Early Saturday morning, I made progress on two of the goals I mentioned in the previous post!
I made two trips to the Al Kharid resource dungeon, with an empty backpack, to mine emeralds, rubies, and diamonds. When my pack was full, I cut the gems. On my second trip, I got 18 emeralds, 3 rubies, and 7 diamonds. I cut the rubies first, then the diamonds. Just as I cut the last diamond, I managed to reach Crafting level 79!
Now all I need to do is gain one more Crafting level to have all my F2P skills at or above level 80! After the gain, I went on to cut all those emeralds.
My Total Level is 1510.
Before teleporting to Al Kharid, I spent some time harvesting a LOT of pale wisps. This got me over 3600 pale energy but, more importantly, it also got me 6 additional chronicle fragments, bringing my total up to 18. This completed a daily Divination challenge as well. However, since I reached the level 5 skill cap in this skill - and all other P2P non-elite skills - years ago, redeeming this challenge did absolutely nothing for me, except to remove the completed challenge from my list.

Early Thursday morning, while training at Gunther's skilling stations in the Lumbridge Crater during the Winter Chill Off, I reached Fletching level 81!
Now my three lowest F2P skills are Crafting (at level 79) along with Dungeoneering and Prayer (both at level 80). All other skills are at 81 or better.
My Total Level is 1511.
Also, on Tuesday night, I managed to find one of the Crumpled letters. These items are found randomly while skilling during the Chill Off. I found the letter addressed to Gunther. It explains why he believes himself to be a wolpertinger, as well as who is responsible for his delusion. Not surprising information, but still it's nice to have confirmation. If you use the letter on Gunther, nothing interesting happens. Literally.
It hit me while I was at the Winter Chill Off this morning there may be more of a connection between two of the NPCs than what we know. As I ran past Norm, I suddenly realized his name is an anagram of Morn. Maybe it's a coincidence - but maybe it isn't. Perhaps Norm is a normal guy, but Morn is an abNORMal persona of his. In a similar way to how The Doctor sometimes meets other regenerations of himself on Doctor Who (yes, I said "him", as I reject Doctor Woke as non-canon), perhaps Norm and Morn are two aspects of the same person.
It would be like Jagex to hide a twist like this in plain sight. We shall see. Yes, we shall see.

Late Saturday night, I decided to do some fishing - something I rarely do these days.
After gathering two full inventories of swordfish and tuna, which I noted, on Karamja, I took a break to pick some bananas to take with me as I visited the lesser demons. They were not pleased to see me. I only received coins and ashes plus 10 death runes and 31 fire runes for drops. After I climbed out of there, I went back to the plantation to pick more bananas. Once my pack was full, I teleported to Al Kharid.
I banked everything, then withdrew the swordfish and tuna to cook them on the range north of the bank. This took two trips. After depositing the cooked fish, I teleported to Draynor Village.
From Draynor I ran south until I neared the Wizards' Tower. I then dove down to gather some tasty seaweed (I've not tasted it myself, so I don't know how tasty it truly is!) and to use the fishing spot unlocked by the Beneath Cursed Tides quest. This got me Fishing level 89!
I also got another sea cucumber to add to my collection. I'm not exactly sure why I've been keeping these items. My bank is a strange and wondrous place.

On Sunday night, I completed a daily challenge to cook 25 pieces of food. I used some of the raw beef I had collected a couple of days ago while on a Slayer task to kill 38 cows (one of which was a super cow). Redeeming this challenge got me to Cooking level 89!
My Total Level is 1513.
I am one Cooking level and one Fishing level away from having two more skills in the 90s! However, neither of these are skills I train much anymore.

On Monday afternoon, I returned to battle some cyclopes, in hopes of finding a rune defender.
It took some time, and a lot of dead cyclopes, but finally I am the proud owner of a rune defender!
I have two of each of the lesser defenders, so I will be looking to score a second rune version of the weapon another time.
Early this morning, I helped my pal Holly mine a crashed star at the southwest mining site outside of Varrock. Just as we both claimed our rewards, a goblin raidimg party appeared in the same area - unfortunately for them. After Holly and I dispatched the raiders, we both fought Hollowtoof. He is Combat Level 77. Holly and I have a combined Combat Level of 212. He stood no chance. Holly got a Raider Chainbody, while I found a Raider Axe.

That was a fun time! It reminded me of the old days when we'd go killing goblins around Lumbridge. It seems like such a long time ago now. Good times.
BTW, your total for our combined Combat Level is a little low. I am CL 101 now, so together we would be Combat Level 214. Still, you're right. Hollowtoof didn't stand a chance against us!
Thanks again for helping me mine that crashed star! That added XP came in handy. I was in the Mining Guild this afternoon, then I went to the Dwarven Mine, where I got level 81 Mining!
Ah, sorry about that Holly! I knew you'd reached CL 100, but I didn't realize you had gotten CL 101. I don't know why I thought you were CL 99. Maybe because it seemed you were stuck at that level for SO long, like I was at CL 111.
Then again, maybe I was just tired and not thinking clearly.
So congrats...you're still only 12 Combat Levels below me. Before you say it, yes your Ranged level is still a little bit better than mine. You know me. My combat triangle is actually a straight line. Hehe.

I scored six ancient relics shortly before tonight's reset, using only two free TH keys.
I got 20 uncut diamonds, 40 springs, a set of Long Horns, a large star...and the Coin Of Balance!

On Monday, I completed the brand new quest, Once Upon A Slime.
I claimed all the rewards, including the top hat cosmetic override from Eva. This means I have also gained another pet - Lil Miss Gloop. My list of pets on page 11 has been updated.
When I saw you could use the bucket Peter gives you on King Slime to get a bucket of green slime, I wondered if this item could be used to obtain the Lil Gloop pet previously available, even though I ended up destroying the bucket of green slime during the quest, thinking I could get another one if I needed it to finish the quest, or to get the Lil Gloop pet I missed before. Well, that didn't happen. Afterwards, I looked up the quest guide and read that, according to the RS Wiki, the bucket of green slime has no use. Good to know. Oh well, that's one less useless item to store in my bank!

Late Sunday night, I helped to defeat an Evil maple tree that had appeared north of the Grand Exchange. Two other players were there chopping the tree, which still had 95% of its health when I arrived. Nobody else had used any kindling to set the Evil maple tree on fire, so I worked my way around it, chopping the roots and setting fires as I went along. Before the Evil tree died, I managed to reach Woodcutting level 82!
I earned 100% of my reward from this Evil tree, which was a bird's nest, 93 maple logs, and 1,561 coins. After burning the remaining kindling, I teleported to Edgeville, where I banked the nest and the logs, then began chopping yews. Thanks to the leprechaun's magic, the yew logs instantly were sent to my bank. This buff was in effect for 18 minutes.
After the logs stopped being magically escorted to the bank, I got three additional yew logs before returning to the bank. I deposited the yews and withdrew a full inventory of those maple logs I had received from killing the Evil tree. I used these to build a bonfire beside the bank. After burning 21 of these logs, I got Firemaking level 82!
I burned another 21 maple logs, for a total of 42, before the bonfire went out.
My Total Level is 1515.
I've only recently started hunting Evil trees, since I don't normally train Firemaking or Woodcutting all that much. This maple tree is only the fourth Evil tree I have encountered. Previously, I have destroyed, or helped to destroy, an Evil oak tree west of Falador, an Evil yew tree south of the Draynor bank, and a second Evil oak tree west of Falador (which was a solo kill for me). Previous rewards for killing these Evil trees have included an acorn, a bird's nest (which has a different icon from the one I just found, so they don't stack in the bank), and a willow tree seed.
