Edward Veliath's Mansion -- Almost an Hour Before Sundown

As the sun crept closer to the horizon, Ragnar left his house. As always, he used the back door and kept to the shadows as he manoeuvred the narrow streets of the slums.

Other shadowy figures hurried by him, and he squintingly inspected them all from afar, searching for potential threats. Beggars. Harlots. Petty thieves. They all scurried away from his less-than-friendly gaze, and he proceeded to Veliath's mansion without incident.

Ragnar did not particularly care for the idea of a mansion. Too flaunty. Too conspicuous. He kept his distance, scanning the surroundings. The street outside Veliath's residence seemed empty. Then again, no-one ever apporached the mansion unless they had important business there.

Speaking of important business, it was almost an hour till sundown. Veliath would be expecting him any minute now.

As he approached the front door of the mansion he instinctively reached for his dagger, wrapping his fingers around its grip. He did not care much for front doors either, but -- much like himself -- Veliath was not usually one to enjoy surprises, and so it would probably be prudent not to sneak in through the back.

Reaching the door, Ragnar raised his free hand and knocked.

An Hour Before Sundown

Raea continued to watch the hustle and bustle of the marketplace for an hour or two, before returning to her home. There, she took a short nap to ensure her energy would be completely unhindered when she went out to perform whatever illegal activity Edward had planned for her. When she awoke, she figured she could leave now to make it on time to whatever meeting Veliath had planned.

So she grabbed her dagger and wand, wrapped herself in her cloak, and left her house. She took a fairly straightforward path to the mansion of her employer, taking care to occasionally cut through alleyways to make certain she wasn’t being tailed. When she arrived a few minutes later, another figure stood at the doorway.

Terisa noticed this and decided to make her approach slightly louder, so she wouldn’t take the fellow criminal by total surprise. She made her way closer, but stood away from the door so as to not crowd. Besides, the servants working under Edward wouldn’t need multiple people knocking – they almost certainly heard the first one. A simple nod was directed toward Ragnar, though she made no sudden movements and held her tall stature tight.

As he saw the bandit leader fall, Andrew trudged on towards her. One of the knights rode to a stop in front of her, probably in case she managed scramble to her feet. He appreciated the gesture, but he kept his face down and eyes to the ground, not wanting to look the knight in the visor. As he approached her, he clenched his fists. He needed to blow off some steam. And bandits were people he had no respect for.

"The only thing that hurts worse than an arrow coming in..." He threatened in a low, grim voice as he knelt down beside her. Andrew reached for the arrow sticking out of her shoulder and tried to rip it free from her bloody flesh and bone. "...is an arrow coming out!"

Forest

Lyna moved to the side to dodge the straight down swing of the axe. Lyna then sliced her hand very quickly up towards the axe arm that was tried to hit her with the axe. Lyna was trying to disarm the man hoping to at least take him back alive.

Lyna would kill this man, if she wanted to but she wanted to do the knightly thing and spar him while having a bit of fun while doing so.

The Forest

The man's axe struck the ground with a light thunk . He quickly pulled it out, just as Lyna slashed out at him with a knife, cutting through his vambrace and inflicted a shallow cut - not enough to disarm him, but enough to make him feel it. "Ah!" He grunted in pain.

The bandit rose his axe into the air for another strike, but then he heard rapid footsteps to the right. He turned his head and saw Sir Richard's red headed squire charging at him, sword drawn. The sixteen year old knight-in-training yelled out an unintelligible battle cry and raised his sword into the air, swinging it at the bandit as he came into range.

The bandit brought his shield up and deflected the blow, and then swung his axe at the boy in turn. The squire used his sword to block it, and then they stood there, weapons locked, trying to overpower each other. The bandit's attention no longer on the elf, would give Lyna the window she needed to attack.

The Road

The bandit leader screamed in pain as Andrew ripped the arrow from her shoulder, her vision going blurry. In one last desperate attempt to fight back, her right hand curled up into a fist and she launched it directly at Andrew, aiming between the man's legs.

As for Mark and Cain, they could let this go on if they wished. But they would also remember that the knightly code forbade unnecessary torture on a helpless opponent.

((Mark, just pointing out that Darius isn't currently present - he left to pursue another bandit.))

Veliath's Mansion

The door was opened by a different servant this time - a young woman. Her eyes widened, and she was clearly startled by the intimidating sight of Ragnar. Perhaps she was new to the job. "Oh, Mister Rag**r! Mister Veliath is expecting you. Please, come in. He should be in his office - you know where it is, yes?"

