Arianwyn: “Player! I don’t know what you did, but in a moment, my mind restored to clarity!”
Gwir: “I think what Arianwyn is trying to say is* What did you find in that cave?”
Player options: 1: “You probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you…”
Arianwyn: “No, please, tell us!”
Player: “Well, I went into a cave, solved a puzzle, and met a woman who said she was Seren…”
2: “I met Seren!”
(Both options lead to this next line of dialogue)
Gwir: “Seren! I have read countless books that brought me to the theory that perhaps Seren may still be in Gielinor! Now I know all my years of study are…”
Arianwyn: “Wait a minute Gwir. Player, are you saying you actually met our Goddess?”
P: “Yes. When I first encountered her, she was paralysed in a massive crystal. She said she wished to hibernate so her followers would forget about her**
**: “Massive crystal? Well, that sounds like Seren… But I don’t understand. All gods were banished by Guthix!”
P: “Well, according to her, she was not banished, but by paralysing herself, she made everyone think she had left Gielinor**
**: “Well, this certainly changes everything! With her, we may not even need to fight. The Iorworth Clan will see her power, and realise that Lord Iorworth was wrong…”
P: “No. She said she cannot interfere. She had promised centuries ago to no longer interfere with the lives of mortals.”
Gwir: “I was afraid you would say that…”
Ar: “Can’t help us? Well, it is good to know she is on our side.”
P: “However, she did tell me something useful: How to restore the city to its crystal form.”

Ar: “Yes, that occurred to me as a problem… What did she say?”
P: “Under the city, there are nine pillars, each with a crystal seed laying on them. Eight of the pillars are connected to the Elf clans. Each crystal seed must be chanted by a member of the clan they are connected to. When the eight pillars are chanted to, the city’s crystal seed will regrow**
**: “Well, that did*’t make much sense… But it does sound like it could work.”
Junior Cadet Finda: “So, we need to find an Elf from each clan to chant the seeds? That doesn’t sound too hard**
**: “Yes, let’s see… Eluned is of the Ithell Clan. Islwyn is of the Cadarn Clan, Finda, you’re from Trachwant Clan…”
Gw: “I’m a member of the Ddewr Clan… I’ll ask some people of Lletya about what clan they’re from…”
P: “But what about the Iorworth Clan? No Elf from that clan will chant to the crystal seed.*
**: “If the siege goes well, we could take one as a prisoner and…”
P: “No. Seren was very adamant that would not work. The chanting must be of free will**
**: “That could cause some problems**
**: “Perhaps we could try a crystal musical instrument?”
Ar: “That’s an idea. Player, do you know how to use crystal instruments?”
P: “Yes, I have some experience with crystal bowls and chimes. They imitate the sound of a crystal chant. You’re proposing I find a crystal instrument mimicking the chant of the Iorworth Clan, and use it on the crystal seed under the city?”

Ar: “Precisely. I’m sure there is a crystal bowl or something somewhere in the city with an Iorworth chant to it… Perhaps you could use that.”
P: “I suppose I could assist in that**
**: “Yes, speaking of assist, I suppose we should discuss battle plans. I am going to lead a small squad of the rebellion’s best men through the Temple of Light, and attack from the city from within, with the goal of capturing Lord Iorworth. Meanwhile, Finda and Tyras will be mobilising our army against the northern wall of Prifddinas, drawing away the attention of the the enemy army, so my squad shouldn’t face much opposition.”
P: “Where do I come in?”
Ar: “Tyras said he had a plan for you! In fact, you should tell him you’ve arrived. He’s been in his tent all day.”
P: “All right, sounds good!” (Ends conversation)
Walk on over to King Tyras’ tent, and open the flap. It will start a cutscene.
The cut scene starts by the Camp Tyras catapult. A translucent man walks by (similar to someone wearing ghostly robes), and uses a blackjack to knock out the Tyras guard next to the catapult (the shirtless one). The ghostly man then cranks up the catapult, and loads it with a strange barrel, before lighting something on the barrel. He then launches the catapult, with the barrel flying into the sky… and landing on King Tyras’ tent. The tent goes up in flames, (yes, exactly like in Regicide), while you’re standing right outside the tent. The cut scene then ends, for the tent to be replaced by a pile of ashes, with a charred skeleton lying in the ashes. A conversation starts.

