"I see..."Matt said as he slowly placed the weapon in it's holster. "Tell you what uh... Taika, I will trust you if you will trust me. It's safe to assume that you are not one of my groups enemies. So just what exactly.... are you? I can't say i've ever seen one of your kind before."

~He offers me trust? Full of surprises humans are. I could have never seen that coming just a little while ago.~ Taika thought. "I am...a member of a race of those who are near directly related to felines. My clan lived in south Elune. We are born naturally, like a human. We do however, age much slower. It is understandable that you have never seen one of us, as most of my clan was wiped out by an earthquake...and some by their own stupidity. We have the ability to shape-shift from human to cat in Elune, but in Neuva we return to a half-cat form. Also, I am one of the few of us that can use any magic. One other...well, he...was devoted to magic, and nothing else." Taika said, not wanting to think about her younger brother.

"About how long ago was that earthquake that wiped out most of your people? If it was Less than 600 years ago then I might have meet your people sometime in my travels. But back then I was more concerned about my research so I might not have. But back to the real point of the discussion........if you have nowhere else to go then you are welcome to come along with us. We could always use another skilled fighter in our fight against the Seekers. We will understand if you do not accept but I feel that I should extend the invitation anyway. So what do you say? Wanna join up with a bunch of misfits and stop the destruction of both worlds or stay here in this barren tundra?" said Rhen, the misfits part more of a joke than anything but true at the same time.

"The earthquake was...about 100 years ago. If you were traveling southern Elune at an earlier time, there would be a good chance that at some point you ran into one of us." Taika said, recalling what her hometown looked like. "Anyways, if I could have more information on what these 'Seekers' are, I could possibly help you."

"We certainly should treat this other as a threat," Caelidorus said, his frown deepening. "...But we can't let it stop us from defeating Nrilgroth. Not unless we know anything for certain. 'Twould probably be a good idea to ask Soul if we pass through the mountains again when we are done with the ruins. We need information... Especially with something that may be incredibly powerful."
All in all, the city did not seem to take much notice of the convoy. Noble or not, visitors weren't an incredibly rare event.
"I can easily share my extensive records with you in the future," Forlirn murmured to Rhen, eying the direction of the newcomer from a distance. "Unless you can read incredibly quickly, you'll likely need to stay for awhile to look through them all. And to decode them."
"Reminds me of our ability to 'feed' from lightning..." Caelidorus commented at hearing of how Rhen sustains himself. "According to the scholars, we have an organ that stores electricity and changes it to nourishment, and vice versa. 'Tis one reason we have such great endurance... and also why our lightning tires us quickly."
"It would be... unfair... to present our enemies and offer to join the fight so lightly," Forlirn finally said, having been silent throughout much of the conversation. "An organization which likely controls nearly all of Neuva from the shadows headed by an ancient who lords over the Abyss. And that's to say nothing of the dark creatures that follow his every command."

"So that is what these 'Seekers' are..." Taika said, glad to finally have a clear definition of the unusual term. She narrowed her eyes at Forlirn. "You would prefer that I stay distant from you? Understandable. If I were in your place, I too would feel that way. I would be glad to help you, if this...what's your name again? Never mind. If the larger dragon has no objections."

"I agree. We should probably make a point of passing by the Soulbound on our way back and trying to get some information on this other. I think we should continue to view Nrilgroth as our primary threat unless killing him somehow unleashes the other upon the worlds. In a choice between the two, I think I would prefer Nrilgroth." Matt said.
"I think what Forlirn meant was that we should not make the offer of you joining us sound like a pleasant adventure with a bunch of friends. It will be dangerous and some of us are more then likely to die. I doubt he meant that you could not join." Matt said. "By the way, my name is Matthew. The dragon you were talking to is Forlirn. Then you have the green dragon and my best friend, Caelidorus. Finally you have Forlirns two brothers: Frilarth, the big white dragon, and Frilarn, the dragon that looks like a hatchling. By the way, Frilarn has some sort of magical curse placed upon him, so he can't talk and he appears to be smaller then he actually should be."
Eventually, the massive palace that dominated Glaruindem came into sight. It was made entirely of stone and stood an imposing seven stories tall. Surronding the palace was a large stone wall with guards keeping constant vigilence on the goings on nearby. When the carriages came in sight, the gates allowing access into the palace were opened and the convoy passed through. A few nearby peasants attempted to use the chance and enter the palace, but they were easily stopped by the guards.

"Thank you for the more formal introduction uh...Matthew." Taika said, slightly mispronouncing Matt's name. "Even on the high chance of death, I do not withdraw my offer to join you. I have nowhere to go and absolutely no friendly acquaintances whatsoever. I might as well put myself to use, and these 'Seekers' as you have described them seem an especially dangerous lot."

"You're quite welcome Taika. Good to have you with us. Hopefully the rest of our time together is more pleasant then it has been so far. Now lets see.... we were literally about to take off for a bunch of ruins about and hour from here before we ran into you. I'm riding on Caelidorus and Rhen is on Forlirn. Why don't you go on Frilarth? Frilarn is smaller so he shouldn't be a problem. Fair warning though, Frilarth is a bit..... eccentric."

~Eccentric? I'm not sure this sounds like a smart idea. What could he mean by eccentric?~ Taika thought. "Um...sure. I'll ride on Frilarth. Anyways, what do you mean by eccentric?" Taika said, feeling very uncertain about flying on a large, supposedly eccentric, dragon.