She then looked past him, at Rae. "Miss Terisa." She greeted the significantly less intimidating but as far as she knew equally dangerous arrival. "Come in as well. I'll show you to a sitting room where you may wait to speak with Mister-"

But then she paused, noticing the dwarf sitting on the lawn with his boar. She had been told to expect a dwarf named Balmor Highrock, but she hadn't expected him to turn up with a boar. He had yet to approach the door though, so she waited for him to come over.

Raea heard the servant girl greet Ragnar, telling him he’d get to see Mr. Veliath first. She then addressed herself, informing her of the sitting room she’d have to wait in whilst Ragnar was briefed. Ah, well, he did get here first, she thought, waiting for him to pass through the door.

When he did, the hybrid silently glided over to the young servant. She smiled at her, but it was the kind of smile that screamed “We aren’t friends.” Assuming the girl proceeded to show her to the sitting room, Raea more politely smiled and asked her for some tea. It was a typical routine of hers, of course, but the servant girl (who seemed quite new, now that she considered it) probably wouldn’t know that just yet.

In the sitting room, Miss Terisa sat gracefully into a chair, somehow making her tall stature seem elegant rather than awkward. There she waited, either for her tea or for her meeting with her employer.

One thing she could be certain of, though, was that it would be one hell of an adventure. And sending Raea, rather than a trained assassin, meant she'd probably be manipulating someone's mind. A twisted grin barely creeped its way onto her face as she thought of it.

Jim looked at her daughter smiling that the wounds look better already. Then he said in a calm voice,"please explain what happened before the fire came out of your fingers?"

Annie looked at him and repiled,"A strange energy started growing in me. It kept growing and growing until it came out. I don't know what happened and I am scared I will hurt someone with it."

Jim gave her a hug and said,"I am scared to about this but we will figure it out."

Annie asked,"do you know what it could be?"

Jim repiled in a calm voice," I have an idea what it might be."

Annie asked in a nervous voice,"what are your idea what it might be?"

Jim repiled,"relax it's ok. I think it could be powers."

Annie was shocked and said,"powers really? I can't believe it."

Jim repiled,"yes, I really think you have powers. Until I figure out what to do, please don't tell Veliath."

Annie asked in a shock voice,"ok. But why not tell him."

Jim repiled,"I don't know how he will react to it and we have to worry about your career as a spy."

Annie repiles,"that's true. I won't tell him. I promise. I think he is still mad at me because I failed the last mission."

Jim repiles,"I don't think he is mad at you because, you proved your loyalty and he knows you needed more training."

Annie repiles,"that's true."

Lyna took the opportunity given to her she got behind the bandit then proceeded to kick the bandit in the back of the leg aiming right behind the knee hoping to take the bandit down.

Lyna knew trying to take this bandit alive would be difficult but she figured it would be more 'honorable' if she didn't outright gut him when she had the chance. Lyna was figuring either this man could possibly taken in or help to find any other bandits.

Balmor then got off his boar and said, "Yeah, I know I'm the big deal. A great story writer I'd have you know. So the big man in charge wants to talk to little old me. Great lead the way!"

Balmor acting more cheerful then he really was. He figured if he made it seem like he honestly believed he was there cause he was a writer and not a thief.

Name: William Sevorian
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Group/Organization: Organization

Physical Appearance: Will has short, dark brown hair, cut short to his head. His skin is lightly tanned, as most of his work occurs at night, but trains in the day. His face is clean shaven, with thin features, and dark forest green eyes. He is five feet ten inches tall, with a thin athletic build. Powerful steel chords of muscle, though not being bulky in any sense. Being on the smaller side often played to his advantage though. It made people underestimate him, and it was easier to hide as well.

Attire: The spy and assassin will dawn whatever attire most fits a situation, be it regal robes to infiltrate an upper crust party, or sackcloth robes in the guise of a blind beggar. But most days he will wear an outfit that lets him stealthily move about the city at night, but wont throw him into suspicion in the day. A , dark blue tunic with black sleeves and black pants with soft leather boots to sneak through the wealthy's mansions unnoticed. The few who see the assassin during his jobs will know that he wears a blue mask with a white circle on the forehead, rectangular slots for eyes and a horizontal slit for a mouth. Legends have been invented about the mask, but in reality, he picked it up at a festival his target was attending.

Weapons: A double edged knife is his primary tool, but he also possesses throwing knives and a boot knife. For a sword, he uses a single hand short sword that is curved forward and is of elvish make.
Magic: Short range teleporting.

Short History: William was an orphan in a city state to the south. He discovered his magic abilities, and practiced them secretly. After so many years, he moved north to Greenhaven and into the employment of the Organization. His talents for teleporting and stealth making him exceptionally useful.
