Dear Diary,

After my recent restorations of three more Zarosian artefacts, a pair of venator light crossbows and a Zarosian training dummy, my supply of archaeology materials was quite low. I had only 7 pieces of Third Age iron, 5 Zarosian insignia, and 4 bits of white oak. I was pretty well set with the rest. So after getting my Daily Challenges out of the way, I set off to gather materials.

First I teleported to Edgeville and ran to the top of Ice Mountain, where I excavated a full inventory of white oak. Then I used the Archaeology Journal to teleport to the campus, where I added the white oak to the storage container before excavating a full inventory of Third Age iron. I added the iron to the storage container and used the dig site map to travel to Kharid-et.

I entered the fort and excavated the legionary remains to find three more damaged artefacts - a gladius, a shield, and a standard. I gathered 96 portions of ancient gravel and plenty of materials. I also gained more materials by excavating the Imperial steel and Zarosian insignia caches. In the process I found 13 pylon batteries. I used 10 batteries to power the shadow anchor along the south wall near the entrance to the temple. I have now powered up three shadow anchors within Kharid-et. I have activated the anchors to the west and south. The three remaining shadow anchors I can power up are the ones near the oven.

I teleported back to the Archaeology Campus, where I banked the damaged artefacts and screened all the ancient gravel. I now have a decent amount of materials in the storage container. The three remaining pylon batteries are still in my pack.

Of course I will be back. ^_^

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This evening I completed three more Daily Challenges in Fletching, Woodcutting, and Crafting. I made 400 headless arrows and chopped nearly a full inventory of willow logs. I wasn't feeling the Crafting task (to make 10 urns), so I skipped it. I redeemed these challenges to reach 61 Fletching and 65 Woodcutting.

Just as I had redeemed my Daily Challenges, I received word of a goblin raid at the mine west of Port Sarim. I ran from the willows near the southwest Varrock mine to the west Varrock bank, deposited the logs, and teleported to the Port Sarim lodestone.

As I headed to the mine, I could see the battle had started without me. Most of the goblin raiders had already been killed by my friend Ricky. I first met him during a previous goblin raid north of the Crafting Guild. I battled a goblin raider along the north end of the mine. I killed this goblin and received some goblin mail. Once I won my fight, Ricky attacked Hollowtoof, quickly bringing the goblin leader down to his last 15,000 Life Points. I joined the fight and Hollowtoof died seconds later. Yodri and his guards arrived and awarded me 6 iron stone spirits, 6 coal stone spirits, and 8 clay. Ricky said "No gud." and teleported out. In the southeast corner of the mine, I noticed a raider shield lying on the ground. Apparently Ricky didn't want the shield, so I took it and teleported to Lumbridge.

After banking at the Lumbridge Market bank chest, I encountered Ricky again. He was chopping yews west of Lumbridge Market, as usual. Commenting on the recent defeat of the raiders, I said "So that was fun." as I joined him in chopping yews. We chatted for a bit. He built a bonfire in the center of the yews. I went and took 10 bones from my bank, then returned to add the bones to the fire.

Ricky told me about the Incite ability, used to make monsters aggressive. He told me "It makes them want you." I replied "That's never been a problem for me." He said "I bet."

*wicked grin*

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This morning I returned from another Archaeological expedition.

I had three goals in mind. I wanted to increase my supply of materials, and to discover more artefacts. However, my primary objective was to locate another 7 pylon batteries so that I could use them with the 3 batteries in my backpack to power another shadow anchor.

I teleported to the Kharid-et dig site, where I excavated 26 Samite silk from the caches near where the Duel Arena once stood. I also found 16 bits of ancient gravel. I placed the silk in the storage container, banked the gravel, and entered the fort.

I excavated the Legionary remains inside the fort. I found two square shields, as well as an extensive amount of materials, but no pylon batteries. Then I excavated the Imperial steel and Zarosian insignia material caches, alternating between the two. It was at these locations where I began finding pylon batteries. Before long, I had a total of 10 pylon batteries in my pack. I also had completely filled my soil box with ancient gravel, with just over half my pack filled with additional gravel.

