Tell me adventurer, what is the greatest force in existence?

Is it Order? Which cannot bend or buckle, too firm and rigid in its ways?
Is it Chaos? Which cannot be tamed or controlled having no meaning to its wild actions?
Is it Morals? Law which seeks to always blame, yet perverts itself in self-preservation?
Is it Power? Sheer volume in might and knowledge which stands alone, but ruins civilization?
Is it Balance? Which seeks to raise the weak and lower the strong into mediocrity?
Is it Love? Which blinds and binds us to things meant not meant to last?
Is it Desire? Which deludes the mind into chasing after it at any cost?
Is it Fate? Which denies us a choice and cruelly rules over like a tyrant?
Is it Freedom? Which lets us wander and roam into our own demise?

Then tell me adventurer, how balanced is the world? What was it that raised the scales of one and dropped the scales of another? What tips the battle to either side?
What subtly shifts the tides of Order and Chaos?
What influences the factors of moral Law and the rise of individuals of Power above it?
What entangles the Selflessness of pure Love against the self-centered Desire?
What liberates and enslaves us all?

In my world there is a name to such a force, and in my world there is one who embodies it.

Arenji.

The Goddess of Luck.
The spirit of fortune, both feared and revered for she is fickle.

She appears in the form of an unassuming cat, welcoming and mewling,
Her fur as pure as silken silver, and her eyes as lustrous as polished gold,
Her charming smile disarms, her paws beckon you closer,
And no collar does she wear around her neck,
For no owner does she have, nor will she ever be with you long.

But beware of her playful wiles, admire her only from the front, and do not turn away.
For to grab her by the tail is to invite her to bite and tear you to into pieces.
And to turn away is to be cursed by her black shadow, and misfortune comes.

Arenji

Inspiration:
Eastern + Western + Old Jagex Silliness.
Maneki-neko + Black Cat Superstition + ...

Domain: Luck.

Background:
Arenji (pronounced exactly as you think it is. R.N.G.) is the "Goddess" of the Eastern Lands.
Though the eastern lands tend to not believe in gods, Arenji is worshiped as a spirit representing the duality of forces by her very nature. Thus while she may not be an official god, many pay homage to her and what she represents. Sailors pray to her for good winds, assassins to strike the vital point, fisherman for a good haul. Witches call upon her to hex victims, and bandits have taken her name to swear and curse should their plots be foiled.

As the story above suggests, Arenji appears as a feline who wanders from place to place, meeting people as she goes. Yet one should never be the first to approach the goddess, for she may flee before those seeking to capture her upon her nimble paws. However, should she present herself before you consider yourself honored to have such a blessing bestowed.

Offer her a small meal or token of respect, and she may find it comfortable to stay with you awhile. As such under her influence you will find her grace to have rubbed off on you and while she remains with you, nothing can go wrong for you and success is practically guaranteed. Yet she will not stay long, even with the bribes you may indulge her with, and one day she will leave your side, perhaps when you need her most.

But never ever try to grasp her tail nor hold her, for that would be to attempt to own her and catch her. The goddess shall punish those who try with death, turning into a whirling fury of tooth and claw, tearing and biting a fool who did not heed such warnings. Her cuteness traded for ferocity, her small form turning monstrous as she devours your soul whole into her jaws.

However, there are fates worse than death and oblivion, and thus the most important lesson to take part from these tales from the Eastern Lands is to never, ever turn one's back to Arenji. Never should you walk away from it if it approaches, never turn around and desert her. For should you foolishly ignore her presence and simply walk away, her shadow shall follow you. You shall find yourself her prey, a darkness of misfortune shall make everything you attempt fail and crumble. Ill luck upon you to anger Arenji such that her shadow haunts your side, for even in wanting to die out of sheer misery of a cursed life, you will not find such relief. You will lose everything and everyone you ever loved, water shall be bitter to the point of being undrinkable, food shall be sour until it is unpalatable. Life itself become a torment, and though you may throw yourself off cliffs and chasms, drown yourself in oceans and seas, or challenge foes far greater and more skilled, death will never come as if by some stroke of luck you shall be saved. Thus the vengeance of Arenji shall be eternal.

Appearance:
Arenji takes the appearance of white house cat. Clean of fur and face, and wanders the world freely, stepping across water as creatures of the deep rise to shuttle it across islands, or great eagles soar to glide it across the skies. Abyssal creatures tear fabrics of worlds for her to pass through in hopes that she brings good fortune to them.

Her shadows can solidify into felines as well, though completely black, obscuring and dark as they stalk their quarry, while her monstrous form resembles that of a great cat beast. Her monstrous form is no greater than the average predatory big cat, however compared to her docile house cat form, it is far more intimidating with sharpened teeth and claws bared to devour your flesh and soul.

