And overall, the unfolding situaton in the building had a chaotic feel that clearly overpowered that of the harmony. It had nothing to do with who was succeeding, but rather what had come to pass. The demon had been summoned, had convinced another to side with it, and forced another demon to manifest itself fully. All of this was chaos, and yet no harmony had been brought to match it. It mattered little how the situation played out in the end, as the chaos was the prevailing result.

As for Siera herself, watching the rushing flow from within the safety of the remnant of her Song, she did not know what to do. Azul was untouchable, and she could not hurt the one who was making it so. The other demon appeared to still be on the side opposing Azul, and that was a compromise she knew she had to accept. Her own position was precarious, but there was no opportunity to move without making herself entirely helpless. Her own contributions to the argument could not be made without an interjection of the mind, and as usual she wasn't going to open her mind up right here.

That is, until Annie dropped the shield, and Siera immediately took the opportunity. Perhaps it was underhanded, perhaps it was not fair, but she could not allow this demon to remain alive. A piercing high note was followed by a descending waterfall of triplets, and from the air around her came a single azure orb, which flew forward and into the area where Azul was before the barrier closed again and trapped it inside. With nothing to stop it, the orb began orbiting the demon, firing off beams of radiant energy at him. It wasn’t nearly as much as she could muster given the proper amount of time, but it was enough to hurt, and combined with everyone else she hoped it would be enough.

Demons and Fire

At first, everything seemed as though it was going fine. There was nothing that was going wrong, and Kira could notice nothing that might pose a problem. Ryokin was down below, calling on whatever he felt like, and she was curious to see whether or not this would even work. Her own experience with instantaneous transportation into the walls had been met with a less-than successful experience, and if the summoning of more demons was along the same principle then the backfire was likely to be something fantastic.

Unfortunately, it never got to that, and she was pretty sure she knew why even if she did not know how. There was a sudden howl of wind, but she realized quickly that it was not wind but rather a magical construct of some kind. It did not affect her flight, but she knew it was there, and the only explanation she could think of was that it disabled the magical protections over the city.

About to test this, she was instead interrupted by the eruption of chains from the summoning circle that Ryokin had brought about. Normally that wouldn’t matter, but these chains were headed directly for her! They forced Kira to turn and dive with an angry shriek, sliding through the air and past the oncoming chains. She did*’t have to look very hard to see that they were not the typical metal chains, and did*’t need to know that to know she did not want to be bound by demonic devices such as these.

She did*’t care what Ryokin was summoning, because if it had the inclination to attack her the second it appeared she was going to burn it to the ground. The creature in question looked awful, too; not the kind of demon she wanted to be associated with. All demons were the same, but at least some had the knowledge to act as though they had class. Really, how did those that constantly stood in a pool of blood or had the image of a grotesque monster expect anyone to even want to make a deal with them?

Spreading her wings and pulling out from the dive, Kira fired two of the flame-lance projectiles at the mechanical blood-generator. One was aimed at the center of his back while the other was fired as close as she could get to the open chest while launching one from above. Both would explode in a ten-foot radius of flames and heat upon impact.

Keeping an eye out for more chains, and making sure to keep her distance of around forty feet up in the air, Kira began to circle. She needed to know what this was, and how it would respond to the explosive lances.

The last thing she had seen before diving was Soahc and Brodus in front of the building that had produced the magical wind, and that meant she did not have to deal with it. That was likely the objective, and if he was already there the last thing she wanted was to draw more attention to it.

Their Awakening

Kat wasn’t quite sure how long she sat there, but it seemed like hours. Watching two people who could spring up and be enemies at any second was not her preferred job, but she couldn’t leave them when the feeling of unease was so prevalent in her mind. Nobody else would likely believe her - or they would run both of them through to prevent any chance of anything happening - so it was up to her to be here.

Her patience was eventually rewarded, but certainly not in a very positive way. Both of them came to life at the same time, Charles pushing Alania off before falling backwards and starting to cough up blood. Alania did*’t move, but rather just lay there looking around as though she was in a trance. Both of them looked slightly worse for wear, Alania having tears that had formed at some point during the time she was asleep.

Charles was the one she was most concerned about, though, for he looked as though he was dying. They did not appear to be anything other than themselves, and her senses weren’t giving her any implication of imminent danger. Therefore, it only made sense to make sure they were alright.

Chaplain!
” she shouted, wanting to get someone who could do something in the way of medical services should Charles be in bad condition.

Holstering her firearm, since it did not seem she would need it, Kat knelt down between where the two lay and asked, “
Are you alright? What happened?

In truth, she wasn’t sure if that was even an acceptable question, but she couldn’t do much else on her own. Her area of knowledge was hunting and sailing, neither of which was applicable here.

