But behind Raphael, death was slowly creeping up on him. A black cloak sluggishly approached the young silver haired man, his footsteps as silent as snow falling from the sky. He was crouched down, stepping closer to his target. Gripped tightly in his right hand was a wicked looking dagger made of steel. The assassin's pale green eyes gazed upon the young man's back with extreme anticipation. The sweat dripped softly down the sides of his head, the dagger stood still and calm in his hand.

Uriel kept his calm but made a point with the connection of his eyes to Elena about the urgency of the situation. "Raphael," spoke Uriel. "Take care not to get yourself killed."

Raphael turned his head over to Uriel. "What?" he questioned, unable to get what exactly Uriel was pointing out. The assassin just a few feet from where Raphael stood acknowledged what exactly was going on. He knew he had to quickly kill Raphael before he is discovered by him. He then raced with speed over to Raphael, the tip of his dagger pointed like a sign towards the target.

Raphael heard the footsteps approaching him swiftly, he quickly spun around to gaze behind him. His hands flipped onto the handle of his trusted blade as he turned around to face the enemy. As he moved his body, a loud explosion of sound took the air. Up from above, a huge lightning bolt cut through the ceiling and straight towards the assassin.

Faster than the blink of an eye, the blade from the sky came down and sliced through the black hood. After the strike, one breath to the assassin was the battle of a lifetime. He collapsed onto the ground, his heart freezing as solid as his intentions. His dagger fell from his hand, a thud hurled into the air as he and his dagger collided with the floor.

Raphael's purple irises stared down upon the body of the black cloak, his face a mask of disbelief. His vision watched the flow of smoke pour out of the man's body as the smell of charred flesh conquered the air. "Dear Armadyl," spoke Raphael with shock exploding in his voice. The young man turned his head back behind him, he saw Uriel's left hand pointing towards the area where the assassin once stood. Raphael let out a light smile. "Tha-than-."

The young boy glared back at Raphael. Uriel knew without a doubt that the imminent danger was far from gone. "Hold your thanks," he said with a cold, harsh voice. "We are far from safe."

Raphael took Uriel's warning with seriousness. "But how do you-" he tried questioning.

Uriel raised his right hand up, it was held at about the height of his chin. His right index finger then pointed up towards the ceiling. "We have company," stated Uriel, interrupting Raphael.

Elena then began to pull out her sword, knowing well of the situation. Elena's pale blue irises gaze up at the ceiling. Her eyes scroll through every inch of the ceiling. But she sees nothing. "Where, Uriel?" she asked.

Uriel slightly gritted his teeth together. His eyes looked up at the ceiling with Elena. "Dammit," growled the boy with anger. "They're not up there anymore."

Raphael shuffled his head all around the room. "Then where?!" he yelled, he lacked any real tranquility.

Uriel glared towards Raphael. "Calm down, you fool," suggested Uriel. "If you lose your calm then you drop your guard. That's exactly what they want."

Elena turned to Uriel. "Do you think they've left?" asked Elena.

Uriel quickly shook his head. "No," he answered. "They've been waiting for us to arrive the very second they got here. They wouldn't dare think of leaving."

The four black cloaks sat outside of the house. They all hid behind the walls so that they don't appear in the windows. They all breathed silently and did not dare even utter a word. Their daggers were ready with lethality. Back inside, Raphael turned towards the door that led outside. His uneasiness felt like a tight snare of pressure around his body once he laid eyes upon the wooden surface.

Raphael's face tightens up. "I-I think..." he spoke softly, his voice was tired and weak. "They're...outside waiting for us."

Elena turned towards Raphael. She seemed concerned with him. "Are you all right?" she asked, worried.

Raphael shook his head. "Y-yeah," he answered with a stutter.

Uriel glared his eyes towards the door. "That seems like a possibility," he thought as he then threw his left hand out in front of him.