History:
Arenji is, as her appearance suggests, somehow related to Amascut. Some suggest as her some of abilities point towards she is a Soul Devourer. However this point is rejected by the Eastern Landers who fail to understand the strange concept of Desert Gods. Only spirits roam the Eastern Isles. Rather they suggest that Arenji was once a woman married to an ancestral Khan who was turned into her current form as punishment for some crime she did sometimes cited as wickedness in ruling her subjects or killing the Khan in an attempted coupe.

In truth, Arenji is indeed one of the dark creatures of the Underworld, escaped and enlightened. A Devourer of Amascut who devoured the souls of so many adventurers and regurgitated them back into the world as she absorbed their power... And all those beings that those adventurers have slain, their souls also then are owed to the awakening Arenji, and then are brought back to life, to be slain again and again in time after their rebirth, each time Arenji gains more power to escape the underworld no longer as a mere dark creature...

She has fled from the anger of Amascut who resided in the desert, so Arenji fled east into the seas where they called her a local spirit.

Arenji was no spirit, but a Goddess divine!

-------

That is my submission.
Sadly I cannot draw, therefore I hope my concept is enough of a selling point.

I really like the concept of a goddess of luck. There's a few others on here that I think are really good too. Seems to me like Jagex is gonna have a tough time deciding which one should be in the game!

My God is called Drago (pronounced Draw-go). He is the God of the Dragonkin. Drago was born as a very sick Dragonkin. He was projected to die within weeks. So his parents prayed to Jas asking her to make their child strong no matter what the cost. Jas decided to grant their request, but at the expense of their own life. So in disregard to their own life they agreed to Jas' demands so their son could live. Their bodies were destroyed and Drago was cured while the spirits of his parents were into Drago increasing his power tremendously. With no parents Jas decided to look after Drago until he could rejoin his people. 18 years later he returned to his people showing what great power he had obtained from Jas this convinced them that Drago was a God. But some time latter the Elder Gods felt like the Dragonkin were a threat and decided that they must be destroyed. Jas tried to stop this from happening claiming that she would enslave them so they won't be a threat, but she was ignored and the rest went to kill all the Dragonkin. Jas told Drago what was going to happen so he used his great power to open a portal so his people could escape, but it was to late the Elder Gods had arrived and started destroying every Dragonkin in sight Drago could only get a few out in time. Right when Drago was about to go through the portal Ful the second oldest Elder God got a hit on him and he was turned to ash and the portal was destroyed. Jas took Drago's body and put the ashes into the Stone of Jas she then enslaved the Dragonkin under the stone. When the other Elder Gods found out they decided to let this slide. Over time Drago was forgotten by the Dragonkin becoming nothing, but ancient history.

Sorry there is not artwork i'm not an artist, but he would look like a normal Dragonkin but with more human like hands and feet, five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. He doesn't carry a weapon sense he is a peaceful god. Finally he wears a pure white robe.

The dragonkin, feared creatures from a previous cycle of the universe once obeyed a god before they were enslaved by Jas. He thought himself all powerful, this power lead to a drunken brutality against all who did not worship him. He was known as Lith Verak by the dragonkin. He found that even with his power many of the dragonkin did not worship him. This caused him great unease to the point where he sought the stone of Jas, a powerful artifact created by the elder god Jas. Once he had acquired the stone the elder god Jas hunted him down as to reclaim the stone. As a form of retribution for his sins against her Jas used her power to bind the dragonkin in servitude to the stone. They were then forced to turn on Lith Verak, empowered by the stone the dragonkin began to attack the great god. They hacked at his body and assaulted him with their unnaturally hot fire breath causing the pieces of flesh to fall to the ground as seemingly ruined lumps of metal like material. Eventually Lith Verak died and his power was fed into the stone further strengthening the hold the stone had over the dragonkin. The dragon kin sought to free themselves and tried to make weapons from the flesh of the fallen god. These weapons would come to be known as “dragon” metal weapons. Once their attempt at fighting Jas for their freedom failed, Jas cast them and their weapons to far reaching places where they were destined to wait until another false user, such as their former god had been, were to try and utilize the great power held within the stone of Jas. At such a time they would be compelled by great rage and pain to do the bidding of Jas and eliminate the false user as they had once eliminated their own god.

tl;dr

God name: Lith Verak
Significance: former god of the dragonkin from their early history.
Reason for being awesome: Would explain early lore one one of the most powerful and far reaching creatures on Gielinor today.
Hands of a skiller, Mind of a jester!