Ryokin

Initially dodging the chains and hooks, that shot out he looked at this demon Ryokin just stared he was impressed that he was successful with summoning anything. Seeing it look up at the phoenix that is Kira Ryokin coughed and cleared his throat then snapped his fingers,
"Down here, if you wouldn't help but give me a moment of your time. It is I who brought a magnificent creature as yourself to this place. Listen to me and I will bring you to Soahc if you just give a moment of your time."

Ryokin with a toothy grin in his demonic form he turns back into his human state back in his black robes that come together from what seems to be the ashes of his skin of his demon form.

"If you don't know I am Ryokin a crossroads demon. In fact I am lord of the crossroads. You see Soahc gave me a deal, to restore my powers and give me the powers of Azul and his fallen army, but there is more that I want. I need the rest of the army of the beholder. I want every demon under my rule. The demon halls will become my kingdom, this world my domain. I want to become the demon king, and lead our brethren through this world in some proper fun. Now this is where you come in my new big friend."
Ryokin says off in a monologue then pauses once he gets to what he needs this monster for.

Ryokin continues what he was saying,
"I need generals and soldiers. I need followers to help me achieve my ultimate goal. I am giving you an opportunity to join my cause be my first follower be my general to my army that is to come. I will personally take you to Soahc you can do what you will then you will join my side. What do you say?

As Ryokin spoke, he had no deception in his voice, he spoke true as his true intentions come clear he wants to rule over the demons and call himself the Demon King. He now waits as he attempts to make a deal with this creature that came from his summoning circle.
and nothing was spoiled :P

Ryokin dodged the chains, but instead of getting angry, he seemed impressed by the demon he helped spawn into the world. The demon looked up and to the east, then Ryokin called him, wishing to speak to the beast, so Mechanical looked at Ryokin, empty eye sockets and rib cage leaking blood, skinless, fleshy frame oozing red fluid, heart audibly beating, lungs sounding like bellows, mechanical parts intertwining with his ribs sizzling his flesh and blood, and overall the demon was a rather creepy thing to behold.

Addicted to pain so much that he made himself semi-mechanical, using some sort of internal pyromancy to keep the machinery red-hot, so that he was constantly feeling the agony of being flayed and burning from within, this Spirry would definitely make quite the ally. Ryokin called and then spoke to the demon, reverting to human form, definitely interested in the specimen, and explaining himself. Ryokin had caught the demon's attention upon mentioning Soahc. The mechanoid demon tilted his head, going into a semi-kneeling position, grinding his teeth together, the ember-spiralled shadow-chains that had been unleashed now retracting back into the summoning circle, steaming away into nothingness one by one.

“I don't care about an army or having status, I've already been a Demon King, long ago, it means nothing to me now. I used your circle to get here, you did not completely summon me, I spawned here by using your sign.” The mechanoid replied, voice sounding like a furnace, flames fuming out his mouth, eye sockets, and underneath his ribs, flesh and blood broiling and getting charred, though his body continued to regenerate and sizzle.

Meanwhile, Kira had been quick enough to dive and so dodged the hooked chains that lashed out at her, probably unintentionally, and presuming that to be an attack, she unleashed two fiery projectiles, lances of flames that would exploded into a radius of ten feet.

Before the mechanoid could continue speaking, he was hit by Kira's fire-lances, the first hitting Spirry in the back, staggering him, and then the second hitting him in his opened chest, staggering him again.

The projectiles exploded powerfully, flames cauterizing the mechanoid completely, both blasts making the blood-leaker to sound like red-hot rocks thrown into water, sizzling and grumbling, his body blackened but having red cracks mapped across his crisped frame, and, gradually, the charred parts simply crumbled, cracking apart as red parts.

The demon shook himself, like a cat, flaking bits of charred flesh off and spattering blood everywhere. A pool of blood several feet across slowly formed. The mechanoid looked up, wondering what happened, and although feeling the force of the fire-lances, they obviously did not really do much to cause suffering.

Accustomed to feeling red-hot metal parts sizzling within his body constantly, with each and every single heartbeat, breath, thought and moment, of constant pain, yet absolute acceptance of agony, well, the demon did not looked bothered.

Nevertheless, ironically, despite being a demon of fire and heat, machinery and pyromancy, if he was completely cauterized, his body would definitely stop regenerating at least for a while. Pyromancy was both his strength and weakness. He looked back at Ryokin, still rather oblivious and naive to his surroundings, and not knowing if the fire-lances' explosions affected Ryokin, the demon of crossroads, something he did not understand.

“...though I have no problem joining you and your army, whatever it takes to finding Soahc, and maybe your army can help me in return to get rid off... an opponent.” The mechanoid said, smoke bellowing out his mouth, nostrils and rib cage as he spoke and breathed.