Suddenly, the glass from the window exploded. Shards of the sharp material sprayed all across the room. The three covered their faces with their arms to protect themselves from the glass. The assassins then pour back into the building with the intention of murder. Uriel realized this and was the first to ready himself for the fight.

One of the assassins then charge towards Raphael, the dagger aiming for Raphael's chest. Elena then realized that her leader's life was in danger. She then quickly jumped into action. She swung her blade down upon the incoming threat. Not seeing her coming, the blade slashes across the left hand of the assassin. It was the hand that held the dagger that was injured.

This sends the assassin back as he no longer held onto a weapon. He took several steps backwards, grabbing onto his left wrist. His hand was barely attached to his body, only a strip of flesh was willing to hold onto it. Blood poured out of the injury like a fountain, the man shook like a freight train as he stared down at his once attached hand.

Raphael looked forward and saw the back of the young archer standing in front of him. Raphael then drew his breath quickly into his lungs. He then turned slightly to the right as he then began to rush in that direction. There was an assassin that charged towards Raphael, they both were about ready to collide.

Elena kept her eye on the wounded assassin in front of her. "Leave," she spoke quickly to the man. "And I swear that you will live."

The man slowly turned his eyes up towards Elena's face. His brown eyes gazed upon the young archer with iniquity, they screamed hatred and evil. Elena was not fazed by the look of a demon upon the man's face, she knew then that the man would not turn away. The assassin quickly grabbed onto the small dagger on the right side of his waist with his right hand.

He then pulled it out of it's sheath and lunged his dagger towards Elena. The tip of the iron dagger darted towards Elena's throat. She countered, leaning slightly to her right to dodge the incoming blade. The dagger comes rather close to her cheek, it breezed by the leather of her hood. She then launched her steel blade towards the abdomen of the man.

Her blade impaled the man in the center right of his abdomen, cutting straight through his liver. The man's face froze with a look of shock as the pain of death came to him. Blood dripped from Elena's blade as if it were crying tears of crimson. She then swiftly pulled her blade out of the assassin's flesh. Just as she does, the man fell down onto the floor.

Elena then turned her head to her right and realized that Uriel's life was threatened. There was a female assassin bolting towards him without relent. Uriel was unable to defend himself due to his lacking ability to cast his magic anytime he chooses. He stood there in the pathway of the rushing eagle, he was the prey of the bird.

The young female archer quickly pulled her left arm towards the left side of her waist, where her bow sat in still motion. She reeled it up until her left hand was at the height of her chest and held it out in front of her. Her right hand then magnets onto the back of an arrow cased in the quiver strapped onto her back.

She then pulled the arrow attached in between her right index and middle fingers back on her bow's string with speed. Within a moment, her arrow was ready to launch. It was now up to her to make the kill shot. She pointed her arrow towards the charging assassin. As she as trying to make the shot, her left arm trembled and caused a significant amount of pain to the young archer.

She then grit her teeth tightly. Without hesitation, the arrow is catapulted into the atmosphere like a shooting star in the sky. Uriel watched as the assassin stepped ever closer to him, the dagger that thirsted for his blood staring at him right in the face. The world seemed to move in slow motion to the young boy. But then the arrow launched by Elena finally came into play, it found it's mark.

It hit the assassin right in the side of her neck, coming extremely close to her jugular vein. The assassin froze in place, her right hand reached up towards the scene of the injury. Blood dripped from the wound as she looked to her right in fright. She tried to gasp for air but all that came into the air was a breathless gurgle for oxygen.

Her right hand squeezed the side of his neck as the blood continued to pour out from her neck. She then began to fall down towards the floor, the life she led was more-or-less over. Elena pulled her bow down, her pale blue irises watched as the assassin collapsed. Elena walked over to Uriel, her footsteps slow and reluctant. "Are you all right, Uriel?" she asked, concerned for her brother.

Uriel's eyes watched another fight going on. He shook his head. "I'm fine, sis," he answered, assuring his sister of his well being. "But I think you should help Raphael now." Elena stood beside the young boy, just about a foot and a half from where he stood. She turned her head towards the way that Uriel was looking.