Arianwyn: “TYRAS!”
Player: “Wha-what just happened? And why do I have a feeling I’ve seen all this before?”
Gwir: “Oh how tragically ironic!”
Arianwyn: “Guard- go search the perimeter for assassins!”
Tyras Guard: “I-I’m not sure if I’m supposed to take orders from you, now that my King is dead.”
Arianwyn: “What? You don’t take orders from anyone but your King?”
Tyras Guard: “Well, no. The only exception was for us to take orders from the Kings-next-in-command.”
Arianwyn: “And who is that?”
Tyras Guard: “Player, sir.”
Player: “Wait, I am Tyras’ next-in-command?”
Tyras Guard: “Yes sir/mam. He said that he saw you as a hero that saved us from destruction, and helped protect his city while he was away. Technically, you’re the new general of the West Ardougne army.”
Arianwyn: “Tyras placed his trust in you, Player. I believe it was well placed.”
Player: “Well… Then we continue what Tyras would have wanted. We assault Prifddinas. Arianwyn and Finda will be your superior command as well.”
Tyras Guard: “Yes sir! I’ll prepare for the battle.”
Arianwyn: “Well done, Player. But Tyras’ death does have one major effect for us… We no longer have a general for the siege of Prifddinas. Finda, can you lead the army?”
Junior Cadet Finda: “ME? Leading an army!? Well, I appreciate the offer, but I was with A.R.M.S. for decades, and was never promoted above Junior Cadet. I can try, but I believe I will need Player’s help to mobilise the army!”
Ar: “An interesting idea, but I need Player to assist in the battle under Prifddinas.”
JCF: “But without him/her, we’re doomed!”
Ar: “I doubt that. On the other hand, we need Player, as he/she has the most experience with combat.”
JCF: “But you do not*!*
Gwir: “Enough! Just let Player decide!”
Ar: “You’re right, Gwir.”
JCF: “So Player, what will it be? Will you join me, and mobilise the armies in the Siege of Prifddinas?”
Ar: “Or do you wish to join me, and engage in the battle under Prifddinas?”

Player options: 1: “I’ll join Finda, and take command of the siege.”
2: “I’ll help Arianwyn, and battle my way under Prifddinas.”
(Important note: This choice does not affect the dialogue, but it does heavily affect the rest of the quest!)
Arianwyn: “Very well then. I hope this decision will not negatively affect our mission in the long run…”
Gwir: “It was Player’s choice. Now respect it.”
Arianwyn: “Yes, you’re right. Player, it is a good idea to resupply now: I doubt you’ll have a chance in Prifddinas. All right men, get ready for battle!”
(Now the quest will split off to two parts. I’ll start with the part if you chose to assist Finda.)
Arianwyn: “Player, I recommend you discuss the siege with Finda. Good luck, I’ll see you on the other side.” (Ends conversation)
*Arianwyn teleports away*
Now talk to Finda. (I suggest you take Arianwyn’s advice, and see a bank for resupply!)
Junior Cadet Finda: “Player, I mean, sir, looks like we should plan for the invasion.”
Player: “Agreed. What advantages do we have?”
Junior Cadet Finda: “Well, our army is divided into three different types of soldiers: melee-using Tyras Guards, ranged-using Lletya Archers, and my clan’s magic-using Mercenary Elves. We will need to know our strengths and weaknesses to win this battle. We also have Tyras’ catapult to help us break the city gate, but I can’t imagine it to be very effective.”
Player: “Anything else?”
Junior Cadet Finda: “The Lord Marshall back at A.R.M.S. supplied me with five Dwarf Cannons to help dispose of the enemies. I hope they’re helpful.”

Player: “That could be helpful.”
Junior Cadet Finda: “Finally, our last advantage is the location. Our landing ships will dock to the north of the city; a large open field, according to our scouts. The north gate is also close the quadrant of the city where Lord Iorworth himself lives.”
Player: “Is that everything?”
Junior Cadet Finda: “I’d imagine so! Just let me know when you’re ready to siege the city, and I’ll have the soldiers board the landing ships.”
Player options: 1: “I’m not ready yet.” (Ends conversation, returning to Finda will make her offer if you want to start the siege)
2: “I’m ready.”
JCF: “All right! I’ll prepare the soldiers!” (Ends conversation)
*The screen fades to black, to show another conversation between Spy Master Warlow and Lord Iorworth.*
Spy Master Warlow: “My lord, I have dealt with King Tyras.”
Lord Iorworth: “Excellent. That should set back the rebels.”
Spy Master Warlow: “Not as much as we thought. There is a large rebel fleet amassing to the west.”
Lord Iorworth: “Yes, I expected as much. Prepare the army, and tell them to protect the north gate with their lives. Also, be sure to tell them to show no mercy.” (Cut scene ends)

