This morning I went on a mining run. First, I obtained 100 mithril and 100 iron ores from the southwest Varrock mine. While gathering the mithril, I reached 74 Mining. This also completed a Daily Mining Challenge. Next, I moved to the southeast Varrock mine and got 100 adamant ores. I teleported to Falador and entered the Mining Guild.
Beneath the surface of Falador I mined 100 runite ores, 100 luminite, and 100 coal. Then, I made my way to the Artisans' Workshop, where I deposited all my ores into my metal bank. I also more than completed a Daily Smithing Challenge by making 300 steel arrowheads.
After banking the arrowheads I climbed the stairs down into the Dwarven Mine to battle the scorpions there, including several king scorpions. This completed my last Daily Challenge for today - Combat. I used the challenge lamp on Ranged.
This afternoon I made four trips to mine the uncommon gem rocks at the mine north of Al Kharid. I cut all the sapphires, emeralds, and rubies I found, then I fletched the emeralds into bolt tips. I have already made 1,000 sapphire bolts and I do not yet have the skill to create ruby bolt tips. I finished collecting the fourth inventory of gems by getting a ruby and a sapphire. I cut the ruby. Then I cut the sapphire to reach 72 Crafting. I can now make blue dragonhide shields, which means I can now craft full blue dragonhide armor. This is the final unlock in Crafting that a free player can attain.

Late this afternoon I finally achieved another of my goals - the Cremation ability!
One of my three Daily Challenges was a Slayer task. I spoke with Jacquelyn in front of Lumbridge Castle, and she tasked me with killing 16 ghosts. Usually I would take my Skull Sceptre and teleport to Level 4 of the Stronghold of Security to battle the ghosts there. However, this time I opted instead to teleport to the Draynor lodestone. I ran north, entered Draynor Manor, climbed the stairs to the second floor, and made my way to the rooms in the southwest section. There I fought the level 25 ghosts. I easily dispatched these ghosts. Many of them I killed with a single blow from Arteria. After I had killed 10 ghosts, I had completed the challenge - but I still had 6 more ghosts to destroy in order to fulfill Jacquelyn's task. I continued to kill ghosts. Upon slaying ghost #15, I received the following message:
"You have unlocked the ability to burn bones on bonfires!"
At last the Cremation ability is mine!

Tonight I completed three more Daily Challenges. I was assigned Thieving, Woodcutting, and Combat tasks. I stole bread and cakes from a Lumbridge Market stall, chopped a dozen yew logs west of Lumbridge Market (all from the same yew tree), and I killed 36 poison spiders in Edgeville Dungeon. I only had to kill 15 of them to complete the challenge, but the spiders foolishly kept attacking me. The first two spiders met me halfway along the corridor leading to their lair. I quickly defeated them and moved to the edge of their cave, where a third spider rushed towards me. I easily slew it. More spiders appeared, only to be exterminated. I kept killing spiders after I had completed the challenge. Upon killing the 24th poison spider I reached Defence and Strength level 69. After I had killed two more spiders I got 69 Constitution as well as combat level 88. I began to withdraw after I had defeated 30 spiders. However, the spiders kept pursuing me as I attempted to leave their lair. I made sure they regretted their decision.
When I returned to the room with the animated skeletons, I redeemed my challenges. I used the combat challenge XP lamp to get 61 Ranged. Late tonight, after I had used my Explorer's Ring 2 to low-alch 30 gold amulets and used my magic abilities to roast a dozen scorpions at the mining site north of Al Kharid, I rubbed a medium prismatic lamp I had stashed in my backpack to get 61 Magic.

Tonight I completed three more Daily Challenges. This time I was given Fletching, Cooking, and Woodcutting tasks. I strung 12 maple shieldbows, cooked 10 raw crayfish, and chopped 18 oak logs north of Lumbridge Market. I redeemed these challenges to reach 59 Cooking as well as the Total Level 1200 milestone.
My current challenge weekly progress streak is now 10.

Early this morning I returned to the Warriors' Guild in order to fight the cyclopes for a second time in hopes of finding a bronze defender.
I only had 20 tokens left over from my first visit to the guild, so my first order of business was to acquire more tokens. I brought my spare rune platebody, rune platelegs, and rune full helm to Shanomi's room with the animation machines. I placed the rune armor on one of the machines. I fought my animated rune armor six times, earning an additional 480 tokens. Now that I had a total of 500 combat tokens, I banked the spare armor and climbed the stairs to the third floor.
At the top of the Warriors' Guild I spoke with Kamfreena who agreed to release the cyclopes that drop bronze defenders. I entered their lair. Inside I faced level 57 and level 68 cyclopes. This time, they were aggressive towards me! The cyclopes lined up to take me on, but they were still no match for me and Arteria. They stopped being aggressive after I had defeated 17 cyclopes. I stayed in there until I had used up all 500 of my tokens. I was then forced out and Kamfreena scolded me for not leaving immediately. Insolent wench!
I killed 46 cyclopes. I did not find a defender. Here is a list of everything I did loot from the bodies of the cyclopes, in addition to the coins that went straight into my currency pouch:
16 black knives
18 off-hand black knives
2 grimy tarromin
3 medium bladed iron salvage
1 tiny blunt steel salvage
1 tiny plated steel salvage
3 tiny spiky steel salvage
5 medium bladed steel salvage
I banked the grimy tarromin and sold everything else on the Grand Exchange, except for the tiny blunt and plated steel salvage. Those weren't moving on the G.E. - not even after I had lowered my asking price to 20gp each. I sold the two tiny pieces of steel salvage to the Varrock General Store for 120gp each.
I have now killed a total of 108 cyclopes.

Late this afternoon I received my sixth antique chest from the Loot Duels promo. It was just over two months ago since the last time I opened one of these chests.
Inside the chest I found Sunglasses.
This is another P2P item.
Too bad, because these would look great on me!
Previously I have found a Flaming Head, an Imcando Axe, an Imcando Pistol, a Leprechaun Hat. and a Silver Hawk inside antique chests. The Golden Cane and the Imcando Channeling Rod are the only two rares I have yet to obtain from antique chests. Yes, I could spend 200 oddments to buy these two items instantly - but what would be the challenge in that? Besides, it's not as though I can use those items anyway.