She saw that Raphael was handling two of the assassins, one male and another female. Raphael waltzed around the daggers of the killers with ease. The young silver haired man hasn't even drawn his blade. He and the murderers were in the middle of the room. The female assassin lunged her dagger towards Raphael's sternum while the male assassin swept his dagger from his left to his right.

He was right behind Raphael so the female assassin could not see him. Acknowledging the death that threatened him, Raphael quickly knelt down. His right knee hit the floor while his left knee was bent up like a V turned upside down. The dagger swing by the male assassin just barely misses Raphael's head.

The dagger that originally came for Raphael missed him and now was heading towards the male assassin. Without a moment to react, the female assassin's dagger inched ever closer to the man. Her dagger impaled the man's mid-torso, just under his heart. The male assassin froze with a look as if his breath was robbed from his treasury of air.

The female assassin's eyes were widened once she realized what she had done. Her jaw hung ajar, her black as coal irises watched the blood pour out from her comrade's body. She lets her dagger go and the man began to fall to the ground like a collapsing tower of cards. The man's body hit hard down on the floor, his face frozen with the same breathless look.

Raphael stood back onto his feet, his purple irises staring at the young distrait woman. Her eyes still looking forward as if her comrade's face were still there. Raphael drew in breath into his lungs, releasing it out of his mouth as a sigh of lament. "Look," the leader said. "I don't want anyone else to die today. Please leave and I swear that you will be kept alive."

The young woman's eyes then began to water. "My brother..." the woman cried, falling down onto her knees. "He was all I had left...and now he's gone..."

Raphael closed his eyes. "I'm sorry," he sorrowfully apologized. "I wish that it didn't have to come to this."

Uriel began walking over towards the woman. "You know this is your fault, Anabel," spoke the boy roughly to the young woman. "If you hadn't joined the Desert Assassins, you and your brother would still be together."

The woman turned her head towards the way that the voice came from. Her flooded eyes gazed upon the face that was so familiar. "Uriel?" she named with question. "You-you've been with the Lumbridge Resistance this whole time?"

Raphael turned his head behind him, looking at the boy Anabel spoke to. "You were with the Desert Assassins?" Raphael questioned.

Elena looked at Uriel with question. "So, you lied to me?" she asked with a sharpness to her tongue.

Uriel turned around, his angry sight viewed Elena's confused face. "Slightly," the boy confirmed. "I didn't lie about my parents. I joined the Desert Assassins with the hope that I may be sent to kill Balor. Little did I know that they were actually working with him to cast his pitiful murders. So, I left once I realized that fact. And I was left on my own on the streets of the city where you found me."

Elena closed her eyes and let out a light smile. "I suppose I didn't exactly ask for further information," the young archer said.

Uriel scratched the right side of his head with his right index finger. "Sorry," apologized Uriel.

Elena shook her head. "Don't worry about it," she responded."Everybody has their secrets."

Anabel closed her eyes and bowed her head. She was on her knees before the young leader, her face pouring with tears. "I am nothing without my brother," she spoke out softly. "Sir Raphael...would you please end this cursed existence?"

Raphael quickly flipped his focus back over to the young female assassin. Raphael knelt down just in front of the woman. "I'm not going to kill you, (co) ma'am," he softly declared. "If you could, could you please answer some questions for me?"

Anabel drew in breath into her lungs and sighed. She pulled her head up to look at the young man in front of her. Her black as coal irises gazed upon Raphael's face. "What, sir?" she softly spoke.

"I need know a few things, if you don't mind," the young silver haired man stated. "Could you please tell me if Balor sent you?"

Anabel shook her head. "I cannot say for I do not know," she replied. "Only our higher ranks know of our clients. But I would not doubt it. Our queen and masters have been constantly in and out of Governanti."

"And this queen," Raphael continued. "She is your leader, yes?"

