Chapter 15: The Blade Versus the Claw (I told you I had a typing mood. -.-)

After a massive slaughter of Raven Reapers, Marcello entered the kingdom with his brother Ba'al, who had intentions to reveal Salomon's "darkest secrets" to Marcello. When the two entered the castle, carcasses of Holy Kingdom knights covered the floor. Marcello's eyes widened when he saw a body of a Demonic Capital knight in the middle of the room.

He walked over then knelled down. "A Demonic Capital knight? But why?" he mumbled.

"They seek retribution." replied Ba'al.

"For what?"

"You killing their High Knight."

Marcello stood back to his feet. "Yeah. That seems to make sense."

After that brief conversation, the two continue on to Salomon's room. They went up the stairs and saw several Demonic Capital knights blocking the way through the hallway. They saw Marcello and immediately drew their swords. However, a single hand halted them from attacking. The hand came from a man with orange gelled back hair.

He seemed to be a higher ranked knight compared to the others. "Ahh. So, you're Marcello Saif-Al-Din." the knight said. But then his eyes turned to Ba'al. His dark black eyes widened when he saw him. "The Crimson Reaper!" The other knights look at each other.

"He opposes us." a familiar voice said. From the crowd appeared Raven.

The higher knight looked at Raven with a serious expression. "But sir! My father will kill me if I dare feel hostile towards Ba'al!"

Raven looks at the knight. "Your father put me in charge and I order you and your men to attack. Now, do you understand Prince Yamiyn?"

Yamiyn grit his teeth in frustration. But then sighed and drew his blade. "Let's be quick with this."

Marcello and Ba'al ready themselves. The soldiers charge at the two. "Ready?" asked Marcello. His brother nods his head briefly. The front knights get the first attack, they swing their swords at the two brothers.

Marcello blocked the knight's attack while Ba'al kills his attacking knight with ease. Marcello kicks his attacking knight to the floor. When that knight was on the ground, Marcello stabs the knight's upper back. Marcello charges at the next knight, Marcello swings his sword at that knight. The knight blocks with his Rune Kiteshield. Marcello's brother appears behind the blocking knight, and impales the back of the knight's head with his Dragon Claw.

He lifts the body of the knight with his claw still impaled and throws it over to the incoming knights. Three of the knights are hit while the others dodge it. Marcello and Ba'al charge at the knights side-to-side. Marcello swings his sword at the knight in-front of him. The knight blocks and pushes Marcello to the ground.

While Ba'al was dealing with one knight. Another knight was creeping towards him from the side. When the creeping knight swung his sword at Ba'al, he jumped out of the way and the knight's sword cuts the knight that pushed Marcello to the ground. This was a big enough distraction for Marcello to get back to his feet and impale the knight.

The angry sneaky knight charged at Marcello. However, he felt something impaling him from behind. When the knight looked back, he saw Ba'al 's scythe in his back, the Crimson Reaper had thrown it like a Frisbee. He jumps and landed on the ground right next to the knight, impaled the knight's neck, and collected his scythe.

Marcello saw a knight was coming towards him with a spear. Marcello grabbed the spear, kicked the knight's hand, took the spear, and impaled the knight in the gut. He dropped the spear. As quick as it began, it was over. Yamiyn shuffled his head, from Ba'al to Marcello. Yamiyn dropped his sword, his hand shook so bad.

Marcello looked at Raven, his hands shook as well. "Well, looks like it's over for you Raven." he stated.

"N-no! You were suppose to die!" Raven shuddered.

"Sorry Salomon, it's over." replied Ba'al.

"I-I can't die!" Raven hasted towards another room. He tripped once, he was terrified. He quickly got back to his feet and continued to run away.

Marcello looks at Ba'al. "C'mon! Raven's getting away!" he shouted. The two forgot about Yamiyn and went after Raven. The way Raven went lead to a large balcony. It was a dead end for him. Once he reached to the edge of the balcony, he turned around and saw the two.

His legs and hands shook uncontrollably. "T-this can't be happening!"

"But it is. You deserve death for the things you've done." Marcello replied.

"I-I'm the Headmaster of the Raven Reapers! I'm n-not meant to die!!"

