<Eh, I hadn't really considered that, though it makes sense. And yes, it does feel rather odd. I've never worn something like this in my entire life, though it shouldn't be that surprising considering it never gets this cold where I live. I should get used to it though, given enough time...>
"I've told you all I know of the void," Forlirn replied, shaking his head. "It is corruptive, usually in a destructive manner. How it could warp something is beyond my knowledge, for energies of the Abyss tend to be more warping than those of the void. I'd advise you to be cautious, however. It may not seem to have affected your mind, but when twisting energies do not cause sudden changes, as is the case with your arm, they often produce subtle changes. How it would affect your mind exactly... well, it would most likely cause your mind to reflect the nature of the void itself, which I believe would manifest as destructiveness. Keep watch on yourself while you use these energies... or you may lose yourself without realization."

<Yeah, I think you should. Just give yourself a few minutes and you will hardly notice it at all. So where abouts in Elune does your clan live? It must be pretty far south if you don't need anything to keep warm. Either that or your clan simply didn't use anything like blankets to keep warm when it was cold.>
(Hope that both of you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! :) ))

"I will remember that Forlirn. I will keep watch and guard on my mind to make sure it is not lost. For there is much knowledge that I have learned in my life that will be lost if my mind is lost to the void. I know things that could change medical science in Nueva. As you have seen. Lost limbs can be replaced with fully fuctioning mchanical ones and can even be made to function on Elune if one ever wishes to travel there. I appologize for my rambling. But back to your point.........I will be on watch for anything out the ordinary. And to be on the safe side I will refrain from practicing with the void unless I need to defend myself or the group. At least until I have more time to study my mutation and learn more on the void." said Rhen as he replaced his jacket. "Shall we be off to the ruins? Or are we still waiting on something?"

<Oh, we live on about the same latitude as Glaruindem. We tend to prefer cooler temperatures, so we don't really need anything to keep warm. It never gets too cold that far south... though I suppose it might be possible if something odd happened with the usual weather of winter.>
"I don't really see any reason to wait any longer," Forlirn replied, tilting his head lightly. "Though you may wish to obtain another blanket from Frilarth. The winds above the strait are quite brutal and bone-chilling, perhaps even more so than the land on the other side. But if you are fine without, then I suppose we can leave immediately, if everybody is ready."

<Trust me, it is possible for it to suddenly become very cold in your region during the winter. I believe my city would have been farther south than Glaruindem and I can remember winters where you could have sworn that it was summer. At the same time, there were also winters that felt like you were up in the arctic. The worlds can be strange places sometimes.>
"I think I speak for Caelidorus and myself when I say that we are ready. Let us finish our journey to the ruins!" Matt said, having heard the last portion of Forlirn's conversation with Rhen. After saying this, Matt climbed onto Caelidorus's back. This was much more difficult then normal due to the blankets making everything slippery. Matt then wrapped his arms around Caelidorus's neck.
~If what Forlirn says about the strait is true then i'm going to need to keep hold of Caelidorus if I don't want to fall off of him and into the strait.~

"I think I shall be fine. As you said there is no point into waiting any longer." said Rhen as he climbed onto Forlirn's back. "Let us be off. For knowledge awaits us and we should not be the ones to keep such important knowledge burried in the rubble of ruins hidden and unknown."

<Aye, that they certainly can be... though I don't recall any winters harsh enough to be worthy of note. Though I do recall it feeling slightly cooler after coming here than it was on Elune. Perhaps Neuva is naturally somewhat colder than Elune...>
"Then lets us be off," Caelidorus said, slowly standing up and spreading his wings. "Have you got a good grip? I certainly can't do with you falling into a freezing ocean in the middle of flying across."
"Very well," Forlirn replied, spreading his wings and taking to the air. "I'd suggest leaning as close to me as possible then, to reduce the effect of the wind. Of course, you might get a bit frozen to my scales if you do..."

"I shall take your advice." said Rhen as he leaned as close to Forlirn as possible and tightened his grip on Forlirn's neck spike.
~So much knowlwdge could be in those ruins. Knowledge lost to time only waiting to be re-discovered by us. Secrets of the ages that have past await. Oh how I cannot wait to get there and find out what knowledge there is hidden there.~ thought Rhen happily.

<That may be the case. I have no idea why Elune would be warmer then Neuva. Could it have something to do with the magic aura that exists in Elune? If it's not that then perhaps it could have something to do with the technology in Neuva. I had heard that our technology could be having an impact on the world, so I suppose that is possible.>
"Well I'm holding onto you about as well as I can. I have to admit that it is kind of hard to do so with the blanket. It's making it harder to get a good grip. Oh well, if I fall into the ocean then I fall into the ocean. There isn't much we can do about it." Matt replied.
((I've been thinking about giving my character some sort of mental power. I'm not quite sure what sort of abilities I may give him but i'm thinking that I may give him some sort of telekinesis and the ability to mentally communicate with anyone close by or to anyone with extensive powers (such as an ancient.). Would you have a problem with this Darlantan?))

Forlirn blinked slowly, eying the sea as it came into sight. The air above it was filled with an icy mist, preventing the land on the other side from being seen.
<I really don't have the faintest idea. That would probably be a question best answered by Forlirn or Rhen, since they seem to be the ones who would have thought about such a thing. Or perhaps I just imagined it or something of that sort... it's entirely possible.>
"Bah, of course there is," Caelidorus snorted. "I'd just have to make sure to catch you before you hit the water. Of course, I'm not sure how I'd get you back onto my back without landing if that did end up happening..."
Shortly after entering the air above the water, the winds indeed became quite harsh, driving tiny crystals of ice against the group. It wasn't enough to cause any real damage, but would quickly leave any exposed skin quite raw and possibly a bit frost bitten.
((I have no problem with it, though it would probably only have an effect on Elune.))
