He is weak to ranged, specifically arrows. He will start by using basic magic, looking similar to Air surge. Prayer is useless, as he is able to penetrate it with 100% effect. Every 15 seconds, he will draw out what looks similar to crystal darts, and use the “rapid fire” ability on you. However, his does not end, so you must stun him to interrupt it. When the stun ends, he will return to his basic magic. Every 40 seconds, he will cast an entangle-like spell, stunning you, and he will turn invisible. After seven seconds, he will turn visible again, right behind you, just in time for him to make a deadly stab to your back. The back stab hits for about 20% of your maximum life points, as well as applying a deadly bleed effect. The best way to avoid this stun and bleed ability, is to use the “freedom” ability when he turns invisible, and run away, leaving him to stun thin air. Eventually, he will die, and at the same time, your allies will kill the enemy Elves.
(Whichever method to progress the quest you chose after Tyras’ death will meet up at this point, so it no longer makes a difference)
When you win the battle, a short cut scene will occur, of several Tyras Guards pushing open the gates of Prifddinas. The screen fades to black, before revealing another cut scene: one last conversation involving Lord Iorworth, this time him talking to a city guard.
Prifddinas city guard: “My lord, the rebels have broken the gate! W-what are we to do?”
Lord Iorworth: “Imbeciles! How did they allow the resistance to break the gate? And where is Spy Master Warlow?!”
Prifddinas city guard: “D-dead my lord! He was a casualty while fighting off the resistance’s attack from under the ground!”

Lord Iorworth: “Under the ground?! They’re attacking from the Temple?! Call the city guard, all of them! STOP THE REBELS!”
Prifddinas city guard: “My lord, the citizens are rioting, lead by an elderly Elf, and the rebel army has three times as many soldiers as we expected! Shouldn’t w-we evacuate the city?”
Lord Iorworth: “No! If I can’t have the city, nobody will!”
Prifddinas city guard: “W-what do you mean?”
Lord Iorworth: “Burn it to the ground! Burn every quadrant except our own to ash!”
Prifddinas city guard: “My lord, that is insane!”
Lord Iorworth: “Insane? INSANE?! Burn it! NOW! And fight the resistance to the death!”
Prifddinas city guard: “As you say, m-my lord.” (Cut scene ends)
The screen fades to black, to reveal you standing at the northern (now opened) gate of Prifddinas, with Lletyan archers, and Iorworth pike men fighting (both unattackable), while you stand right beside Arianwyn. You will notice that the city is burning in flame, with an absent of civilians. Talk to Arianwyn.
Arianwyn: “Blasted Iorworth! He’s trying to bring down the entire city!”
Player: “I can see that! Why is he doing this?”
Arianwyn: “The madman thinks that the only way to defeat the rebels is to burn us alive with his city!”
Player: “We must evacuate the citizens! We can’t let him kill innocents!”
Arianwyn: “I sent my men to do that. They’re currently herding the citizens into the Library, a place to keep them safe from the fire.”
Player: “Then what are we to do about the fire?”
Ar: “Nothing. We need to find Iorworth. The fire may actually work to our benefit, if it brings down the buildings, it will pave room for the crystal buildings.”

P: “Well, where do we find Lord Iorworth?”
Ar: “I’m going to guess to the west side of the city… It seems to be the only part not on fire. Lead on!” (Ends conversation)
Now you need to head to the north-west quadrant of the city. Arianwyn will follow you, carrying his crystal bow. You don’t have to worry about Elf guards, as they’re all rushing away to the north gate. Or deserting. Or both. When you eventually come to Iorworth’s tower, you will find that the doors are wide open. Walk into the tower, and you will notice a staircase on the western wall. Climb up the staircase, and the screen will fade to black, to show a quick cut scene of you and Arianwyn approaching Lord Iorworth standing in front of his crystal throne, with his crystal halberd drawn. A conversation will start.
Lord Iorworth: “Ah, the leader of the rebellion. The honor is all mine.”
Arianwyn: “Stand down, Iorworth. We’ve broken the wall into your city, and your army is scrambled. It’s over.”
Lord Iorworth: “Oh? Is it? Why don’t you look outside? It seems this city will be you and your army’s grave. But you, Player… You had so much potential. If you had simply killed the rebels, we could have worked together, under the flag of the Dark Lord. You may be the single most popular human this world has ever seen* But you decided to aid the resistance. A shame.”
Player: “You’re delusional, Iorworth. I suggest you come in quietly.”
Lord Iorworth: “Oh I don’t think that will be happening any time soon. Guards! Now!*
*Suddenly, four Elf guards will become visible, one in each courner of the room.*
Lord Iorworth: “Now Arianwyn and Player, I suggest YOU surrender.”
Arianwyn: “Oh, I don’t intend to surrender.”

