Lucien, who had been slinking off while Enakhra and Akthankos were arguing, suddenly found himself facing two enraged statues, one of clay, and one of stone. Before the Mahjarret could even think to defend himself, the statue of Zamorak had kicked him soundly in the ribs. Pain raced up Lucien’s side as the sound of something snapping reached his ears. Lucien fell to the ground, gasping for breath, and as he did so the camel statue buried its teeth into Lucien’s arm and tore it from its socket. Barely able to stand, Lucien still managed to call up fountains of magma from deep within the earth to burn away both statues, much to the surprise and rage of Enakhra and Akthankos.

From a place near the altar, Azzandra stood regally. He had watched the entire fight without truly taking part. But it was clear to him now that Lucien was near his end. Holding his staff toward the heavens Azzanadra shouted a series of words so ancient that many of the gods did not understand their meaning. And as he did so, a cloud of noxious fumes blotted out the sky, turning the day darker than the blackest of nights. At this, all the Mahjarret stopped and turned to the sky. With the sound of thunder, tendrils of shadow struck the land, tearing it asunder, and bringing forth springs of magma from its depths. The magma gave an eerie glow to the whole of the land, and cast strange shadows upon those present. And then the rain began. The first to notice was Khazard, for the first drop struck him. He wiped it from his skull and looked at it; realizing at once it was not water, for it had the color and smell of blood. However, after a single moment, the drop did something that Khazard had never seen blood do… it screamed, a small face forming in the blood itself. In surprise Khazard shouted and tossed the blood away. However, even as he did so, more blood began to pour down upon the land.

At once, each Mahjarrat put up the most powerful defenses they could muster; Akthankos formed a whirlwind of sand around himself; Bilrach, a group of seven giants covering their heads with their shields; Enakhra, a barrier in the form of the symbol of Zamorak; Hazeel, an orb of flame, which also protected Khazard; Sliske turned into shadows and vanished; Zemourgal created a house out of corpses, and Azzanadra protected both himself and Wahistiel with a dome of ice.

Then the Mahjarrat watched as Lucien was left to the rain of blood. The younger Mahjarrat staring in a mix of puzzlement and awe, while the elder Mahjarret watched with understanding and fear. For they knew that within each and every drop of blood was a soul of the damned; each screaming in unspeakable torment. The very screams of those souls were known to kill mortals who overheard them, and the drops themselves attacked anything they touched, tearing flesh to shreds in seconds. Lucien knew this too, and so with every ounce of strength and will he still possessed, he created a shield to protect himself. To the surprise of all, the shield held, even as the rain of blood tore at it and tried to burrow through it. However, Lucien was so focused on maintaining his fragile shield, that he did not notice Bilrach summoning a demon twice as large and ferocious as K’ril Tsutsaroth. Taking advantage of Lucien’s focus on maintaining his shield, the demon made its way behind him and thrust a lance the size of a mature oak through Lucien’s back.

The Mahjarrat gasped in surprise and stumbled. As he slumped to the ground, the rain of blood stopped, and the other Mahjarrat tentatively lowered their defenses.

“It is done,” proclaimed Azzanadra as he looked upon Lucien’s limp form, “Take him to the altar.”

Bilrach nodded to the demon who unceremoniously plucked Lucien from the spear and tossed him on the ritual stone. As this was done, the Mahjarrat gathered around the stone, with Azzanadra, Sliske, Zemourgal, and Bilrach standing closest. With a nod from Azzanadra, Zemourgal stabbed an obsidian blade into his cousin’s heart. As the blade sunk in, the stone began to glow, and tendrils of light emerged from it, wrapping around Lucien. The defeated Mahjarrat’s eyes widened and his mouth opened to form a silent scream, and then he vanished. As he vanished the light from the stone grew all the brighter and engulfed the Mahjarrat, restoring them to their full powers. And thus concluded the eighteenth ritual of the rejuvenation on Gielinor. "He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

Awwww poor Lucien....I so expected more from him....too bad he relied so much on weapons and stones....

Sorry I haven't replied in awhile Aqua, great adds though I must say....

I particularly like the one when all the gods met...Guthix I'm guessing is at the center of Gielenor (last I heard)

Keep up the good work...

So many Lucien fans... I really did try to let him have a good fight, but I couldn't realistically write it in without heavily cheating for him. On the bright side for those of you rooting for Lucien, if Khazard hadn't intervened, it would be Wahistiel, not Lucien who was killed.

Oh and, it seems I finally decided to show my face (well, my char's) on my forum pic. (gasp)

Alright, I have some bad news. My computer's hard drive is experiencing an error, and while so far I haven't notice any operating problems, both my OS, and the manufacturer's software are predicting a high possibility of a hard drive crash. Furthermore, neither my OS nor the embedded software seem able to correct the mistake.

Of course, it is possible that my hard drive will continue to function, in the best case scenario, the error will be either corrected, or the error is confined to a few sectors and the embedded software will simply move the data located there-in to different sectors. Worst case scenario; my hard drive either fails entirely, or the error erases the data of an essential system file. If either happens, my computer will probably be down for a minimum of two weeks while in extremely sluggish process, it is shipped to a warehouse owned by my warranty provider, and repaired there, because they are too lazy to repair things in store. Even worse, they might need to back order the actual part (which they will only do after my computer arrives at the warehouse; they are also to lazy to check and make sure they have a necessary part in stock either before or while a computer is being shipped), if such is the case it may take more than a month for them to repair and ship my computer back.

In the case of my computer crashing; my adds will become far more sporadic, but I will make a good faith effort to continue adding to each story once a week. However, if I suddenly disappear from the internets for a while, that's probably what happened...

Incidentally, having dealt with many previous computer crashes, I do backup my important files on a semi-weekly basis; as a precaution, I have begun simply working with the files on the driver that holds the backup. So even if my computer crashes after I have completed, but not posted an add, the add itself will be safe, and can be posted whenever I get access to a computer.

On a completely unrelated note... Nyx, I just realized something about you... you're a Reaver! If I were a Saradominist I would have to brutally murder you at this time. Instead I will be giving you a trip to the Chaos Elemental using the non-existent "tele-other to Chaos Elemental" spell. You Reavers like chaos, right? So enjoy you're vacation.
