My favorite track is definitely "Book of A Thousand Songs." The vocals and harmonies are so pretty, I often listen to it on repeat honestly. The other track I love listening to is "Harmony." It instantly takes me back to 2008-2009 when I first started playing RS in 5th grade. Definitely a lot of nostalgia there. ^_^

RuneScape has so much great music, it's really hard to choose one track! There is one that I keep listening to, though, and it's the track that plays in Canifis: Village.

I really enjoyed reading all of the RS novels and playing the Myreque quests, so this track reminds me of many great moments from these stories. Because of the novels, I became really interested in the RS lore as a whole and they motivated me to get the quest cape for the first time! So this track has a very adventurous feel to it for me and it brings back many memories from playing all the different quests.

I can also remember the time very well that I read the novels for the first time around 2010-2011, which is the time most of my friends played and my favourite skill Dungeoneering got released. So in short, Village evokes so many memories from all around Gielinor, there really is no other music track that does that the same way for me! :)

Wending through the Willows is my favorite track.

A simple and haunting melody sung beautifully by Kerry Bolland to a background of piano and strings.
The lyrics take you back in time as well.

I believe this song may have been one of the first reward songs granted to a player upon finishing a quest. The quest being..Song from the Depths.. which brought us the Queen Black Dragon. A great voice acted quest as well!

I don't know if there are any other options but Newbie Melody will always be at the top of the list, its one of the first sounds every player experienced when first starting the game. It is instantly recognized by thousands (I would not be surprised if there are millions who can recognize it). A close second would be Harmony, I can still remember hearing this song as I walked all around the game because I was to much of a noob and had no idea about magic or teleporting. I used to love having the sound on and listening to the music as I got lost, it was a great way to enjoy the time I spent wandering the game.

A third favorite is Autumn Voyage, it always left me with a holiday vibe, with the bell sounds and just melody!

I am looking back now at a lot of the Old Runescape Music and it is bringing back so many amazing memories! I still have a bunch of these songs on my computer that I downloaded and now ill be putting them on my phone to listen to as I take my next big road trip next month! If I win or loose this contest I am still the winner because I rediscovered some great songs from my childhood (but hopefully win haha!) I would love the chance to be part of the process to help you guys create a song that hopefully can be a part of the next generation of Runescape players lives!

See you in England!

Scape Santa because it is almost christmas, and this would make for an awesome christmas present for a really good friend I met at my first RuneFest in 2013 and have seen only on too few occasions since then unfortunately.

Also I've loved to experience some of the music live at RuneFest and it would be amazing to experience again. :D
- The RuneScape theme played by the real orchestra is great!

My favourite track is Memories of Guthix. It’s a beautifully crafted score and ties amazingly well with such an emotional telling of Guthix’s past, brought to a crescendo with the final moments of his life. The quest would not be the same without the brilliant work that went into the soundtrack.

Tune. :P

As a music teacher, the music in this game always has been important to me. I feel it adds to the game so much.

While I was SO excited at the announcement of the live music for RS3, and as much as I adore it and think it is very well done, one of the original songs still holds the place nearest and dearest to my heart... and that is the original Scape Santa. I started playing RS2 a week or so before Christmas in 2002 or 2003 (can't remember which now, it's been so long... lol), so that was the song that played every time I opened up the login page during my first weeks in RuneScape. To this day, that original Scape Santa brings me back to those early adventures, combined with a jolly holiday spirit.

A close second is Evil Bob's Island, because when I got that random event for the first time, the beginning of that song scared the pants off my little middle-school-aged-self!

Cheers,

My favorite song is the original version of Arrival, I loved it as a kid and it has stuck with me since even when I hear it. I really enjoy how it has the marching style drum beat then varies back and forth with a softer more electronic tone. I remember when I was a kid way back in 2005 trying to figure out a way to get it onto a CD so I could play it when my friends came over for a sleep over! Talk about an epic way to start a party then. The remixed version is good too, however I feel like the drum march isn't as prominent as the original version was.

*Re-posting here upon realization that I posted in the wrong thread*

While my song of preference has changed over the years, 'Scape Original' will always have a special place in my heart. When I first started playing I quickly found out my computer couldn't really handle sound while playing Runescape. I barely heard any bars of 'Scape Original' when I first fired up Runescape, and they were warped by lag.

Fast-forward two years when my family got a new computer, 'Scape Original' was the first track I heard when I dared to try and run Runescape with the sound back on. Hearing that song in its entirety was like discovering the answer to a riddle I had been turning over in the back of my mind for weeks upon months upon years. It was like I had stumbled on a brand new frontier, different and yet familiar. The music breathed a whole new dimension into Runescape for me and whenever I listen to 'Scape Original,' I revisit that sense of absolute wonder I felt when I discovered it. It is the theme of infinite possibility, waiting to be uncovered.