"It's time you face the god you pray to, Salomon." stated Ba'al.

Raven fell to his knees. "P-p-please don't!" he begged.

Marcello looked at Ba'al. "Should we?"

"Yes." Marcello walks over to Raven and places his hand on Raven's mask. "You showed no repentance for the unforgivable sins that you have committed. Forgive me for this, but this is the end of your life. May you rest well."

Meanwhile, with the others. They were outside the castle, not knowing what goes on with Marcello. They were busy looking for innocent people. But it seemed the once beautiful buildings held no life. It was a burnt ghost town. But from top of a chapel, the boy Lev watched the group in their search for life.

"What a bunch of helpless dogs." Lev said. "Don't you agree?"

Vezyfher was right behind Lev. He looked at Lev. "Hey, I maybe an Assassin, but that doesn't mean I talk down upon my enemies." he replied.

"You're only saying that because they have a girl with them."

"Ahh. But a very beautiful young woman, you forgot to add that."

Lev rolled his eyes. "Whatever." he stood to his feet. "Well, I'm leaving."

Vezyfher reloaded the darts in his semiautomatic dartgun. "Ciao." he bids farewell. Lev jumped from the top of the chapel. He teleported in midair.

And he appears on the roof of the nearest building near the group. Aries knew Lev had appeared there. So, he throws his axe with little warning. Lev jumps out of the way with the axe cutting a piece of his hair.

Like a boomerang, Aries' Dragon Battleaxe returns to his hand. Lev landed back on the roof, sitting down with his legs crossed. "Man, somebody woke from the wrong side of the bed." Lev said.

Everybody looked up and saw Lev. "It's that boy again." Janak mumbled.

"My name isn't 'boy'. To me, you're the real boy."

"Huh? You only look like a thirteen-year-old."

"Ha. Don't let my appearance fool you. I'm actually one-thousand-years-old." Lev sighed. "Well, I'm bored. Time to have fun!" Lev disappeared. A shadow entered Janak's body. Janak fell to his knees and his eyes quickly changed to red. He got to his feet and looked at Sarah with a smile.

"I'm not as weak as Acubens. I'm MUCH stronger than he was." he said in Janak's voice. Lev drew Janak's sword, Urteil. He charged at Sarah. Visdin quickly drew his rapier and guarded Sarah. Janak slashed his sword at Visdin. Visdin blocked his attack. Logan turned Janak around and punched him right in the face.

Lev escaped Janak's body and reappeared several feet away right before he got punched. So, Logan just punched Janak for no reason. Janak sat up from the ground after being punched. Sarah knelled down to make sure he's alright. He rubbed the back of his head as he stared up at Logan. "Ouch, what did I ever do to you?" he asked Logan.

Logan extended his left hand out to Janak. "Forgive me Master Janak." Janak grabbed Logan's hand and Logan pulls Janak back to his feet. A dart is suddenly shot at Aries, he heard it coming so he dodged it. Aries looks at where the dart was shot and saw Vezyfher.

Suddenly, Janak felt something. He pushed Sarah and Visdin away. He braced himself for something, a large blunt rock shot from the ground and hits Janak right in the gut. He flew several feet once impacted. He hits the ground hard, he lands on his back but he flips over to his front.

Sarah rushed over, concerned about Janak. "Are you alright!?" she asked with a raised voice. Sarah flipped Janak over, and saw his eyes were closed but he was still breathing.

"Aww, damn. I was hoping he would get killed." Nyx suddenly appeared with a group of captured Albalis. The group surrounded Logan and Visdin. Nyx began to fight with Sarah, while Aries fought Vezyfher. Which leaves Darien to fight Lev. Their battles have been chosen.

Back with Marcello and Ba'al. Marcello walks over to Raven and places his hand on Raven's mask. "You showed no repentance for the unforgivable sins that you have committed. Forgive me for this, but this is the end of your life. May you rest well. Now, reveal your face, sinner!" Marcello ripped Raven's mask off his face and throws it away.

It hits the ground. Now the two were able to see Raven's actual face. But Ba'al seemed shocked when he saw who was under the mask. And Marcello seemed shocked and angry. He was..

*BOOM! CLIFFHANGER!!*
