i thought he was a reaper... and did you get the blade from me? i always though that they would fight whoever was getting sacrificed was placed on the stone and a dagger with a purple blade was drawn from the side of the stone and stabbed into the majharrat, and whoever was closer (they got closer if they had killed or did good damage in the fight so manly strong majahrrat were at the front) then tendrils of purple light struck each majharrat more if they were closer or the stabber. the light came from the pommel of the dagger

You may not understand though, but I'm sure Nyx does. Likewise, I'm sure he'd understand what I was saying if I told him I was a Lord. "He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

Oh, and who's that employer Prefix?

I really don't mind the Reavers so much, at least they believe in some sort of ideal. It's the Judges I can't stand. People claiming to be "neutral" are often just "indecisive".

Anyway, 12+ page add coming up.

“It’s over?” questioned Zamorak as he peered at the ritual stone.

“What! Not fair!” shouted Bandos as his head poked out of a pile of rubble, “Me want see fight.”

“Tsk, who lost this time?” asked Zamorak, ignoring Bandos.

“Me want see fight!” Bandos repeated louder.

“SHUT UP!” ordered Zamorak, grabbing Bandos’ head, slamming it into the ground and sending a burst of flame from his hand. Already weakened, and caught off guard by the attack, Bandos groaned and passed out. “Stupid annoying half-wit,” muttered Zamorak, “And if he wasn’t bad enough, I had the worst seats in the house!”

“Then why did*’t you move closer?”

Zamorak jumped at the voice, and shuddering, turned to find Zaros standing right behind him. “Z-Z-Zaros!” stuttered Zamorak.

“Who gave you permission to use my name, cretin?” asked the Empty Lord, his luminous eyes narrowing.

Before Zamorak could reply, Zaros’ hand was on his neck, and bolts of electricity were racing through his body.

“Honestly,” Zaros sighed nonchalantly, “If I don’t allow most of my faithful to use my name, why do you think I would allow a traitor to do such?” Zaros paused for a moment, and upon seeing that Zamorak was not answering shook his head and said, ”Listen you sorry excuse for a god…” as he said this, Zaros’ free hand was engulfed in black flames. “When. The. Great. Lord. Asks. You. A. Question. You. Answer Him.” said Zaros, sending a punch into Zamorak’s gut with each word he spoke, and unceremoniously dropping the god of chaos after he had finished speaking.

Once on the ground, Zamorak keeled over and vomited blood. “Disgusting,” said Zaros, knocking Zamorak’s head into the pool of blood in front of him. “And you call yourself a god… yet, even while at but a fraction of my true power, I can do this to you.”

“How are you doing anything?” gasped Zamorak, “Aren’t you a thought project, or whatever?”

“A thought projection? You really are a fool,” sighed Zaros, “Take a look!” he ordered, grabbing Zamorak’s head and pointing it in the direction of the other gods. Gifted with superhuman vision, Zamorak could make out another Zaros, sitting amongst the gods, and saying something to Saradomin, eliciting a nervous reply from the god of light. “You assumed,” said Zaros, *That because I had used a thought projection, I was far away… how wrong you are. But, then again, I never expected much from you.

You know… I could kill you this very instant,” continued the Empty Lord, causing his finger to glow white hot and bringing it close to Zamorak’s face. “But I won’t,” he added.

“Why not?* spat Zamorak, “You never cared about the so-called ‘mercy’ stuff Saradomin blabbers about.”

“Two reasons,” replied Zaros, “Firstly, you’re really not worthy of dying by my hand.” As he said this, Zaros began tracing a circle on Zamorak’s forehead with his burning finger, causing the god of chaos to flinch in pain. “Secondly, I want you to be alive… I want to humiliate you and bring you absolute suffering.” As he said this, Zaros traced an ‘x’ in the center of the circle he had already burnt in Zamorak’s flesh. “And finally, I want to bring you despair,” said Zaros as he finished burning his symbol into Zamorak’s forehead. “And I will, Zamorak, the moment my faithful excavate the weapon hidden under Falador… neither you, nor Saradomin, nor even that Guthix will stand against me.”

“W-w-what weapon?” asked Zamorak.

“You did*’t know about it?” asked Zaros, “It seems you’re even more stupid than I thought… Why do you think there is a city where Falador stands? It’s not in a center of trade, and it doesn’t have access to a river or body of water. No matter how you look at it, there’s no reason a city should be there… But there is one, one founded by Saradomin no less. Are you telling me that, in the millenia I was gone you never once thought to actually see if something of value was there?”

“Well, Saradomin always made sure to defend it, no matter how many troops I sent,” hissed Zamorak, “Even if I surrounded it and sieged it, he would send in reinforcements instead of abandoning it!”

Zaros gave Zamorak a pitying look. “And this didn't give away that something valuable was there? Idiot.” With this last word, Zaros stomped on Zamorak’s stomach, forcing the deity to vomit again, and pass out. Seeing Zamorak was no longer conscious, Zaros walked down from the mountain, to where Azzanadra waited with the other Zarosian Mahjarret.

“My lord,” greeted Azzanadra.

“Good to see all of you at full power,” said the Empty Lord, “Now... I have work for you.”

“Speak it and it will be done,” said Azzandra.

“Make an example of Zamorak’s followers,” ordered Zaros, “I want the world to know what comes of following one who betrays me. Only, do not harm those who are going to Falador, as I expect Hazeel and Enakhra will be doing.”

“Why Falador?” asked Akthankos.

“Hm,” said Zaros, “Wahistiel, you are a scribe of sorts among your race. Tell me; why was Falador built?”

At this question Wahistiel’s eyes widened. “But my Lord, to release THAT would certainly violate the Edicts! And who knows what consequences would arise even if the Edicts were not in effect?”

