I'm glad there are at least three people using this thread, so hopefully it'll be alive :)

Is there a rule against me using another account and making a whole different bio to see how I can improve on both?

Give him a day or so. He's always really good about getting back to people. It just wouldn't surprise me that he may be bogged down a little with the semester recently resuming. Good luck with your second attempt, Zmaster. :)

^ Yam, you're spot-on. I just took a five-hour drive back to my college today, and I've spent a little time doing catching up with everyone I haven't seen for a while. I'll have some time tomorrow because of MLK day (my college takes it off) and I'll give it a look over. From a brief glimpse it seems like you've improved a great deal.

Well, I finished my expansion of the bio. It is quite a stretch though, so I spaced it out, and I could not find the time to expand every category, less ramble on for way too long, so don't worry about giving me too much feedback about what already exists in your previous comments; you've already got a lot to do I'm sure. I look forward to the next assignment.

– Birth Date: 400? (Age 33. Set in the future RuneScape where Kingdoms have abandoned their allegiances)
– Place of Birth: Catherby
– Residence: Fight Arena, Falador, Varrock
– Height: 6’3”
– Weight: 222 lbs.
– Clothing Styles: Dark brown cloth trousers and shirt. Anything better than that is not available to him.
– Skin Color: Pale.
– Hair Color: Dark brown.
– Hair Length: Medium, but thick and bushy.
– Eye Color: Absent due to aniridia by birth, so it appears to be black.
– Handedness: Ambidextrous.
– Jewelry: Magnus does not wear anything rich or fancy, unable to afford it, though he does own jewellery, acquired by loot and stored in Khazard's Fight Arena, and plans to sell it (but he ends up losing it all).

– Tattoos: None, though he does have a few self-inflicted mutilation on his chest and belly that look like tattoos; he used a knife to carve images of swirling patterns, believing that the images offer some sort of power. Or perhaps it's something to end his boredom and depression.

– General Appearance: Taller than most, Magnus has a rather long face, and his jawline makes his head look somewhat oval for the lower half. Accustomed to a rigid, violent life, this man is dirty, messy, smelly, and has a deformed eye due to repeat swelling of his right eyebrow from fighting, so it is half-closed and will be for a long time. He is developing cauliflower ears, his nose bridge is crooked, and his lips are cracked. Like his eyes, his cheekbones are somewhat pronounced from repeat swelling. The fingernails of this mutt are cracked and chewed, but clean, Magnus having a habit of using his canines to scrape dirt from beneath his fingernails, the skin suffering similarly. Overall he is strong and has a slim torso, is long-legged, has strong arms (particularly large triceps) and legs, but has a soft belly.

Like other Khazard troopers, he wears "black" Khazard armour, armour that was left unpolished and not grounded, consisting of a breastplate, backplate (armour for the back, strapped to the breastplate at the shoulders and sides), gamboised cuisses (padded garments for the legs, with a steel cap defence for the knee), jack chains (lengths of steel, connected by discs, to protect the outer arm), barbote (a large defence for the throat and lower face, having a falling lame and eye sights. The defence connects to the top of the breastplate), morion, plackart (a reinforcing plate that connects to the front of the lower half of the breastplate), faulds (horizontal lames, connected to the bottom edge of the breastplate, to protect the abdomen and thighs), gussets (lengths of chainmail sewn into the arming jacket to cover armpits and other vital areas where the plate armour does not cover), and spaulders (laminated plates to protect the shoulders). Beneath the armour, he wears an arming cap (a cloth covering for the head to make wearing a helm more comfortable and bearable) and an arming jacket (a stuffed jacket).

His weapon of choice is a two-handed godenak (a sword, absent of quillons, with a narrow forte but widening towards the top; it has two tips, and between the tips is a wide, short U-shaped curve. On the backside of the tip are two concave openings, one atop the other), but also carries a bar mace (a bludgeoning weapon with an X-shaped cross-section bar as a head, giving it the look of a strange sword) and dagger as sidearms. He is also adequate in the use of crossbow, which fortunately does not require much skill. Experienced in fighting, but untrained.

