His eyes widened and an uneasy feeling settled over him. Nervously, he allowed himself to look around at the sky, and as he feared found that there were a total of twelve suns in a ring at the horizon.
“Muspellheim?!” he shouted at Setkul, “What in the names of the six primordials made you think that was a good idea?!”
“There's something I have to retrieve here,” replied Setkul, “And I wasn't going to leave Liam back in Gielinor while I went to get it.”
“Setkul, you're crazy,” groaned Ayumu.
“I thought you knew that already?” said Setkul, “Regardless, let's hurry on. I don't want to stick around in Muspellheim's jungles for long.”
“Noted, although, for us, the cities are just as dangerous,” muttered Ayumu, “How are you going to explain an incubus with us?*
*That's easy, I have 'adopted' him,” answered Setkul.
“Ah, using Tenzoku society against itself, clever,” said Ayumu.
“Well, it is me,” replied Setkul, picking up Liam, “Anyway, let's go.”
“Right,” sighed Ayumu, following.
“That's our commander?” gasped one of the Zarosians.
“Apparently, I hear the Great Lord has a high opinion of this one,” replied another.
“I can see why,” said the first, “Dang... is that person a woman?”
“What a foolish question,” said Orcris, walking up behind the soldiers, and getting a salute. “Why does it matter what gender you're officers are?”
“It doesn't sir!” exclaimed one of the soldiers.
*That's better,” replied Orcris, “Now, if you'll excuse me...”
Walking in front of the new commander, Orcris bowed and said, “I am Orcris, head of the fourth division of the Zarosian Knights. Our lord has commanded me to act as your subordinate in this mission.”
