospitaller, aka the Knights of St John, still exist to this day, btw.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I also used to be immature and childish. We all have, and let's just say I am glad some of my older stories have been long-gone and now no one can read them. xD

Why are you thanking me? You're the one who spent eleven hours reading while burning your eyes out. xD But yes, I agree. Both of us had our points so I think it's a tie.

"My intent is to poke you in the face with a stick"

Oh, no... not the face. D: This line made me chuckle. I know for your end it probably wasn't meant to make one laugh. But you see, my siblings and I just enjoy playfully making remarks about one's face.

Anyway, I'll take your word and go on to watch those videos tomorrow on my free time. If you're basically holding up a sign saying that they could very well aid me then I would be rather foolish to ignore them. So, I suppose I know what to watch while doing some Firemaking. ^^

Yeah, I know we all were. But I used to think trolling (even though this was before that word was really well known) was cool and did to people who didn't deserve it. xD

But thank you again for all of your time and your words. It truly is most appreciated.

P.S: I'm fully aware that the Knights Hospitaller is still hanging about. It's pretty amazing though how such an old order is still around. o.o

Chapter 10: Confession

Her eyes cracked open, staring up at a ceiling she thought she would never have to look up at again. She felt numb as she had made a return the Kingdom of Governanti. The archer's pale blue irises then became attracted to a glitter at the corner of her right eye. The shine came from a top of a table which flooded Elena's mind with memories, scarring her mind with fresh wounds.

The armour thats duty is to protect the king of Governanti laid there in the bed of mahogany. Its shine forsaken, left to dazzle alone. Even the Arbandor was left all alone. She was surrounded by the memories that echoed like a ghostly ballroom dance, spinning and swirling all around her. These memories were both painful and joyful. She had no clue as to what to think, she laid there in the comfort of a bed she had hoped to never lay in again.

She sat up, rising like a phoenix born from the ashes of its past. She realized that her past life with the Resistance was gone, knowing now that they know of all that she wanted to leave behind. She sat there, her left knee bent up while her right leg stood bound to the cotton earth. Elena then began to take a look around the area, realizing that her equipment had been stripped from her.

By the door leading to the balcony laid a small drawer with a lamp crowned a top it. Her bow, quiver, and her longsword leaned against it like a person depending on a friend. With this in hand, she continued to sit there all alone. The shine from two large windows, each sat on the sides of the double doors, opened up a surreal shine.

The shining star had lost its wings and it had begun its descent down upon the mortal world. The sky was a peaceful war between light and darkness, creating a purple-orange collision in the sky. There were several puffy war-balloons for the purple army. The orange was winning however, allowing its victory to echo throughout the land. An orange shine fell across the world, bleeding through the glass.

It was almost like a holy shine, cutting through the glass like tissue paper. Elena approached the window, reaching her hand out to touch the glass. Her right hand was firmly planted against the face of the see-through body, she peered through and into its soul. She saw a scene of a darkening city and a shine that fought to sustain its life.

It was truly a realistic message, light fading into darkness. Her face was hit by the ball of light piercing through into her room, but she was almost kept in the shadow. As she became consumed by the sea of thought, her ears caught a sound that made her jump. She quickly spun her head in that direction, revealing her brother walking into the room.

He was dressed in his attire underneath his armour, minus the cape. In all of her days, she had never seen him like this. He had this aura about him, it screamed a warmhearted joy unlike any other. One of the Loyal Knights closed the door behind him. He walked in, carrying a tray that held a warm teapot and two cups to house the liquid inside it. Balor stopped in place, he was a few feet from his sister.

"Welcome home, my sister." he happily said, welcoming Elena back to a place she felt was like her own emotional prison. He then turned towards the bed he chose to sit next to. He began walking towards it. "Come, I just made some tea."

Elena followed just behind him, albeit nervously. She was clouded by a mixed bag of emotions that was just dumped on top of her. He laid the tray of tea on top of the table beside his armour. He reached his right hand for the teapot's arm, scooping it up. Elena sat down on the bed she woke up from, her head was down as she began to channel away the hatred and anger she felt.

Balor then began to fill the cups with the hot and delicous juice. Once he filled both cups with tea, he clenched the plates beneath them in his hands as he turned around to once again face the only true thing to ever matter to him. He walked back over to his chair, the one beside Elena's bed. He then slowly sat back down.

The air was gripped by a slight chill, allowing the steam that came off of the tea to appear vividly. He then reached out his right hand out and allowed Elena to take it. "Here you are," said Balor. "made just the way you like it."

A slight smile grew on Elena's face. "Th-thank you..." she stuttered, thanking her brother. Her hands reluctantly reached out and took hold on the cup and plate. She then reeled them both back in.

Waiting for his tea to cool down, he stared at his sister. A trade of words was about to play out. "So, Lucia," said Balor. "how has my beautiful sister been? I hope those petty huma—"

"I've been great, brother." she quickly and sharply answered, shaking her head up and down once. "Probably a lot better than you might think."

"Oh..." spoke Balor, unable to think of the words to return to her. A moment of silence then fell down upon the two. Balor looked down at his cup. He saw the reflection of his lightly glowing irises peer back at him. He then closed his eyes. "It's quite sad, isn't it? This tea is the only good thing to come from humans."