– Key Family / Relatives: Most of Magnus’ family are alive but dispersed. He has no children and is unable to find himself in a relationship with a woman, causing him to question himself. He likes women, but is not interested in partnership, finding women he met unattractive. Perhaps he believes he will find a princess one day.

– Relationship with Family: Although he cares about his family, especially his younger brother Knud, he is prone to quick insults and arguments with them. Magnus has a love-hate relationship with his older brother, Jans, and both parents, Magnus and Erna.

– Key Friends: Not many would think of being friends with Magnus, and these men have been long gone, and he is unsure of their fate; he speculates that they fell in battle, were executed, or deserted. His friends were similar in appearance and attitude as he was, and their names were Ivan, Bartek, Johan, Varg and Farkas; they all disappeared the same day after a skirmish when trolls wandered unusually farther than Relleka, and coincidentally a detachment of Khazard troopers were in that area too for raiding, though instead of finding easy pickings, they stumbled upon trolls. Farkas and Johan returned, mentioning that Varg probably survived, but did not know what happened to him. Farkas and Johan disappeared several days later mysteriously, leading to Magnus' speculations.

– Relationship with Friends: Despite being untrustworthy and suspicious, he will defend his friends as long as they are able to fend for themselves; he does not believe it worthwhile to be friends with a weakling or a doomed person. Generally, his emotion for friends is short-term; if they die, he moves on.

– Key Enemies: Whoever Khazard’s coalition must fight, though Magnus has considered rebelling. Outside of his military service, he probably would not be a man with grudges, though would always be open to doing his job.

– Relationship with Enemies: Having little thought of personal safety of himself and others, he does not consider much for anyone.

– Educational History: Growing up in a humble fishing village with split parents and a broken family, Magnus had little educational upbringing, and instead often got into conflict with local bullies, other children, guards, thugs and thieves, and earned a controversial reputation. He had arbitrary reasons to get into little fights, ranging from random attacks to welcoming conflicts with others.

– Work History (and story): Ever since a young man, Magnus served as a bouncer in his teens and then a guard due as a young adult to his height, and when he reached his mid-twenties, stumbled upon Khazard troopers running to the village to escape bandits. The Khazard troopers seemed to have deserted and ended up in another problem, so Magnus quickly assembled Catherby’s militia to help the Khazard troopers and fight-off the bandits. Eager to leave his home to escape memories, he followed the troopers to Khazard’s encampment, whilst the militia returned home.

For some time, he participated in pillaging and guarding, until he and his detachment stumbled upon Trolls in Relleka. The fighting did not last long; Trolls, being large and slow, were easy targets for large weapons, though when big Trolls appeared, the troopers lost hope and retreated; Magnus lost some friends, two reappeared but then disappeared (as mentioned above). When they returned to the Fight Arena empty-handed, they were disciplined by captains, and punished by being put into stocks. Upset and embarrassed, Magnus decided to rebel, gathering support from several others, though Khazard found out and Magnus fled in midnight, and is unsure of the fates of the other supporters. Magnus returned home to Catherby with nothing but his armour and weapons. Disappointed in further family troubles, he found another opportunity, and was hired to protect a caravan that was travelling eastward. The caravan passed Wolf Mountain during a snowstorm, lost some supplies and people to the snow and wolves, but nonetheless arrived to the other side.

The caravan was then ambushed by outlanders and deserters from the Wilderness and nearby lands. The skirmish lasted only a few minutes, and the raiders even had plate-armoured cavalrymen; thus, the caravan was easily torn asunder and the survivors ran for their lives, abandoning the goods. Magnus' armour saved him, but was captured like many others. Fortunately, Varg happened to be with this Free Company (which numbered at about two hundred men), and recognizing Magnus, Varg took him along their ranks, and Magnus had no objection. The captured were ransomed within a year, and during the year, Magnus and his friends served as highwaymen, brigands, raiders, cutthroats and mercenaries. Hired by the Kingdome of Falador to stop being a nuisance but to be a problem to neighbouring lands of humans, goblins, dwarves, Monks of Zamorak, and anything else worth ransacking, the company was successful in its new career.