I headed towards the oven. Along the long wall north of the oven, I located and powered up a fourth shadow anchor. There are two other anchors, one very close to the oven and another to the east of it, that I have yet to activate. Two other shadow anchors exist within the temple. However, I cannot access those.

With my pack now empty of pylon batteries, I teleported to the Archaeology Campus, where I banked the shields, screened a total of 81 ancient gravel, and added the materials I found to the storage container. Currently I have 32 white oak, 83 Third Age iron, 104 Samite silk, 132 Zarosian insignia, and 135 Imperial steel in storage. This should be plenty of materials for several restorations.

I neglected to mention before that I discovered pages 3 and 4 of the custodian's log on my two prior trips to Kharid-et. I now have them all. What will they tell me?

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Late this afternoon I won a shining large prismatic lamp on Treasure Hunter. I used this lamp to reach 69 Prayer. This did not increase my Combat Level.

I completed today's Daily Challenges in Firemaking, Thieving, and Mining by burning 10 oak logs on a bonfire, pickpocketing 2 women and 4 men around Lumbridge Market, and mining gold ore in Al Kharid. My current challenge weekly progress streak is now 11.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Today I trained my combat skills. My Daily Challenges were of no help in this regard. I was given tasks in Dungeoneering, Runecrafting, and Smithing. I decided to use skip tokens to auto-complete the other two challenges before I made 300 steel arrowheads in Lumbridge. I redeemed these challenges to get Smithing level 73.

After I had fletched 300 steel arrows and added them to my ammo slot (which now contains 5,700 steel arrows), I took my brass key from the bank chest and teleported to Varrock. I made my way to the hill giants' lair.

The giants were still aggressive towards me, as my combat level was exactly twice their own combat level of 44. I easily slaughtered them until my pack could hold no more loot. When I tried to make more room by alching some bronze or iron salvage, another hill giant would annoyingly attack me! At one point, I left the battle to run past the ladder near to the zombies so that I could alch 3 pieces of salvage and 9 iron arrows. I went back and killed a couple more giants, as well as a curious zombie that got in my way. Then I left to bank the herbs and runes I had found, and to sell 3 beers, 4 limpwurt roots, and a piece of plated iron salvage on the Grand Exchange. I grabbed the chargebow I took from that weak fool Kayle and teleported to Al Kharid. I ran north to the mine, stripped off my melee armor, and used the chargebow to shoot down 8 scorpions. I then switched back to my melee gear, killed 2 more scorpions, and teleported to Edgeville, where I banked the chargebow. At this point, I needed just under 3,000 XP to level Constitution, Defence, and Strength.

I entered Edgeville Dungeon and battled the poison spiders there. After I had killed 52 of them, the spiders stopped being aggressive. I did not. Upon killing the 68th spider, I reached Defence and Strength level 70 and was 15 XP from 70 Constitution. I got that, and Combat Level 89, from dead spider #69. I killed poison spider #70 and left.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This evening, after I had completed and redeemed my Daily Challenges, I received word of a goblin raid at the Lumbridge copper mine. I decided to attend to that

As I arrived at the mine, I noticed many of the goblin raiders had already been killed by my friend Ricky. I fought and killed two goblin raiders in the center of the mine. One dropped grimy guam, while the other dropped five bronze javelins. Ricky immediately attacked Hollowtoof, and I joined the fight. Hollowtoof died and I got a raider chainbody. Ricky said, "No gud. Better luck next time. You will get there!" and he teleported away. Yodri and his guards had arrived. He awarded me 17 iron stone spirits, 9 coal stone spirits, and 14 clay. I noticed two mind runes lying on the ground. Apparently Ricky didn't want them, so I took the runes and teleported back to the Lumbridge lodestone.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Tonight I decided to take advantage of the January sale and do some shopping at Solomon's.

First, I added 1,600 RuneCoins to my balance, bringing me to a total of 1,631 RC.

Next, I spent 420 RC to purchase the last two F2P bank boosters I didn't already have unlocked. Now my bank capacity is 670, with another 500 slots to store P2P items.

Then I spent 443 RC to buy the Gothic outfit, Energy Drain resting, and the Arcane teleport.

This has left me with a balance of 768 RC.

Love,
Kat