Another cut scene will occur, this one much different. This one is of four landing ships sailing at sea, and then docking to the north coast of Prifddinas, right beside a large open field. The landing ships will open and soldiers will start to step out. One lander has Elves wearing Lletya colours on their uniforms and holding crystal bows, one lander has Tyras Guards, wielding their halberds, the third lander has Elves wearing purple robes carrying staves, and the fourth and final lander has the catapult aboard. The cutscene changes to show the massive gates of Prifddinas being physically pushed open by Elves, until it slowly creaks open, and out marching very many Elves in Iorworth Clan colours. The cutscene changes once again to the Temple of Light’s entrance, where Arianwyn is entering the temple, with his crystal bow, and four Elf pike men wearing the colours of Lletya follow. The cut scene then ends, and the screen fades to black.
You will now be playing a siege-like scenario of mobilising armies! (I know questers, not everyone likes the minigame, but I left lots of hints saying that if you chose Finda you’ll be ‘mobilisng the army’!) The game is slightly different than usual though- You will have three “Tyras Guard” squads, which have identical stats to heavy Dwarf units in M.A., three “Lletyan Archers” squads, which have identical stats to heavy Goblin units in M.A., and four “Mercenary Elf” squads, which have identical stats to Elf squads in M.A. You will also start with a catapult, instead of having to build one. There are two piles of rocks by the catapult. The enemy has ten units as well, there units being: three “Iorworth Pike men” squads, which have identical stats to heavy Dwarf units in M.A., three “Iorworth Archers” squads, which have identical stats to heavy Goblin units in M.A., and four “Iorworth Mages” squads, which have identical stats to heavy Elf units in M.A. As you can see, you’re evenly matched. The map is slightly different too, the entire

southern half of the map is covered by Prifddinas' wall and instead of M.A.’s castle, your battle will have the Prifddinas gate you need to break. The enemy army will stand right in front of the wall, while your army is to the north, at the coast. The computer’s strategy is to simply throw all its units against yours, each of its units targeting a random unit of yours, so they will be trying to create a one-versus-one battle with each of your squads. When it comes to special units, all you have is five uses of the “cannon” ability, which can be, as normal, pointed in any direction you wish. There are two objectives, you can either kill off the entire enemy army, OR bring down the Prifddinas gate. Either one of the two objectives will count as a victory. In case of defeat, you will find yourself back at the Tyras Camp, and you will need to talk to Junior Cadet Finda to try again (you will not have to watch the cut scene again).
I will now discuss what will happen if you chose to assist Arianwyn.
(At the Tyras camp, in case you forgot)
Arianwyn: “Well Player, looks like it’s time for battle. I suggest you resupply, or if you’re ready, I can teleport us there now.*
Player options: 1: “No, I’m not ready.” (Ends conversation, returning to Arianwyn will offer to teleport you when you return.)
2: “I’m ready, teleport me.”
Arianwyn teleports you, and when you arrive at the Temple’s entrance (same place you teleported to in Within the Light), the screen fades to black, and another conversation between Lord Iorworth and Spy Master Warlow will occur.
Spy Master Warlow: “My lord, I have dealt with King Tyras.”

Another cut scene will occur, this one much different. This one is of four landing ships sailing at sea, and then docking to the north coast of Priffindas, right beside a large open field. The landing ships will open and soldiers will start to step out. Follow Arianwyn into the Temple. His guards and he are already at the Death Altar mysterious ruin’s entrance. Talk to Arianwyn.
Arianwyn: “All right Player, you know the drill! My warriors and I will meet you Within the Light, but you get in there first. Here, take this Death Talisman.”
*Arianwyn gives you a Death Talisman*
Arianwyn: “See you within the light!” (Ends conversation)
Enter the Death temple, and ask Thorgol to get onto the Death Altar. When you are charged with the Death Altar’s energy, run out of the Death Temple, and head through the Temple of Light, like usual. Touch the large white crystal on the top floor, run back, and touch the charged pillar. When you’re teleported to within the

the light, in a few seconds, Arianwyn and his four soldiers will also appear through the portal. Arianwyn will talk to you.
Arianwyn: “So this is the realm within the light! It’s marvelous! Now, where do we head to enter Prifddinas?”
Player: “It’s right through that corridor.”
Arianwyn: “The infamous corridor of light. Once we’re through it, prepare for battle.” (Ends conversation)
Enter through the corridor. You will see two Iorworth Clan Elf Archers, and one unarmed Elf in Iorworth Clan colours. The Elf Archers will yell at the unarmed Elf:
Elf Archer: “What the… It’s the rebels! Go get us reinforcements!”
*The unarmed Elf runs up the corridor, into Prifdinnas.*
Elf Archer: “Hold them off!” (Ends conversation)
The battle then starts. Arianwyn and his four pike men will assist you in killing the two enemy Elf Archers (each level 150) , so they should not be much difficulty. When the second one dies, three enemy Elf pike men (level 160) will come through as reinforcements. Arianwyn and his four pike men will still help, but this time, the enemy pike men will focus only on you, so you’ll be taking some damage. As they die, two enemy Elf pike men (level 150) and three enemy Elf Archers (level 160) will come into the corridor. Each one will focus on one of your allies, and the boss will come through specifically for you to fight: Spy Master Warlow (level 175). He wields a crystal shield, and a crystal dagger (similar to the Elf Tracker boss early in the quest).
