Dear Diary,

This evening I decided to finally finish off Farming. I was only 30 XP away from the level 5 skill cap. I teleported to Taverley and went north to pick flax. After I had picked 24 flax, I was 1 XP short of the skill cap. Upon picking the next bit of flax I reached Farming level 5. I picked 3 more flax and turned the entire inventory into 28 bowstrings, which I banked in Burthorpe.

I raised Farming from level 1 to level 5 only by picking flax.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Tonight I used three medium prismatic lamps to raise my Construction, since I wasn't interested in training the skill by building a house. The first lamp got me to level 2. The second lamp got me to level 3 and almost to level 4. The third lamp got me to the level 5 cap for Construction.

Now that I have raised both Construction and Farming to level 5 today, I have all the skill levels I need for the Perils Of Ice Mountain quest. I'm in no great hurry to do this quest though, as the rewards from it are several XP lamps specific to member skills - all of which I am at the level cap for.

No, I didn't want to build a house. I am not a domestic Kat. :P

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This morning I paid another visit to the hill giants and hobgoblins.

While fighting the giants I reached Attack, Defence, and Strength level 52 as well as combat level 65. Burying their big bones also completed a Daily Prayer Challenge. I redeemed this to get Prayer level 42.

The hobgoblins are no longer aggressive towards me - not even the level 32 ones. Neither are the skeletons and zombies. Apparently, they know better now. The hill giants haven't learned their lesson yet. Some day they will figure out it is in their best interests to not attack me. Yes, some day they will learn.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Tonight I made my sixth trip to Daemonheim. It was another brief run.

It had been just over a month since the last time I had gone dungeoneering. This time, I cleared Floor 7 on Complexity 6.

The starting room was in the top right corner of the map. I had to work my way west, since the south door was locked and I needed a gold triangle key. The door to the top left room required a blue diamond key that I did not have. To go south I had to exorcise a dark spirit. This got me Prayer level 43.

I accumulated enough rusty coins to buy five fractite ores from the smuggler, plus I mined four more fractite ores. Since I have a fractite 2h sword and a fractite platebody in my bind pool, I had more than enough ores to smith the rest of a full set of fractite armor.

In the room west of the starting room there was a barred door I couldn't force open, as it required 88 Strength. The blue diamond key was somewhere beyond that door. I did find the gold triangle key to unlock the door south of the smuggler. This led to the boss room.

In this final room I fought a Plane-freezer Lakhrahnaz for the second time. This annoying cretin kept pushing me away as it fled from me while launching its pitiful ranged and magic attacks at me. I was only lightly wounded and did not eat any of the dusk eels I had brought during the fight. When I was able to attack this thing, I easily killed it. The boss dropped a pair of marmaros gauntlets and part 4 of the Mysterious Chronicle.

I returned to the smuggler, sold all my food and excess gear, then bought a zephyrium ore. I smithed a zephyrium pickaxe and added it to my tool belt, replacing my fractite pickaxe.

Completing this dungeon raised my Dungeoneering level to 31.

Before my trip to Daemonheim, I reached Firemaking level 70 and I raised Fishing from level 33 to 35.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This evening, as I headed south from the Draynor lodestone to complete a Daily Divination Challenge, a root sprang up out of the ground near me. I continued on to the wisp colony and did the challenge. Then I returned north through Draynor Village.

I noticed some movement west of the lodestone, so I got closer to investigate. I discovered an evil tree twitching and growling! Another player was standing near the evil tree, but wasn't chopping it. I began working my way around this tree, chopping the evil roots and setting sections of the tree on fire. At some point, the other player disappeared. Either he or someone else had chopped this tree before I arrived, as the evil tree was down to 20% of its health when I started to take it down. After encircling most of the evil tree with flames and chopping it a bit more, the tree died. I burned a piece of kindling on its remains and claimed a 50% reward: some coins, 3 noted logs, and an acorn. The acorn is a P2P item, requiring level 15 Farming to plant. I might sell it on the GE, but for now it is in my bank.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Tonight, after game reset, I decided to complete a Daily Combat Challenge by using the Skull Sceptre to teleport directly to the shades on Level 4 of the Stronghold of Security. I had to kill 25 of them to complete the challenge. This was child's play.

One of these shades dropped a shade robe top, so now I have six robe tops but still only one robe bottom. Defeating shade #17 got me Constitution level 54. After I had killed 25 shades, I went on to kill another 25 shades. No further drops from them.

Redeeming the challenge awarded me a combat XP lamp. I used it on Constitution. I also received a message informing me I am now halfway to completing DailyScape. This is an achievement you get for completing and turning in challenges ten days in a row.

Five down, five to go.

Love,
Kat
