Ayumu smiled and walked over to Liam, but quickly began frowning when he noticed that Liam had tears in his eyes.

“I feel so violated,” the incubus sniffled.

“There, there,” said Ayumu, patting Liam’s head, *It’s alright… I’ll make you feel better.” As he said this, Ayumu’s made eye contact with Liam and his eyes began to glow red; within moments, Liam seemed to be in some sort of trance.

“Oh come on, hypnotism?” questioned Hekate, “Couldn’t you have done something more interesting?”

“Like what?” asked Ayumu, glaring at Hekate, “Besides, it’s easier to show you what I was talking about, rather than explain.”

Ayumu lifted up Liam’s shirt revealing a already fading symbol on the left of his chest, right over his heart.

“A chastity spell?” questioned Hekate, “Well, that explains why I just got shocked… and it means Usha tried something too, since apparently she activated it.”

“Correct,” replied Ayumu.

“One question though,” said Hekate, “Why did you want Liam unconscious to show me that?”

“You know him well enough to figure that out,” sighed Ayumu, “The seal of a chastity spell appears on a person’s chest when activated.”

“Oh, that’s right,” said Hekate, “Liam’s such a pansy he’d get embarrassed if someone saw him without his shirt on.”

“Pretty much,” said Ayumu.

Hekate sighed. “Tsk, I wish Usha had told me about that chastity spell, I can’t think of why she…” after trailing off, she began snickering to herself.

“Now what?” asked Ayumu, rolling his eyes.

“Ayumu, when did Liam get that chastity spell?” asked Hekate.

“I don’t know, sometime before he lost his memory,” replied Ayumu.

Hearing this Hekate began laughing so hard she fell to the ground.

“What’s so funny?” questioned Ayumu.

“You don’t know Mazoku culture well, do you?” asked Hekate, barely managing to stifle her laughter, “And of course, without his memories, Liam doesn’t either.”

“Can you just get to the point?” asked Ayumu. "He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

“Someone with a chastity spell on them can only get engaged to the person that put the spell on them,” Hekate answered gleefully.

Ayumu’s eyes widened. “Then, that means…” he gasped.

“Usha, who did not put that spell on him, cannot get engaged to him,” finished Hekate, “Which is why she did*’t tell me about the spell. She knew I would broadcast that information to people like Sophia Nychta, which is exactly what I intend to do.”

“I should also let Liam know about this,” said Ayumu, barely suppressing a smile, “And… for that information I think I will…. Overlook your actions this time.”

“So kind,” said Hekate, “I beg your leave.”

After Hekate had left, Ayumu woke Liam from his trance. “Feel better?” he asked.

“A little,” answered Liam, “I’m still upset about what Hekate did.

Incidentally, why are you down here, Ayumu?”

“Orcris arrived recently,” explained Ayumu, “Apparently, the Zarosians want us to interrogate some prisoners of their’s.”

“I see,” said Liam, standing up.

“There’s something else you should know,” said Ayumu.

“Yes?” asked Liam.

“It’s about your engagement to Usha,” ventured Ayumu. Getting no response, he continued, “You see**

As Ayumu related what Hekate had told him to Liam, the incubus seemed to get more and more surprised, and even asked for clarification a few times.


“You’re late!”

Iban smiled to his ‘father’ and replied, “Sorry dad, I met some nice girls, and we just… lost track of time.”

Zamorak snickered at this, and muttered something under his breath that sounded like “That’s my boy.”

While Gielinor’s resident deity of chaos was doing this, Iban looked over his companions; a man shrouded in black and red, who was most likely an assassin, and a woman in the red robes of the ZMI.

“Anyway,” said Zamorak, “The reason I called you here is… blah, blah, blah… Weapons of Destiny… etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, so go get them. Now shoo, I have important godly things to do, like... tending my harem.” "He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. Having given his ever so informative debriefing, Zamorak sent his group back to the Mage Arena from whence he had teleported them.

“Since Lord Zamorak failed to mention,” said the girl, “I am Zeryth, a pleasure to meet you, Lord Iban.”

“Azdejak,” commented the assassin.

“Great,” sighed Iban, “Anyone know what he wants us to do?”

“Oh me, me, me!” shouted an old man wearing multicolored robes, “I Ginko Arravarrockadajabberwocky Fask, will explain to you the weapons to get the Destiny of Plan!”

“By which, he means the plan to get the Weapons of Destiny,” said a young girl with flowing blonde hair and blood red eyes, dressed in a red, sleeveless shirt, and a skirt that barely reached halfway down her thighs.

“And who the heck are you?” asked Iban.

“Answer my question first,” said the girl, “Are you actually loyal to Zamorak, or do you just follow the path of chaos?”

“Only the Kinshra are actually loyal to Zamorak,” replied Azdejak.

“I never was, whether or not he calls me his son,” mentioned Iban.

“I follow anyone, so long as I get power,” commented Zeryth.