Lord Iorworth: “You will if you wish to live!”
Arianwyn: “I don’t think surrendering will be necessary.”
Player: “He may be right, Arianwyn. Maybe it would be wise to surrender this time.”
Arianwyn: “Oh don’t worry, Player. I’m simply stalling.”
Lord Iorworth: “STALLING? What on Gielinor could you be stalling for…”
Elf guard: “Look! Out the window! WHAT IS THAT!?”
*Suddenly, a large boulder comes crashing through the wall, and falling through the floor, bringing the entire building crashing to the ground. The screen fades to black, only before revealing you standing beside Arianwyn in the ruins of what once was Lord Iorworth’s tower.*
Arianwyn: “Ha ha, see Player? There was no need to surrender!”
Player: “What the… Where did that…?”
Arianwyn: “The boulder? Tyras’ old catapult turned out to be useful after all!”
Player: “Very clever thinking, my friend. But… where is Iorworth?”
*Suddenly, Lord Iorworth climbs out of some rubble*
Lord Iorworth: “Clever trick, rebel. But I’m not finished yet!”
Arianwyn: “Iorworth, now YOU are outnumbered. I suggest you surrender, or will you fight to the death?”
Lord Iorworth: “Ha! I am not so foolish to engage in combat against you two! But I do have a trick up my sleeve. Imagine a weapon made of pure crystal. Imagine this weapon was so powerful and dangerous, that Seren herself dared not use it in war, and so she locked it’s method of creation in an ancient Library, and prevented any mortal from ever retrieving it!”
Arianwyn: “Surely you do not mean…!”
Lord Iorworth: “Yes. The weapon that would single-handily defeat armies. Behold, as I bring it forth to our realm once again!”
*Lord Iorworth drops a small crystal seed to the ground*
Lord Iorworth: “GADAEL Y GRISIAL YN BYW!”

*Suddenly, the crystal seed will become a giant-sized beast made out of pure crystal, known as the Crystalline shapeshifter (level 185) (As seen in Armies of Gielinor)*
Lord Iorworth: “The Crystalline shapeshifter. A being made out of pure, indestructible crystal. It has the ability to eliminate masses, before they are even aware of whom their foe is! And now, I have summoned one. You two have the honor of being the first rebels it will kill in my name!”
*Suddenly two NPCs known as “Iorworth crystal musicians” (Level 120) will teleport behind Lord Iorworth. They are playing Crystal lyres.*
Arianwyn: “Player… This will truly be the battle of ages. Let us defeat it, together!” (Ends conversation)

The Crystalline shapeshifter will begin to attack you with melee and ranged. Both its melee and ranged attacks can hit up to 5000 damage. Using protection prayers will lower this damage to a manageable amount of damage (around 700-1000 damage). It has 70,000 life points, but the true challenge of the fight is due to its defence. It is impenetrable to 100% of the damage you and Arianwyn will do, so it makes it invincible. The way to deal with this is to kill the three “Iorworth crystal musicians” (each has 5,000 life points) who are beside Lord Iorworth (who is invincible at this time, due to him binding himself to the Crystalline shapeshifter). When the two Iorworth crystal musicians die, the Crystalline shapeshifter is vulnerable to 150% of the damage you and Arianwyn do for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds, three more Iorworth crystal musicians will teleport in, and the Crystalline shapeshifter is now invincible once again, until you kill the three Iorworth crystal musicians, it will be vulnerable once against. The process repeats until the Crystalline shapeshifter has been defeated. The Crystalline shapeshifter also has two special abilities, the first is where it will suddenly disappear, and a purple circle will appear under your feet. If you don’t move at least two squares away within 5 seconds, the Crystalline shapeshifter will teleport onto the square you are standing on, dealing 7,500 damage to you. However, if an Iorworth crystal musician is standing on, or is adjacent to the square you were standing on when the purple circle appeared, the Iorworth crystal singer will be instantly killed. The second special ability is where the Crystalline shapeshifter will link a beam of light to one of the Iorworth crystal musicians, and will heal itself by 600 life points every two seconds, and deal 300 life points of damage every two seconds to the Iorworth crystal musician it is connected to. The only way to stop this is to stun the Iorworth crystal musician the I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