"Yes," she confirmed. "Her name is Libitina. She is our queen, our leader. The very embodiment of Lamia."

"I see," Raphael spoke with a question in his voice. "Why were you sent here?"

"To kill everyone here for they were suspected of being a part of the resistance," she answered. "We were also directed by our queen to wait here for you. And...to kill you and just you."

Raphael raised his eyebrow. "Just me?" he asked with a curious twist in his voice. "Not Elena or Uriel?"

"Just you, sir," she stated. "Calvin Albertia, the Jack of our clan or our second in command, told us with the strictest sense to not kill anybody else but the Falador Resistance and you, Sir Raphael."

"Well, I can see why they wouldn't want Uriel to get hurt, considering his past," Elena thought. "But I see no reason why they wouldn't allow you to come after me."

Uriel crossed his arms. "Tck," growled the boy. "Maybe that's his way of being chivalrous."

Anabel drew in breath into her lungs nervously. She seemed like she had something hidden behind her lips. "I..." mumbled the young woman. "...Have reason to believe that the client didn't want her to get hurt."

Elena paused with sort of a surprised look in her eyes. Her face remained as her usual calm look. But her eyes raged with questions and uncertainty. Raphael's face lit up with a smile. He placed his left hand onto her right shoulder. This surprised the young woman, taking her focus. "Thank you very much, Anabel," the young leader thanked. Once he thanked her, he stood up to his feet.

He began to walk away from the woman. Her head quickly followed him and she quickly stood up to her feet. "Sir," she shouted out to him. "Please wait!"

Raphael paused in his footsteps once he heard the voice telling him to wait. He turned his head towards her, his purple irises gazed upon her. "What is it, (co) ma'am?" he responded.

"Could I..." she mumbled. "Could I join the resistance? I... want to have a purpose in my life besides following my brother's ambition to destroy the resistance."

"While I don't believe someone as kind as you should lead such a terrible life," said Raphael. "If you will it to be so, you can join us."

The young woman's face lit up as a smile cracked on her face. She leaned her upper body forward, bowing to Raphael to show respect. "Thank you so much, Sir Raphael," Anabel thanked. "I vow to protect you, my lord."

Raphael rubbed the back of his head with his left hand. "Please, please," said Raphael. "There's really no need to address me so formally!"

Anabel raised herself up. "As you wish, sir," acknowledged Anabel. "As my first duty, I wish to stay back and bury the dead if you don't mind."

Raphael shook his head. "Very well," he responded, allowing her to take her first duty. Raphael reached into a small pouch strapped on the silver ring around his waist. Inside the pouch were three small tele-tabs which would take them back to Lumbridge. Raphael readies one in his left hand, tossing it underhanded over to Elena.

The tablet swayed like a falling leaf in the air and Elena easily catches it with her right hand. Raphael then walked over to Uriel who had his eyes closed and his arms crossed tightly like a pretzel. The young silver haired man held the tablet out in front of him towards Uriel. The boy turned his head away from Raphael. "I don't agree with her joining us," the boy stated softly to Raphael. "She could be a spy."

"Master Malik allowed you to join despite your past, did he not?" mumbled Raphael. "I'm sorry but I believe in giving people a second chance, Uriel. And I'm afraid that you'll need to respect that."

Uriel latched his left hand onto the tablet. "You're so naive," growled Uriel, ripping the tablet out of Raphael's hand. "It's no wonder why you laid under their boot for so long."

Raphael got quite angry with Uriel after that. He allowed the hand of air to enter his bellows to grab onto the anger that had taken him. The jaws of calm latched onto it and released it out of Raphael's body. The young man turned towards Anabel and smiled at her. "You know where to go once you're done here, right?" he asked.

Anabel shook her head. "Mhmm," she answered. "Thank you again, Raphael."

Raphael turned towards the unbothered Telvern. He had stood there reading his book the entire time despite the fact that his so-called comrades were in danger. "Telvern," called Raphael. "Ready to go?"