“Then welcome to the team,” said the girl, extending her hand, “I have been going by the name Rose, for a while now. I am the Scion of Chaos.”

“Ah, the one Soul and I were looking for last year,” chuckled Iban, “Nice to finally meet you… so, what are you here for?”

“Haven’t you figured it out?” asked Rose, “The same thing the Cult of Chaos has always wanted, to annihilate the governments of the world, and all the gods who actually try to tell us what to do; thereby achieving true anarchy, and by extension, true freedom.

“And so you want us to get them for you instead of Zamorak?” asked Iban.

“Get them for yourselves for all we care,” said Rose, “Just make sure you use them to overthrow the governments and the gods, and we of the Cult of Chaos will help you. How’s that sound?”

Iban began laughing. “What a fun world you describe,” he said, “I will happily lend you my blade.”

“I also would like to see this true chaos,” said Zeryth, “So I will help as well.”

“Is there money in this?” questioned Azdejak.

Rose sighed and with a snap of her fingers summoned a chest filled with polished diamonds.

“You have my services,” said Azdejak, helping himself to the diamonds.

*Wonderful,” said Rose, “Now, go find those weapons; I personally suggest Taverly as a good starting place, since the Guthixians are heading there to get information.” Having said her piece, Rose vanished in a burst of flame, and the old man soon after disappeared behind a flurry of cockroaches.

I apologize for the two day delay.

A few things that may need clarifying:

"Wrapped her tail around his": Amongst mazoku, it was at some point or another discovered that when a mazoku couple err... copulates, their tails tend to intertwine. Due to this, and the fact that talking about such subjects in public is taboo amongst the mazoku, it at some point or another became a practice among married couples for one of the couple to wrap its tail around the its spouse's to indicate a desire to... find a private room. (Since mazoku are rarely paying attention to each other's tails this is considered perfectly acceptable FOR MARRIED COUPLES.)

It is of course, considered entirely unacceptable for a mazoku to wrap his or her tail around the tail of someone he or she is not married to (This is incredibly rare, given the fact that the mazoku hold the mating act to be one of incredible sacredness.)

Normally, if a male mazoku wraps his tail around a female mazoku's to whom he is not married it means he is a "professional" offering his services. And if a female does so to a male she is not married to; she's doing it only to warn him that he better not resist, hence Liam's embarrassment. {I believe I mentioned it elsewhere, but just in case I forgot; mazoku culture is almost the mirror image of human culture in that woman traditionally are stronger, more ambitious, and more likely to hold positions of power, and mazoku men only recently obtained some rights toward leveling the playing field.}

"Cherry boy": I've heard this term used in rl by some people, but I'm not sure how widespread its use is, so I'm including it here. For those of you who don't know, in rl, the term originated in eastern Asia, and is slang to refer to a male vir(c)gin. The mazoku use it too; most of the time it is used by a mazoku woman as a term of endearment for her boyfriend. Hekate however, is using it to make fun of Liam's inexperience and reluctance. And finally...

"Chastity Spell": Heh, one reader knew this would be mentioned in the add as of last Wednesday.

The chastity spell is thought to be unique to the mazoku. In order to create one, a person has to work in unison with a second person, and both must have full knowledge, fill consent, and not already have a chastity spell cast on them. You can only cast a chastity spell on someone who is simultaneously casting one on you, and vice versa.

Once a chastity spell is cast on you, you may only have se(c)*ual contact with the person who cast it on you and vice versa. Should someone else try to initiate such contact with you they will be hit with a nasty shock, and should you try to initiate such contact with someone else you get a nasty shock (which means if Liam had tried to do something with Hekate [which, since he isn't a creep, he wouldn't] then he would get a nasty shock instead of her.)

Chastity spells can only be dispelled if one of two conditions are met;

1) If both you and the person who cast the chastity spell on you (and therefore, by extension, you cast a chastity spell on) agree to dispel the chastity spell.

2) If either you or the person who cast the spell on you dies. (It will automatically dispel in this case)


Incidentally; having a chastity spell on you does not mean you are doing anything with the person who cast it on you. It simply means you aren't doing it with anyone else (see below)

While chastity spells were originally meant for and used by married and engaged couples it is often used in other situations as well:

It is common practice for a master of a craft and her apprentice to cast a chastity spell, thereby ensuring the apprentice focuses on her work and not chasing after boys. (see the part in the last post about mazoku culture.)

It is common for fast friends to cast such a spell when one or both is going on a long journey or adventure, and is considered a promise to meet again (or at least not settle down until you do). Indeed, quite an add, different from the various stories I've read over the years.

It almost took me back to my Stephen King novels, atleast the first 2 posts my mind made some similarities.

Good to see the return of the assassin, I'm not gonna try spelling it...

Rose is somewhat annoying, expectable considering her part in the story, I hope Iban stabs her in the back someday.

All in all, good add, can't wait till the next one.
