Yes! Tonight I reached a nice combat milestone.

After being stuck at Combat Level 99 for what felt like ages, I am finally Combat Level 100!

It happened as I used a small smouldering lamp I had just won to raise my Prayer to level 72.

Yak To Basics update:

I completed Task #30 by Skilling and Killing 30 times. This was accomplished partly through my daily activities, and partly by working on the Runecrafting option for this task. I crafted 398/825 body runes, making six round trips between the rune essence mine and the body altar.

On my first run to the body altar, I encountered an Evil Oak Tree. I chopped and burned this tree, then collected my reward - some coins, 15 oak logs, and a willow seed. I would've expected to get an acorn from an oak tree, but not a willow seed. Maybe that's what turned this oak tree evil. Perhaps it went mad believing it was a willow tree.

I received Pinchy, the scorpion pet. Of all the pets for me to own...a scorpion ? My list of pets on page 11 has been updated. This is my 54th pet.

I went on to use a skip token to auto-complete Task #31, which would've been a choice between crafting 1,500 pieces of blue dragonhide armor or stringing 1,600 bows. Both of these grindy tasks sounded like a horrible waste of time, so I skipped this one. I still have one skip token remaining, since I bought one at the Spring Festival.

I received the Water Mage's Staff cosmetic override.

For Task #32 I can harpoon 400 swordfish or kill 1,800 monsters. I think I'll go fishing. Sure, it is Combat Week, and I do enjoy combat - but 1,800 is not a reasonable target with less than a week to go and 19 tasks undone. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Yak To Basics update:

I more than completed Task #32 by harpooning 401/400 swordfish from the dock on Karamja. I also caught 433 tuna. I ended up making 32 runs from the dock to Stiles, so he could note the fish for me. I added these 834 fish, along with 26 bananas, to my bank.

For Task #33, I can string 1,800 bows or chop 475 yew logs.

Time to do some more Woodcutting.

I noticed today that this Yak Track has been extended by another week. Now it is set to end not this coming Sunday, but the following Sunday. I reckon the returned and the not-quite-returned players needed more time to work on the Yak Track.

I completed Task #35 by cooking 1,200 swordfish in Al Kharid. Afterwards, I sold those 1,200 swordfish on the Grand Exchange for 1,080,000gp (900gp each).

For Task #36, I can craft/siphon 990 body runes or bury 1,400 bones.

While I could use the Prayer XP, I'll be runecrafting for this task. That will be quicker and not ridiculously expensive. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!
