I have enjoyed a spur of free time recently and thought I would spend some of it in Gielinor and catch up on updates that I have missed. Much of this time has been spent on Old School Runescape, where I have been questing, fighting and skilling all over the shop.
I'm reluctant to set any major goals out of fear it will take an embarrassingly long time to reach with my other commitments. Despite this, I will set one anyway. My current goal is to get the Quest Cape. At the moment I have 121 Quest Points which is fairly modest as it stands but bit by bit I have been hammering away at the long red list. The most recent quest I completed was "Swan Song". It feels like a life time ago since I completed it on what is now known as RS3 and I must say I remember it being far more difficult but this is most likely because this time around I am a higher level with a better understanding of the game.
I'm quite eager to try "Monkey Madness II" seeing as this is only on OSRS but I am a long way off being able to start this quest. In the meantime I have been training various skills to meet quest requirements and beefing up my combat stats through slayer.
I still enjoy RS3 but I seem to have lost the love for it that I once had. I have my Max cape and 120 mining but I realise I am by no means complete with so much more to do. I am not really a fan of combat in RS3 and I must confess I love the old clunky combat of days gone by. There are still plenty of 120's for me to achieve but with the limited time I have available I feel as though it is too much of a grind. I realise all 99's are a grind but 104 million exp is a little too far for me. OSRS has allowed me to recapture that spark and enjoyment for Runescape I had when I started back in 2008. Still, I eagerly await more god quests in RS3.