Soahc seemed to be with Brodus at a building, but Mechanical obviously did not know, being blind, but not completely sightless.

Hamstead

The walls caved in, the ceiling fell, and after it came the roof, weight beyond measure cascading down upon the party.

Annie stood, her arms raised high, using the magic that had always been latent within her, the magic that had threatened to burst out of her so many times, that had helped her defeat the Dread Lord in Messia and stand toe-to-toe with Azul in Copperdale, magic that was augmented by the gift of Arran, to be one of his chosen avatars, and forced all of this potential upwards. The building rushed away from them, launched skywards by a typhoon of raw magical ability, crashing down in the middle of the street instead.

A cloud of debris, dust, splinter and stone swept out from the ruin, sweeping over the combatants, filling their lungs, stinging their eyes. But in a few seconds, the dust was settled- and Azul was vanquished.

Where the elder demon once stood was Joric's sword-tip and Kuro's sword-tip locked together, both still glowing red-hot from Siera's magical bombardment. In order to save the others, Annie had been forced to drop her force-field, and that was when they had all struck as one, and obliterated Azul where he stood. His essence scattered into the air, then fell like snowflakes, fell atop of Kuro and sunk into him once again. Having not allowed Azul to regain his full power, he was once again trapped within the half-demon.

"Arran won't help you, kid," Tempora Sage told Annie solemnly. The stairs had been destroyed in the process, and he and Siera stood awkwardly atop the first floor, looking over the now open-top front room. "Gods meddle, and Arran never took too kindly to them. He'd want you to stand on your own two feet, that's why I'm here."

Etheldredda removed herself from the hulking mass that was Rovaan, spinning rapidly to make sure his molten form hadn't set her aflame. Finding herself unscathed, she paused for a moment to give the transformed Rovaan a quizzical gaze. She assumed it must be Rovaan, given the man's disappearance and having seen him partially transform earlier against the river troll. Since their first meeting, she had found herself impressed with the man, the way he carried himself, his seeming proficiency at warcraft... And now this.

"We need to leave," is all she said though. No thanks, no, 'why did I wake up to you all fighting,' no nothing. Simply back to the mission at hand. "Too much noise, and half of you are Wanted here."

The Temple

The Grand Priest of Tyrrus dry-heaved as his pelvis was crushed by the force of Brodus's armoured kneecap, staggering backwards a few steps and giving the knight just the space he needed for his sword to swipe off the man's head in one quick, decisive swing.

As the blood-spurting body fell to the ground, Soahc gave out a low whistle.

"Y'know what, you do seem more like a Brodus," the demigod decided. Walking over the body and towards the door, he paused to fidget within his pockets, rustling around for some item or another- before pulling out an entire barge pole, ten feet in length.

He held it like a javelin, looking inside the temple at the overweight Grand Supreme Lithior, whose eyes were rolling around nonsensically and whose open mouth was drooling slightly, and sighed. "I don't want to touch him with this," Soahc said, dropping the gag-prop and picking up the sword that Ubaid had left besides the door, marching into the threshold.

"Hello boys!" He called out to the Conclave of Grand Priests, flashing his smile at them all. The Grand Supreme, snapping out of his stupor, quite clearly wet himself. The priest with the orange mask, the smile upon it a reflection of the one grotesquely stretched across Soahc's face, screamed out with pleasure and threw himself at Soahc's knees, bowing deeply.

"My Lord!" He stammered, pointing behind Soahc, towards the ghostly Ubaid and his reptilian counterpart, but Soahc pushed idly past the Grand Priest of Soahc, and sliced the Grand Supreme's gut open, watching the intestines and digestive fluid pour out onto the floor.

"He really was holding your religious order back," Soahc told the Grand Priest of Janus with an amicable shrug.

"Please sir, he's talking to the-"

Soahc waved the Grand Priest of Soahc silent.

"Servants make mockeries of themselves," responded the Grand Priest of Janus, staring at his grovelling counterpart, and then at Soahc himself. "Even gods can be subdued."

Soahc chortled at that, whilst behind him, the Grand Priest of Acoxyle reached forwards and placed a long, black nail on the front of Ubaid's armour-

"Capital City is lost!" Called an armoured man with long, ginger hair. Bodies were piled up upon the walls, and undead were crawling over the self-made ramp. Spectral beings flew through the skies, picking victims at random, as the city began to be evacuated. The commander turned back to the horde, readied his sword, charged...

Ubaid stood over a corpse like no other- twenty feet tall, at the least. A masterpiece of necromantic engineering, the immaculate conception of an undead titan. He saw through the thousand eyes of his slaves, saw the city was his. He was more than Undying now, he was the Lich King.

Hagspawn and halfelf ran in fear, a knight was drowning, a barbarian smashed at the gates. A hunter encased in black went forth to meet his greatest creation...