"Ye-yeah..." she agreed, biting her lip.

Balor turned his head back up, opening his eyes with it. He stared at his sister, ready to once again speak. "Oh well... soon enough we won't have to worry about them!" stated Balor, confident in his future. "Sister, do you remember our dream?"

"The one where we would rule for eternity and go on to create a utopia for gods?" she returned.

"That's exactly the one," he responded, confirming her answer to be true. He was joyful inside to think that his sister still remembered it to the tee. "and I'm going to make it a reality. All we need really is the messenger of the Elder Gods and all will be ours for the taking."

""Messenger"?" she quoted with question.

"Yes, Soter Sera," replied the king. The last name of the man sent a shockwave throughout Elena's mind. That Soter has the same last name as Uriel. "he's the messenger of the Elder Gods. You remember them, don't you?"

Elena shook her head as she attempted to absorb the information given to her. "Yes, I remember." she confirmed. "Back in our homeworld, they were essentially the kings of kings."

"Precisely." responded Balor. "Anything they didn't like would be corrected by the king or else the king would see suffering. They have threatened me already with their dog but I will not bow like Divus or those behind him. I am going to see to it that this world becomes the paradise that you and I always envisioned."

"And killing the humans is a necessary part to it?" asked Elena, perhaps trying to sway her brother to a better place.

"Yes, of course." quickly answered Balor without hesitation. He then took a sip of his tea, allowing the flow of the hot drink to pour down his throat. He then put the cup back down on its landing pad. "Such imperfect creatures have no right to live in a world such as the one we dream of."

Elena's pale blue eyes then shifted to her left, disappointed by Balor's answer. Elena then closed her eyes. "Then do you know why it is that I fought against that dream?" she asked with seriousness. "Do you know why I fought alongside them?"

"Because you were forced to." answered Balor, a slight giggle broke from underneath his voice. "Why else would you fight with an impuissant rabble like that?"

"No... that's not it." she softly answered, disappointed with Balor's response. It was time, there were no other options. Her head fell down, her face pointed down at the floor. Now she had to gather the heart and courage to tell him; to make the confession, that all this time was a lie.

Balor was concerned, worried about his sister. He noticed a splash hit the pool of her tea, implying that she had begun to cry. This sorrow pulsed throughout the cup like a lost echo. This sent a red flag off in his head, he became alerted by this sudden change in his sister. He quickly sat up from his chair and placed his tea on the place where he once sat.

He then placed himself right next to his sister and began to rub her back with his left hand. "There's no need to cry, sister." he thought, responding to the tear that she had shed. "Truly, I don't believe any of those humans are worth your tears. So let's just drop the subject, okay?"

"No, Balor..." she replied. "...that's something I can't do." Her mind was speaking words for her to say, yet her mouth would not move. It was a battle, an eternal struggle happening within a few minutes. Her lips began to quiver as she wanted to say it but yet again she was denied.

Balor noticed that she seemed like she was holding something, like there was an elephant of burden sitting on top of her. "Is there something you need to say to me?" he asked, attempting to read his sister. "Come now... you know you can tell me anything."

Elena drew breath into her lungs as an attempt to push out the grief and sorrow -- the burden that held her down like a anchor chained around her ankles and left her to drown in the sea of despair. She managed to let go the balloon of her feelings, forcing it out of her body. "Brother," she named. Her beautiful pale blue eyes then turned onto Balor. "what if I told you that I fought with them because I actually wanted to?"

Balor shook his head. "That wouldn't make sense." he answered honestly. "You yourself told me that you loathe the humans. Who fights with something that they hate?"

"I... never hated them." she spoke, her voice hung low. Elena turned her head back down, her pale blue eyes glancing inside the cup of tea. She was apprehensive of what might come if she told Balor the truth. "The truth is, I disagree with our dream. I do want to see a world of peace, where everyone can live freely and not have to witness the sorrow and pain of war and death. But brother, your methods are far too harsh to even consider the sacrifice a worthy justification."

Balor didn't know what to say, he stood there listening to his sister's outpour with an surprised expression. Elena closed her eyes, preparing herself for the course ahead. "This whole time, I've lied to you about everything !" she confessed, her voice rising like the sun. With her anger, she tossed her cup of tea to her left.

The tea was spilt like a blood stain all across the floor. The cup smashed furiously against the stone wall, shattering completely. Balor's eyes watched the cup soar across the air and hit the wall. He seemed shocked by the sudden change in his sister. He then quickly turned his focus back to her. "I-it's okay, Lucia!" he stuttered, nervously assuring her that he was all right with her. "W-we don't have to kill the humans. They c-can just keep working for us!"

Elena then shook her head. "That's the other reason why I decided to fight against our dream." she continued, she recomposed and calmed her voice. She then confidently lifted her head up and faced her brother. Though her face may be strong, the tears continued to roll down her face. "I want the humans to be treated as our equal. I want them to stop being slaves and become what they were during the years of their rule."

"S-sister," he once again spoke, his voice's foundation cracking. "I-I... c-can't..."
