I've gotten Ulric to level 12, which unlocked the recipe for the Bastion Of Fortitude Platelegs. To craft this cosmetic override, Ulric requires:

300 Travelling Artisan Patches
30 rubies
100 bronze bars
300 logs
400 salmon O_o

The rest I could excuse - but what the falador does Ulric need 400 cooked salmon for? Are these platelegs to be crafted from bronze and wood, then encrusted with rubies and cooked fish? Does crafting platelegs really make him that hungry?

This is obviously an attempt to involve skills and items in this event where they have no logical reason to be included.

Something is certainly fishy here. ;)

I've been focusing on combat a lot lately. I just got all my melee stats to level 70 and hit CL 97! Nice work getting to CL 116!

We should do some drunken zombie fighting again some time. It's been a while.

This afternoon, I took a brief side trip to Daemonheim to browse the Rewards Shop. I didn't end up buying anything. However, while I was there, I decided to use the medium prismatic lamp I had in my backpack to gain 9,837 XP in Dungeoneering. At the time, I was only 7,957 XP away from the next level, so this got me to Dungeoneering level 86! :)

My Total Level is 1596 (Virtual Level 1601).

All my F2P skills are now at level 86 or higher. ^_^ Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Knight Before Christmas Yak Track update:

I have completed Task #12 after chopping 25 maple logs in the Daemonheim resource dungeon, then chopping 200 yew logs in Edgeville.

For Task #13, I can either catch 150 fish (salmon or better) or earn 356,250 Smithing XP.

I'll be going fishing, instead of burning through many, many protean bars. I still hate how Jagex made Smithing essentially an unviable skilling option for this Yak Track. Of course, these Yak things have never been about fun, healthy gameplay. They're about selling bonds to skip content. I do not pay to play - and I will certainly not pay to not play. Knight Before Christmas Yak Track update:

I more than completed Task #13 by harpooning 66 swordfish and 92 tuna. 158/150 fish caught.

Task #14 was a choice between crafting 700 pieces of ranged armor (Snakeskin/Green Dragonhide/Blue Dragonhide) or burning 1,430 logs (willow or better). Neither of those appealed to me, so I used a skip token to auto-complete this grindy task. I have 2 skips left.

For Task #15, I can either smelt 1,010 bars (steel or better) or play minigames 25 times. Since smelting is not dead content, unlike minigames, I'll be doing that. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!