Crystalline shapeshifter is connected to, killing the musician in the process. Eventually, when the Crystalline shapeshifter dies, (hopefully, in a dramatic fashion with the shapeshifter fading from existence, and becoming a seed once more) Lord Iorworth will fall unconscious.
Arianwyn: “Well done Player. It looks like the battle is won!”
Player: “What about Iorworth? Is he okay?”
Arianwyn: “I can imagine so. He bound a lot of energy into that creature. If he hadn’t tried to kill me over the centuries, I’d actually feel bad for him.”
*A burning building collapses beside you*
Player: “The city is falling apart. We need to get out of here!”
Arianwyn: “Agreed, Player. I think the time has come we restore this city to its former glory. I imagine my soldiers have gathered up a member of each clan to chant the crystals under the city. I am not a pureblood of any clan, so I am of little use. Here, take this. It belonged to one of the musicians we killed.”
*Arianwyn gives you a crystal lyre*
Player: “An Iorworth Crystal lyre? I don’t think I can play this for the crystal seed**
Arianwyn: “Don’t worry Player, you do not need to make a good noise, just some form of noise! I’m sure it’ll work. Somehow. Now I can’t be of much use. I imagine the army is still battling what’* left of Iorworth’s army. I suppose I could go help out. Good luck, Player. And thank you.” (Ends conversation)
Arianwyn disappears, and you are left alone in the city. Run east, past the recently-opened northern gate (where the unattackable Elves are still fighting). You will need to jump over a few collapsed burning piles of wood, until you finally come to the entrance to the excavation site. Climb down the ladder, to see that this time; the room is filled with many unattackable Elf citizens. Ignore them, and enter the entrance on the west wall, where you will find yourself in the Library. Go to the west entrance again, to find the nine pillars from before. You will notice seven of the pillars will have a

familiar Elf standing next to each one of them: Islwyn, Eluned, Mawrth, the Elf musician (the same one found in the centre of Isafdar), Arvel, Junior Cadet Finda, and Gwir. The only two pillars that do not have someone standing next to them is one of the north-west pillars (right beside Islwyn’s pillar), and the centre pillar with the glowing crystal seed on it. Go over to the north-west pillar, and use your crystal lyre on it. A cut scene will start. I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

You begin to strum your lyre, and while the other Elves all begin to chant. Your pillar will turn black, Islwyn’s will glow white, Eluned’s pillar will glow green, Mawrth’s will glow magenta, the Elf musician’s will glow yellow, Arvel’s will glow blue, Junior Cadet Finda’s will glow red, and Gwir’s will glow cyan. Above the ground, the crystal towers in the courners of Prifddinas will begin to glow as well. The north-west ones will glow white, and the other black. The north-east ones will glow green, and the other magenta. The south-east ones will glow yellow, and the other blue. The south-west ones will glow red, and the other cyan. Underground again, each of the pillars will release a beam of light of their colour, and shine it into the centre pillar, which will glow a bright white. Above ground once more, the eight crystal towers will also shine a beam of light of their colour into the crystal seed at the centre of the city. Suddenly, the seed will shine a bright white, before the entire screen turns white. The screen changes to Seren’s cave, where her skin begins to change from its pale grey, to a bright white, and she stands up, with a new sense of energy. The cut scene ends, bringing you back to the nine pillars, with each of pillars being void of their crystals. You may now return to the surface of Prifddinas, where hopefully, you will like what you see. I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

Much like when you first entered Prifddinas, there will be a cut scene overview of Prifddinas, this time, showing a beautiful city of pure, shining crystal. The Elf citizens that were hiding in the excavation site are now pouring into the city, looking around, in a daze of the beauty of their city. At the centre of their city, stands a large tower (about as tall as the Dark Wizard’s tower); the Tower of Voices. The cut scene will have you walk up to the tower of voices, where Arianwyn is waiting for you, with Lord Iorworth in handcuffs standing beside him. Gwir, Junior Cadet Finda, Islwyn, and Eluned soon follow you. Tyras Guards, Trachwant Clan mages, and Lletyan Elf warriors soon enter through the north gate, joined by Iorworth Clan warriors, who are all in awe of the crystal city. The cut scene continues with you, Arianwyn, Junior Cadet Finda, Eluned, and Islwyn climb to the top floor of the Tower of Voices, to see a view of all of Prifddinas. The cut scene then ends with Arianwyn talking to you.
Arianwyn: “We… We have finally done it. I never thought I’d live to see the day Prifddinas was free.”
Junior Cadet Finda: “I never thought I’d live to see Prifddinas at all.”
Islwyn: “As odd as it feels to be alongside a human while I stand in our city for the first time, I am honored all the same.”