“I find your distrust of my power disturbing, Wahistiel,” said Zaros.

“My apologies, my Lord,” said Wahistiel, bowing, “I was not aware of how much of you full power you had access too.”

“Well, if that’s all then there is no problem,” replied Zaros, “In regard to the Edicts… I believe we can find a way to end those fairly soon, but you’re right, for now, it would be unwise to go against Guthix. Which is why, we are not, Zamorak is. It‘s wonderful isn‘t it? Falador will fall as will Saradomin's white knights, and Zamorak will run afoul of Guthix. Meanwhile, our power will grow… now go.”

“As you wish,” said Azzanadra, before he and the other Zarosian Mahjarret vanished.

“All is well…” mused Zaros, however, his brow suddenly furrowed, and he asked himself, “Now, what is this odd feeling?”

“Alright, I have all the documents on the Weapons,” said Liam, “I’m sorry this took so long.”

“No problem,” said Orcris, “I’m just glad you remembered about them before we had already gone to interview that knight.”

“Liam, before you leave, there is someone here to speak with you,” said Ayumu.

“Another delay?” asked Isamu, half-serious, “It’s almost like you’re trying not to come with us.”

“Do not be absurd,” said Ayumu, “We are just as eager as you to see Zaros’ return. However, our esteemed visitor cannot be turned away.”

“And who is this "esteemed visitor"?” asked Isamu.

“I suppose you should come in so as to satisfy this Zarosian’s curiosity,” said Ayumu.

“Zarosians are here?” asked a middle-aged man as he walked in. He wore an odd set of robes that Orcris had never seen before: it consisted of a black cloak which hung around the shoulders coupled with a robe as white as freshly fallen snow underneath.

“What business could possibly bring a thaumaturge of the Pagkosmios Cult here?” asked Liam, standing up.

At the mention of the Pagkosmios Cult, Isamu quietly drew his blade, and kept his eyes on the man who had just entered.

“We have… some documents, we think you should see,” replied the thamaturge, handing Liam a stack of papers. Out of curiosity, Orcris peered over Liam’s shoulders at the papers, but as they were written in a language he did not understand, the half elf could not grasp their meaning.

Liam on the other hand seemed to both understand and become fearful of the contents, for his eyes widened and his already pale skin turned the color of the thamaturge’s inner robe.

“But this would mean…” he gasped, “If only Erebos had seen fit to cast aside his cloak!

If this is the case then…”

-Orcris, kill Liam, now!-

Orcris was shocked to hear Zaros’ voice in his head.

-We do not have time to discuss this!- Zaros’ voice continued, -He means to betray us!-

Orcris still hesitated, his conscious not letting him strike down an ally so quickly. However, it seem Isamu had either received the same orders, or had guessed what was going on, for while the incubus was turned away, he swung his already unsheathed sword.

A clang echoed throughout the room as Isamu’s blade struck Setkul’s.

“What is this?!* exclaimed Ayumu, “You Zarosians mean to betray us?!”

“No,* said Liam, turning to the Zarosians. “We have delved to far in the darkness; in doing so, Zaros has been stripped of Erebos’ cloak, and is revealed to us. He cannot allow those who grasp the truth about him to live, so he has ordered his faithful to do away with us.”

Ayumu looked with shock at Liam, not so much for what he had said, though it was shocking, but rather for how he had said it. The normally meek and unpresuming incubus spoke now with certainty and authority.

“Orcris,” Liam continued, “Zaros is truly fitting of the title Empty Lord; for he is empty in entirety; his promises, his teachings, his very history is empty, it is but mists and shadows in the shape of something real. Those who cling to him will likewise cling to the emptiness he is the epitome of, and shall fall because of it. I warn you now, no longer have anything to do with that being, as it will only bring suffering and true destruction to both you and others.”

At this statement, Setkul began to laugh.

“What about this situation do you find funny?” asked Ayumu.

“Liam,“ said Setkul, “You are truly taking after Mephos; he said pretty much the same thing all the way back in the Second Age, right before he announced that the Cult of Darkness would no longer serve Zaros."

“And because of it, the Great Lord was deprived of our intelligence, and thus fell to the foul Zamorak!” exclaimed an old man as he walked into the room. He wore black and violet robes and was flanked by a number of people likewise clothed. “And we,” he continued, “We in turn were deprived of his power, and lost status, wealth, and knowledge. We will not allow this again.”

Another of the cloaked people spoke next, “It is unfortunate, we had hoped to make use of your power, Liam, you were weaker and more ignorant than Mephos, but still possessed his potential. You would have been an excellent tool; but you had to discover the truth.”

“Then you knew about this?!” questioned Liam, “And even so wanted to side with a being as evil as the Empty Lord?!”

“Evil and Good are relative concepts,” answered a lady from the group. “Power and knowledge are what truly matter. Mephos could not understand that either, he clung to ‘good‘ and so it brought him down. If he had simply shut up and been a good tool for us, he would‘ve still lived.”

“Aw, throwing a fit because the only people Mephos allowed to use him were Tianzun and myself?” asked Setkul, “Or maybe you’re upset that the two most powerful of the six children exerted control over your cult through Mephos?”

“Six children?” asked Orcris, *I thought there were five.”

“There are,” said Isamu, “Setkul, you cannot deceive us, anyone serving Zaros knows that Diamond Emperor Tianzun is but a myth.”

“I assure you that is not so,” said the thaumaturge, “Although, very few of us refer to him by his given name, preferring to call him Diamond, as an abbreviated form of the Diamond Emperor, he most certainly does exist. Not only that, he is the leader of the Pagkosmios Cult, and Zaros of all people does know of the exalted Emperor's existence, and fears him and his followers greatly.”

“I’ll see you gutted for that blasphemy!” exclaimed Isamu.
