<Hm... Aye, I don't think we have even a slight lead besides this, it's all just guesses... Most we could probably do is hope to somehow gain a foothold in the Seekers, which is most unlikely... So if we don't find anything, shall we charge into the Abyss brandishing flaming pointy sticks?>
Forlirn took a deep breath, then strode through the entrance of the ruins. A massive cavern laid beyond the entrance, pervaded with the strange, dark like emanating from the entrance. A great, stone city filled the cavern, stretching farther than the eye could see. From the looks of the ruins, the city had once been composed of great buildings stretching toward the high, vaulted ceiling of the cavern. However, most of these buildings had collapsed, either fallen in on themselves of having fallen over, creating mighty obstructions on the cracked paved roads of the city. Everything was made of stone, varying from a dark grey (slightly darker than the stone of the cavern itself) to black marble. A feeling of lost magnificence filled the ruined city; everything, from the bricks of the buildings to the stones of roads, was intricately carved with a masterful level of craftsmanship, though any meaning in the carvings themselves had long been lost to the passing of time.
The entrance to the ruins seemed to open into the side of the city, rather than at the original entrance. Just where his entrance may have been (or how large the city truly was) was lost, as a large portion of the cavern had collapsed, burying much of the city in a wall of rubble.
Were the two observant enough, they may notice that the commotion seemed to be caused by the man who had been thrown out of the tavern earlier. He appeared to be denouncing the mages as a cult of dragon worshipers and demanding that they be cast out of the city. Nobody seemed to be taking him seriously, but many of the commoners were looking forward to the prospect of a fight breaking out.
