"I think..." said the young man, "He's at some sort of temple."

"And what the heck is he doing there?" questioned the doll.

"Dunno, something about dealing with an issue which could cause a snag in his plans..."

"That's more important than a extremely powerful demon getting loose in a major city?!" demanded the doll.

“Apparently...” replied the young man, “He said the demon would add some spice, and allow “the journey to move forward.” But the snag could put a halt in it.”

The doll groaned and slapped it's forehead. Then turning to the young man said, “Einsem?”

“Yes?” the young man replied.

“Remind me to murder him when he gets back.”

Exactly what I was guessing. Glad to know I can still make some predictions accurately. Interesting about the demon and Zamorakians, wonder what will happen. And who might be this new player? or is it someone we already know. I'm already ready for more heh.

Well, I just got back and finished reading. Not much to say though, so on my way. "There is no Good or Evil, no Light or Dark, Order or Chaos. Just knowledge and your own ability to know when to stop. And if you knew when to stop, you'd never achieve the impossible."

Is that a good thing or a bad thing, Sanity? ^^;

Oh, and a little update...

There is a rumor (note, that at this time it is just a rumor, a believable rumor, but a rumor) that Jagex is considering/planning on adding a new "no defacing Jagex" rule.

Presuming the rumor is true, depending on how it's enforced, there is a slim possibility that a certain author might make a criticism which is seen as "defacing Jagex" and summarily banned. As I said, the chances of this are slim, BUT just in case, I am trying to figure out what I should do with this story in the unlikely event my account gets a forum ban.

(And I have a lot of opinions on this rumored rule and why Jagex probably feels they need it, but this is not the time or place for airing those thoughts ;) )

Okay I understood during midterm because I was rather busy and didn't really have the spare time to post(although I would have made time to read). Now, however, is time for you to add sir. Else I will have to call upon my angry mob.

The priest awoke in darkness so deep that even his Skotun eyes could not penetrate it. Sitting up, he tried to shake off the grogginess that comes from sleeping too long, and get his bearings. The fog surrounding his mind slowly gave way, and flashes of memory returned to him. He had been injured, close to death...

Trying to focus, he noticed that the darkness around him was thick to point where it could be felt... for a moment he had thought whoever had brought him here had placed a blanket over him. Moving his hand to his injuries, he realized they had been healed entirely... powerful magic was at work here. Either that or...

Bolting upright, his ears pricked up for any sound, and quickly focused on one... a small whispering which filled the air. Turning pale, the priest prostrated himself in reverence to the god.

A voice filled the room, seeming to come from every direction at once. “Rise, my son.” the voice said.

Still pale, the priest did as he was told, and sat waiting. He did not try to find the source of the voice, knowing such a thing would be pointless. Aither and Ananke were known for taking mortal form when talking to mortals; but Khaos, who detested anything which restrained her, and Erebos, who considered taking a form as a way to ensure mortals would draw false conclusions about himself, did not.

The priest was well aware of this, and knew that the darkness surrounding him did not conceal Erebos, it was Erebos, supreme god of all darkness.

“The warlock king has appeared in a mortal realm,” said the dark god. “You know what he seeks, do you not?*

The priest nodded, unable to speak in the presence of the god.

“Zaros believes that the warlock king will be an asset to his quest for rebirth,” continued Erebos. “This sort of belief may well be expected from those gods who turn toward the Void... As you might guess, my son, this is not the case. Therefore I am sending you to Gielinor to prop up Zaros as long as you can.”
