"I seek no negotiations with this traveler," Soul replied to Fixszorx, slowly shaking her head. "I do not wish to entangle my children in matters of war beyond our home, for it will not bring them happiness. I only answer his questions and accusations based on false assumption."
"By walking right into it," the mysterious dragon answered, turning around to face Rhen again. "It's certainly not without risk, but such risks are far less dangerous than those of risking Nihil's taint."
<Well... no... it's just something that's usually close to the top of my mind. I've been trained in diplomacy... and a diplomatic incident is something I'd prefer to avoid.>
<I suppose not always... but one must be careful with it, for the line between it's usefulness and harmfulness is a very fine one... and it tends to be crossed more often than not.>
"Then you shall be forever blind to your own mortality," Soul said, the note of sadness returning to her voice. "And if you can not stand beside us against Him, then the world very well may perish."
Caelidorus snorted and rolled his eyes at Matt's comment.
~Really Matt? Rather sacrifice both worlds rather than accept aid from those old enough to have made them? And could have made them for all we know... That is simply beyond ridiculous.~
"Are you some sort of god that things exist simply because you 'allow' them to do so?" Forlirn growled, suddenly jumping into conversation. "Are you truly going to go on statements based on information that you either don't have or simply made up for whatever reason and then proceeded to convince yourself is actual information? Really, Matthew, I only see one being here desiring destruction on anything, and that would be you."
